This is something I've been wanting to do for a long time now.  I was able to get a POTF2 AT-AT at a garage sale for $6, and all that's missing from it are the chin guns and the side door panel.  I've been wanting to paint it a forest camouflage style on it (greens and browns like the US Army).  I've never done customizing before, so this will be my first attempt.  What paints would be best to use on that type of plastic, and any ideas on what greens & browns would be best to use for this?  I want the camouflage to look something like this...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Just saw a TV commercial for this game, and it looks sweeeeeet!  What does everyone here think about this upcoming game?  Do you have it on pre-order?  Are you going to play it for the PC or XBOX?

Watto's Junk Yard / Big Brother 4 on CBS
« on: July 7, 2003, 07:28 PM »

Who here is a "Big Brother" fan?  I love the show, and this year it's going to be a little bit different.  CBS calls it the "X Factor."  It's first show will be on July 8th at 8pm ET, and I will definitely be watching this.  Let this be the official thread for "Big Brother 4."

Jocasta's Reading Room / Insider #69
« on: July 2, 2003, 03:49 PM »
Did anyone happen to catch what was said on page 6 of the latest issue of Insider (#69)?  Rick McCallum basically said they're planning on EP3 to be the shortest of the previous two movies.

Now what does everyone here think about that?  I hope it's not going to be the shortest movie.  It should actually be the longest movie.  There are so many questions that need to be answered.  So much to tell.  So many worlds to visit.

From all the rumors I have heard and read, I was thinking EP3 would be between 2.5 and 3 hours in length.  I'm hoping for 3 hours and nothing less of 2 hours.

Vintage Kenner / Vintage eBay Auctions Gone Bad
« on: July 1, 2003, 12:43 AM »

If you notice a really bad Vintage eBay auction, post it here.  This includes auctions that are total scams, way over priced, or just outrageous in all senses.

Here's my first two contributions which are from the same seller.  Read the descriptions on both very carefully.  They're EXACTLY the SAME description, but one is selling for $1,000 and other is at $130.  Check 'em out...

Watto's Junk Yard / Honda Commercial in the UK
« on: June 30, 2003, 01:22 PM »
One of my friends sent me this email about a Honda commercial.  It's very cool, and below is the URL and the content of the email that was sent to me.  I don't usually ever forward emails like this, but this is a VERY cool commercial.  Enjoy!   ;D

http://home.attbi.com/%7Ebernhard36/honda-ad.html

This is a Honda Accord commercial from British TV.  The above link will
take you to a page that will run the commercial.  Below is a bit of how the
commercial was made and that everything you see on the film actually
happened.  It took 606 takes to get it to work from beginning to end.

New Honda commercial in the UK. Very important that you understand: There
are no computer graphics or digital tricks in the film. Everything you see
really happened in real time exactly as you see it. The film took 606
takes. On the first 605 takes, something, usually very minor, didn't work.
They would then have to set the whole thing up again. The crew spent weeks
shooting night and day. By the time it was over, they were ready to change
professions.

The film cost six million dollars and took three months to complete
including a full engineering the sequence. In  addition, it's two minutes
long so every time Honda airs the film on British television, they're
shelling out enough dough to keep any one of us in clover for a lifetime.
However, it is fast becoming the most downloaded advertisement in Internet
history.

Everything you see  in the film (aside from the walls, floor, ramp, and
complete Honda Accord) are parts from those two cars.

Jocasta's Reading Room / Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter
« on: June 14, 2003, 08:31 PM »
Anyone read this book yet?  I'm almost finished with it, and I think it's an awesome book!  I love the characters Lorn Pavan and I-Five.  They were just as great together as Han Solo and Chewbacca.  Darsh Assant is another great character.

Does anyone know if there are any other books out there with Darth Maul in them (except EP1)?  Darth Maul was awesome in this book!

You can finally check out the EP3 updates on starwars.com.  Be sure to check it out.  There's only a few things you can check out right now, because most of the items require the new "Hyperspace" pass.  It's still pretty cool though.

Check out the official Star Wars website... they've totally changed the look of it!  It only looks like the home page has been revamped, because the other pages within the site are still the same.  What do you think about the new layout?

Watto's Junk Yard / Yoda on MTV?
« on: June 5, 2003, 10:15 PM »
Did anyone see Yoda on MTV tonight?  I didn't see it, but my wife was watching the movie awards and Yoda came on it.  Here's how my wife described it...

"Yoda was accepting an award for something like best something, and he made a speech and was flying in the air.  Then he busts out with a 'yo and to all yall people, your way I can do it, peace to my homies' or something crazy like that.  Then he said force it may be with you while worshipping the queen, latifah...."

I wish I had seen it!

Watto's Junk Yard / "COPS" TV Show
« on: June 2, 2003, 07:48 PM »

How many other people here are addicted to this great TV show???  I get to see it four times a day, and then twice on Saturday nights.  I just can't get enough of this show.  The best shows they ever did was when the show first started, because they didn't have so many rules when videotaping crime scenes.  Case in point, the other night they showed a close-up of a dead police officer.  Now I wasn't too thrilled with seeing that, but the shows back in the day weren't as censored as they are today.

Does ANYONE here have a definitive date when this book is going to be released?  I have a raincheck for this at my local Barnes & Noble, and they will only say "May" for an answer.  Well, May is over in just over 12 hours.

I have the 1st edition of this book and it's a must-have for any Star Wars collector.  I'm dying to get the 2nd edition, because it has TONS more pictures and items.  It includes MOC/MISB pricing versus loose pricing!  I can't wait to get it.

Click here to read more about it from the Barnes & Noble website.
