Vintage Kenner / Vintage Star Wars Imperial Dignitary prototype

I'm not very knowledgeable in vintage prototypes, but does this auction seem legit?  Is this something that Kenner would normally do?  It says it comes from a former Kenner employee, but what kind of proof could the seller provide about that?

Other Collectibles / Master Replicas Force FX Lightsabers

This lightsaber is now on sale for only $89 (normally $139) at Master Replicas.



Does anyone here own this lightsaber?  Is it worth it?  I've been really wanting to get a replica lightsaber for a while now, and at this price I'm thinking how could I go wrong?  Anyone care to comment?

Other Collectibles / PEZ dispensers

I have just received the rest of my needed Star Wars PEZ dispensers to finish my collection, but I have a question for everyone here.  Half of these are in their original baggies, and the others are loose.  I want to display them, and would probably want to just remove them from their baggies.  But, would that totally destroy the value of these?  I don't know the value of Star Wars PEZ dispensers, so if anyone could give me some insight here I'd appreciate it.  Thanks!

Episode 1 / What's your favorite vehicle?

What is your favorite Episode 1 vehicle?  I don't own this, but I really like the Naboo Royal Starship.  I saw one of these at a flea market once, and man is it huge!  It's a bit pricey... the guy was asking for $150 and the box was totally beat up.

1:6 Scale Figures and Collectibles / Which one would you want made?

What 12" figure would you want made that hasn't already been released?  If I had to choose I would love to see either a Dark Trooper or Space Trooper from the Expanded Universe.  I would also like to see a Lobot made as well.

Vintage Kenner / big kid weapons

Does anyone here collect the "big kid" weapons (for people and not actual figures)?  I don't have any at the moment.  I used to have Han Solo's blaster when I was a kid, but I can't find that damn thing anywhere.  Any collectors of the toy weapon line here?

Power of the Force 2 / What's the figure you hate the most?

There were so many POTF2 figures created, that it's pretty hard to tell which one I hated the most.  Here's a list of the ones I thought were pretty crappy...
  • R5-D4 -- I could never understand why he had that launching rocket mechanism.  I don't ever remember him shooting a rocket in any of the movies before.
  • Monkey Face Leia -- I think this figure will be on everyone's list.
  • Lando & Luke (buff version) -- When did they have body-building gyms during the Star Wars time frame?  I don't remember seeing a Bally's in the movies.
  • R2-D2 (flashback) -- His middle leg is enormous!  Talk about having Elephantitis!

Vintage Kenner / Mini-Rigs

How many people here own any of these mini-rigs?  There were 15 of these produced in the vintage line, and I'll list them below.  What was your take on these?  I heard they were produced because there was a shortage of plastic back then, so Kenner decided it would be less expensive to produce these versus bigger vehicles.  The only one that I have is the Vehicle Maintenance Energizer.

Are there any weather fanatics out there?  Any storm chasers?  I've always been interested in the weather, but I'm definitely no profressional as far as weather-related terminology goes.  I've never been on a storm chase before, but am thinking about giving it a try sometime this year.

What website do you use to check the weather online?  I used to love checking the weather online, but there's so much advertising on all the weather sites that I don't check it that much.  I noticed on Accuweather's site they have a premium service for $40/year that's 100% ad free, and I'm thinking about signing up for it.  Anyone use their premium service by chance?
