I haven't created a league yet
http://basketball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/nba
But I want to soon, hoping to get someone who has done fantasy hoops before to set it up
I would guess:
1 point per point
1 point per assist
1 point per rebound
1 point per steal
1 point per blocked shot
-1 point per turnover
Anyone want to do it...Commish and set up the league, enter teams after we draft etc
I believe we have so far for teams:
OCB
Morgbug
Dressel Rebel
Also, I would think a Rotissiere League where you play against everyone instead of head to head may be the way to go due to the weird schedules in the NBA
-
I'd like to be a team but I havent the foggyest on setting up a leauge and such.
Kevin
Oh! Oh! Maybe I wont SUCK like I do in Fantasy Football. ::)
-
Hey Kev, you are winning at the moment though, unlike me :'(
-
How do these Fantasy Games work? I'm interested in a Basketball one...
-
You want me to set it up then?
-
If you want to be our fearless Commissioner, feel free!
I would say the following:
No head to head schedule
Room for some bench players
6 teams minimum and maybe 10 max
I think so far we have:
OCB
Dressel
Morgbug
Hes No Good to Me Dead
Maybe:
Diddly Squat
Jeff, Matt, Brian? I think all of you said you wanted to play before
-
I'm in if there's still room. I'm always up for some NBA action. I'm not exactly sure how leagues are set up either. I've been in a couple in the past, but never really set one up. The ones that were set up weren't usually set up the best really either anyways :P. I like the ideas Scott has said so far. Head to head probably doesn't work well, because some nights teams are off/on. A little more difficult and time consuming than football, since you have to change your lineups quite a bit. Better have room for bench players. Oh, and I get Kevin Garnett, right? ;) Just kidding. Anyways, I'm in, sounds like fun.
-
Sure, I'd play if you are looking for teams. ;)
-
What do you think?
Auto Pick Draft
10 Teams Max
Rotisserie
-
No Auto Pick
We've been able to draft the teams via the forums here for Baseball and Football with some good success. I think we could do the same here, especially with smaller rosters and probably less teams
Roster size? Say 10-12?
-
Yeah, I think 10-12 would probably be about right too. Plus, if we get everyone on board soon enough, we'll have more than enough time to draft, with the season a month away at this point. The forum draft did seem to work pretty well too I thought, first time I had done it that way. If everyone else would want auto pick that is fine too, it doesn't matter to me. But, like Scott said, the forum draft worked dandy too, especially with a (likely) smaller league like this.
-
So Off-Line Draft then?
What configuration for the roster?
1 PG
1 SG
1 G
1 SF
1 PF
1 F
1 C
2 Utillity
3 Bench
1 IL
That's be 12-13 on the roster depending on the IL player.
-
I'll take out the utilites if you all think that is better.
-
How about a starting 5:
G
G
F
F
C
Utility
Utility
5 Bench Spots
1 IL
-
I like it.
But do you think
PG
SG
PF
SF
C
or
G
G
F
F
C
-
I'm a bit more in favour of the top configuration.
-
Yeah
PG
SG
PF
SF
C
Not sure if Yahoo differentiates the positions like that?
Also I'd put an 82 game limit on each position
-
It differentiated the positions last year, but there were also players who were designated as G so they could play in either PG or SG position. Same with the Forwards.
-
Cool, I guess that was the way Baseball was too, there were C/1B/CF/3B guys...
-
OK. It's been set up.

