I hate FOX.

When Nathan Fillion found out that the show he was auditioning for was going to be on FOX he should have given them the finger, wished them luck on getting more than 2 shows actually broadcast and then walked out.

I'm surprised that any producer can actually get an actor or actress to agree to be on a show for FOX.

One of the gas stations I passed on the way in to work this morning was $3.09, 3.18, 3:30.

I think I need to move back to Pennsylvania.

Actually I think there is going to be an SDCC exclusive Cobra figure.  At least according to what the GI Joe Collector's Club is posting.

Gotcha.  At least that way I could build the 4-man team and end up with the Gate which works fine. Thanks again, Ryan.

Thanks for the info Ryan.  Sounds like it's a decent scale for 3.75" figures then.  Are the parts of the series 1 and series 2 gates interchangeable?  If I pick up some figures I might try to at least get ones that I like as long as they each have a unique piece of the gate.

I have a question on the Gate that comes with the figures in Waves 1 and 2.  Is it the same gate in both sets or are they different?  Meaning, could I pick up the appropriate series 1 and 2 figs and make a gate or do I need all figs from series 1 for it to work?

The other question I had is on the size...from looking at the figures it seems like the gate might work well with 3.75" figures and was wondering if that was the case?

I saw them at the DST booth at WW Philly last year but looked at the figures more than the gate and don't really recall all the details.  And the photos here and on some other sites I looked at didn't really answer those questions for me (unless I missed it).  I'm not really interested in the figures that much but would like the gate if it's something that could be used with GI Joe and SW sized figures for display purposes.

You know, I don't know what I didn't think of Lego.  I had a nearly complete set of Lego sets up till just before the ROTS release but they were all packed away.  I finally broke them out over the last 6 months, made sure they were complete and together, and sold off all the sets I didn't really care for.

I sold over 30 sets between the RS.com forums and eBay.  I'm even debating selling off some more of the sets that I originally thought I'd hold on to but I'm going to think on it some more.

No.

I couldn't get the AICN.com page to load so I read the article on EW (don't know if they are the same) but the comments by Kirsten Dunst about how a Spider-Man 4 movie would fail without her?  I don't think so.  Her part was one of my least favorite in SP 2 and it's yet to be seen how she'll do in the 3rd film.  Without Tobey?  Ahhhh...I don't know.  Maybe, maybe not.

I will admit, though, that I think a SP movie without Raimi would be unwatchable...in the same way a Middle Earth movie would be unwatchable without Peter Jackson.

I've bought parts of lines before with the original intention of picking up the full line and then not doing it.  Quite a few of those figures are probably still in boxes somewhere!

I bought into the old Playmates World of Simpsons line but after a couple of waves I finally sold them all on eBay.  Luckily I did it before the bottom fell out of them and I actually made some money that I put towards C2.

I've bought into other lines that I eventually sold like Marvel Legends, Spawn, and probably a couple I can't think of right now.

I bought most of the Starship Troopers line, I think I'm only missing one figure, and that's all packed away.  I don't have any intention of selling, though, as it's one line I'd like to finish off eventually.

Since even most of my Star Wars collection is stored away it doesn't seem out of the ordinary for the rest of the stuff I own to be packed up as well.   Some day I'll get to have it all out...I hope.

I loved that episode.

Spoiler may apply

When the van with Jack was ambushed and they got Fayed out I literally yelled at the TV "I hate this f'n show!" because they do that ALL the time with the bad guys being one step ahead.   After the truck went around the corner and Jack got up and we found out it was a plant I yelled "I love this show!!"

I'm quite positive my neighbor thinks I'm crazy.  I don't care.

I loved the ending where Jack went all psycho on the terrorists, especially Fayed.  I'm guessing now the last 7 hours or so are going to be Jack going after the Chinese for the last 2 years of torture?  Interesting turn of events.

At least moderators on this board get the job because they can do it, not because they have the most nonsensical posts on a given board.  You know, they way a certain Rebel laden forum might do it.

On topic; As I sit here right now I actually can't tell you much about what happened on Monday's episode except the Pres launched his nuke even after fighting off the VP for his job.

The episode was that boring to me.  However, the season in general has been good even with the weaker episodes.  I still can't figure out the angle on Ricky's character other than I think FOX is setting up a spin-off series.  Unless they pulled the plug on their multi-year contract with Kiefer and they need a replacement for Jack next season.

Like all the seasons so far, I really have no idea what they're going to do next.  There are so many plot twists and threads going on that they can keep you guessing right till the end of the 24th episode.  And that is good TV no matter how boring an episode here or there might be.

On a side note, the only other show that keeps me on the edge of my seat week to week is Prison Break.  As long as 24 can keep doing that I'll be watching.

Good news, boys.  Anna Faris is about to be back on the market.

These may be pet peeves of some other people but I'm not reading 50+ pages to find out.   ;D

Printers.  I hate printers with a passion.  They stop working for no apparent reason, people seem to find a need to be linked to every printer in the office and if you miss one during a reinstall or upgrade they're on your **** the minute they realize it's not there.  I've printed exactly 1 piece of paper at the office this month and I see no need why anyone else needs to print more than that.  I just upgraded a computer here at work and the broad that uses it is hooked to five printers.  Five.  WTF?

I hate eBay bidders that insist on being the top bidder on an item no matter what.  There is no need for a bidding war on a relatively common item on day 2 of a 7 day auction, especially when it's an item that should sell in the $20 range, for example, and it's already up to $15 or $18 with 5 days left.

I also hate it when I list an auction and the first line says "No 0 feedback bidders" and my first bidder has 0 feedback.

On top of that I always list my auctions stating that non-US winners will be quoted a shipping price at the end of the auction and I tell them why; the USPS calculator sucks, there are 3 valid ways to ship outside the country (ground, air parcel post and Global Express) and rather than people complain about high shipping I always charge the exact amount which means boxing the item and getting a quote from the Post Office.

First day of my recent listings I got 3 "how much to ship to XXX" where XXX was UK, Canada and Australia.  The rest of the week I also got Spain, UK, France twice, another Australia and 2 or 3 more from Canada.  NONE of the people that asked ended up winning although most bid.  And that's why it's a waste of my time to estimate shipping during the auction and why I tell them that...but people are ******* idiots.  Last I knew, Canada, UK and Australia all spoke English so they don't have an excuse.  I expect that US bidders will not be able to comprehend a basic sentence but I hold these other countries to higher standards since they like to poo poo the US on our apparent educational shortcomings.  And people wonder why US sellers don't like to ship overseas?
