does anyone have the version of anakin #28 without the black circles around his eyes? if so, are these easily found in stores. is the black paint totally removed or is there just a smaller amount? does anyone have comparison pics of the two?

i found the dooku saber version in a case that included #37-44 at a wal-mart about ten days ago. i'm thinking this is a running change starting with new cases that include these later figs. so if you find figs #37-44 on the pegs i would look for any anakin #2 that is pegged in the same general area.

has anyone compared the loose C3 vader to the vader in the POTJ 25th anniversary obi-wan vader 2-pack. i heard these are pretty much the same figure but wanted to know if you noticed any differences besides the copyright date on the foot? thanks for any info you have.

i copy and pasted my two posts about the anakin #2 variation from another forum below if anyone is curious about more info on this:
you know, i might just have run across one of these yesterday and didn't even realize it (that's if this is really legitimate). i found one fresh case with one each of #33-36, #41-44, and #1-3 & 9. so the #2 anakin is being freshly re-packed in this case. could this be the case where the running change starts? i didn't know about this rumour then so i didn't even give the anakin a glance.
well, curiosity got the best of me after my last post, so i ran up to the wal-mart where i saw this case yesterday. sitting on the shelf between the exploding grievous and red saber palpy i spotted yesterday was indeed the #2 anakin w/ dooku saber variation. so i can 99% confirm that it is a running change with this new case-pack.

i picked up one set of figures #41-44 today at wal-mart. i found one fresh case that included one each of #41-44, one each #33-36 (red saber palpy), and if i recall one each of #1-3 (gaahhh!) and #9. the one thing of interest is that the #41 clone has a dirty / battle damaged type of paint app. i assumed this was going to be clean like the #6 clone because i didn't hear anyone mention otherwise. sorry for the same post in the recent purchases thread but i thought it might be appropriate here also.

just wondering if anyone has tried to attach the extra hand / red saber accesory that comes with the deluxe palpatine onto the palpatine #35 figure. if it fits that might benifit people that bought the blue saber version of palpatine #35 to make it movie accurate. thoughts?

has anybody that bought the target exclusive grievous cup / figure set compared the figure to the regular release wave 1 fig? i have read that the cape and paint app is considerbly different. also heard that the clone does not have the action feature. is this true?

just a heads up if you have any KROGER grocery stores in your area. i
found four untouched cases on pegs in the toy section that included
clone commander, clone pilot, #35 palpatine, and #36 grievous. they
were $5.99 each. a couple other local michigan collectors tipped me
off to start checking there yesterday.

when i found mine at target they actually had SIX on the pegs. i looked for the best paint job of the six and left five on the pegs. i thought they would become fairly common when there were still four left two days later. never saw them again. you just never know what figs will become elusive.

ok, i read on another site that this vader looks to be the one included in the 25th anniverary 2-pack battling obi-wan. now IF this is true does anyone know if the talking voice feature comes from the base or package and if the figure is permanently attched to the base? what i'm getting at is this could be one, for the loose completist collectors like myself, to not have to worry about obtaining.
