The photos are quite old though.

The ROTJ Palitoy Han Hoth (lurking on the floor) is now in my collection (not sure what else has been sold) and he is now collecting Tri Logo MOC as I sold him a Hoth Rebel Soldier late last year  8)

will these new cards fit in a Pro-Tech Star case? There are now 4 different star cases so does anyone know which star case?

Yes, they will fit in a Pro-Tech hinged type case and a regular Star Case. (Only have regular Star Cases for vintage MOC).

I'm going for retail - I have picked up all I want from Wave 1 that way.

If I couldn't get what I was after at retail for the rest then hopefully I would be able to trade for them at a forum before going ebay / etailer.

Very cool idea from USPS.

It would have to be R2-R9 in the UK  :P

That word only has 4 syllables, but I think it deserves far more.

That's been my experience...  Obi starts sitting first, R2 a close second...  I think his interaction with the SBD helps him slightly, but once that novelty wears off with people he definitely starts sitting.

Same in the UK - except that everything has been selling out eventully. Maybe they got the stock levels right or maybe people are buying for the coins but at the mment stuff is selling out.

Vintage Kenner / Re: 77 back logray ?

No worries it is just on a Made in Mexico card. Made in Mexico card stock has the dull back as you describe the bubble may not have the waffle weave either.

You can't see the made in Mexico as you rightly point out that is covered by the sticker on the back.

If you look behind the figure you may be able to see a small hole (they aren't present on every card though) - you might have gently shake the card for the fiugure to move around.

My 77 back Logray with Anakin Offer is exactly the same as this one  8)

Despite all the angles the cards are better than the ROTS cards which had those small "wings" that were prone to damage.

The hanger on the TAC card is the weakest point but then that isn't any different to most lines.

All 6 of the MOC I've picked up off the shelf so far had no damage - and as an opener I look for non mint but couldn't find any.

The bubbles are also sealed with the waffle weave - no tape.

I'd say if you are thinking about it - go for it.

I stopped collecting MOC about 2000 and haven't looked back since.

I kept the VOTC carded for a while but opened them up after a few months.

Obi Wan front and back

If you save the cardback and zoom in you can see the how the card will differ from the US version as there is a large sticker lower centre with all sorts of extra languages mostly distributor info and symbols as required by the European Union / UK  and to the right of the red triangle are 4 printed language warnings top - bottom English, French, German and Italian. The barcode is on the base of the bubble - which on this one is a sticker over the printed barcode on the insert.

Close up of the Super Battle Droid

Note the sticker on the left bubble explaining that it combines with R2.

Close up of R2 on packaged on top of his flames. Also has a sticker on the bubble explaining that it combines with the SBD.

The rest of the photos didn't work too well and it is dark now here in the UK for taking half decent photos.

I've heard nothing of these hitting in Canada yet, and since they're just now showing in Hong Kong it seems, I could see a month before we see them on shelves here in the states.  I sort of hope that's the case because right now I'm completely missing Wave 9.

Wave 9 hasn't shown up in the UK yet, so I'm also hoping that wave 9 make an appearance at retail sometime and that it hasn't been bypassed by the TAC.

I'm uploading some pictures now so I'll post some in a couple of minutes.

Picked up

Obi Wan
R2
Super Battle Droid

in the Wal Mart owned ASDA supermarket in the UK today.

These were the last 3 left on the shelf.

On RS it says this wave is starting to hit in the UK and Canada. Is this true?

Definetly true for the UK.

I picked up Obi Wan, R2 and SBD (all that was left) from the Wal Mart owned ASDA supermarket in the UK this morning.

The cardboard display was about big enough for 16ish figures - so not many being put out.
