I think it's this right?

Oh, yeah, I forgot about that thing. ::)
You're probably right Jayson... though I thought that Anakin/Vader 4-pack was a retail exclusive? Maybe it's one of those shared on-line exclusive things then I guess?
-
Target was the retail partner, but that was at Toy Fair. Maybe things changed (that never happens) ::) :P
-
At $35, those will rot where ever they go.
I don't advocate the destruction of tooling, but that open right handed Vader mold needs to die. At least the hand anyway.

Target has the one with the table. This one was always an online exclusive.

That's right, thanks for the reminder.

The concept has always been kind of cool. But in the case of Anakin it's revisiting something that was done back in 2005. Now if this is a BBTS exclusive, it makes that much less sense. BBTS is really collector focused. If you wanted to appeal to more casual fans with this set, an online exclusive was not the way to go. A set like this would need brick & mortar retail exposure.

If it were cheap, I could impulse buy it, and the packaging were some exquisite Vintage-esque design, I'd be into it because it's such a central character, and I'd actually leave it packaged which I rarely do. It'd be kind of centerpiece-ish. As it stands, like Nick said, it's barely a notch above a rehash of the original Vader Evo set...
I totally love Evolutions though... Really a dropped ball in terms of what they COULD have done. Especially if they delved into the concept level... Concept, Figure, Concept, Figure, Concept, Figure... a 6 figure set would prompt me to drop some coin, especially if it had new McQuarrie figures in it.
Concept RFT, RFT, Concept Hoth Rebel, Hoth Rebel, Concept Endor Rebel, Endor Rebel... I'm there in a heartbeat.

Looks like this set is coming this month according to Entertainment Earth (http://www.entertainmentearth.com/prodinfo.asp?number=HSA4183#.UgT2nRa9x30). Still no clue as to how this will be packaged but if the Jedi Knight sets are any indication, I'm betting the Vader/Lava 2.0 line look.

I'd much rather buy an evolution pack featuring troopers...
Rebel: Fleet Trooper, Hoth Trooper, Endor Trooper (maybe a tech, officer or pilot if they need a fourth)
Imperial: Stormtrooper, Sandtrooper (or naval trooper), Snowtrooper, Biker Scout
Also, why have they never tried evolution packs with the main characters (aside from Darth)?
Han: ANH outfit, Bespin, Carbonite block (or pre-carbon freeze), ROTJ
Leia: Much-needed ANH resculpt, Bespin escape, Boussh resculpt, Endor battle
Luke: ANH (resurgence sculpt), Pilot, Dagobah training, Final battle (with flap down)

Love when Hasbro makes it easy to say, "no thanks!", and move on. :D

Is Lil Ani new?

Is Lil Ani new?
Pretty sure that it might be the same figure as the TVC TPM wave (Padawan Anakin).
-
Yeah, You're right. I wasn't even paying attention to which Ani it was.
-
Same removable helmet/crappy right hand Darth Vader everyone has 5 of. Why not the ANH one? Not that it matters. They also could've repaint Sith eyes on Anakin as normal eyes and ticked completists off.