Looks Good to Me!
Set up my team...
-
Me too, I'm in...thanks for setting it up.
-
I'm in! :) Minnesota Muskies (a nod to the long dead ABA team) will win a JediDefender Fantasy Crown!
And Brian...I'll be taking KG, thanks ;)
-
Simon
How do they score FG%, FT% and 3PT?
I guess how does scoring work in general????
-
The Famine is now in the running.
Kevin
-
Room for one more?
-
Come one, come all up to 10...and we have to save room for Dressel and Brent since they have already commited
That would leave 2 open spots with you taking one Rob
-
The one problem I have with Fantasy Basketball (other sports too, but mainly b-ball), is that I really have difficulties drafting players I don't care for, even if I know they are the best player available. I always want to draft my "favorites", for my own personal dream team. However, that strategy doesn't really work if you want to actually compete/win ;)

Dressel's Rebels on tap.
When do we draft?
-
How did you do the other drafts? How long did it take?
-
A couple of weeks, we did it right here in the thread...pick by pick, person by person.
-
OK. I'm in now too as the 7th team in the league. I think my team name pretty much sums up my expectations for my first ever fantasy basketball league. ;)
-
Let's start the draft from October 15. Any objections? I'll make it a bit later if you think we need more time to get ready. That gives us time to get 3 more teams in and everybody to start planning their draft choices, as well as completing the draft before the opening night tip off.
-
Sounds good to me, any time works for me if the teams are all ready sooner than that too. Thanks again for getting this going, should be fun.

Just so everyone knows, I'm out of town and basically computerless from October 14-19/20th :-[ I can fire picks off to someone if need be. Basketball is a lot more fickle, IMO, than football, so I'm less attached to drafting. If we can get a draft order by then, I can figure out what to do. I'll likely send a list of positions to someone rather than specific players, at least for later rounds.
Sorry for being a pain.
-
Finally got around to registering my team.
-
I'll get another JD member, not involved in the league to make the draft order and publish it here.
Brent, you can mail your draft order to me and I'll look after it for you.
-
Groovy.
I'll get to work on it this weekend and try to keep it as simple as possible. I'll do my best to rank players as thoroughly as possible, but will predominantly draft by position. Hopefully this will go around the same speed as the football draft so I'll only miss about 4-5 rounds, maybe less.
I'll also try to get it to you by about Tuesday night so if you have any questions for me, I'll have a day or so to answer.
-
For the record, I follow basketball very little. Probably because my home town (Tampa/Clearwater) doesn't have basketball (sure there's the Magic but whatever...) I'm much more of a football/hockey guy. I'm hoping this will help get me interested in baseketball this season - but don't count on me to beat up on anyone this time around.
Take pity on me.
-
Groovy.
Grandpa, let ME make your picks for you. :-*

Kevin
Uh. No. I don't want all Knicks. Thanks though :-*
KBZ, dude, you really oughtta try living in Canuckada. You have to follow other teams, cuz the states keeps stealing ours :P
-
I actually don't follow basketball at all...all I know is Kobe. Kobe Kobe Kobe.
Rodman. Rodman.
Jordan.
Kevin
And some don't even play!
-
Looks like we have 10 teams although I don't recognize The jaws aka juanelopezrosario
Who is that?
And when do we draft?
-
"The Jaws" is a buddy of mine. He'll drop in here soon to say hi.
I have a question...
When Yahoo lists Tim Duncan as "FC" position, does that mean he qualifies as "forward" and "center," and is that both small and power forward?
-
I see "FC" means "forward-center" so I think it means that player can play Power Forward, Small Forward, or Center, any of those three?
Does that sound right y'all?
-
FC can play in the C or PF positions. F can ply in the SF or PF positions. G can play in the PG or SG positions.
I'll get one of the JD members to publish a list of the draft order here in the next day or 2, and we can start drafting anytime after that.
Im drafting for Morbug for a couple of days.
-
FC can play in the C or PF positions. F can ply in the SF or PF positions. G can play in the PG or SG positions.
Thanks!
How about "GF"?
Where'd you get that info?
:D
-
Well I have the honor again to pick list of the draft order. All names were on paper & drawn. So here we go:
1: The jaws.
2: Mos Eisley Mynocks.
3: Canuckleheads.
4: Not a Contender.
5: Thug Squad Ballers.
6: Dressel's Rebels.
7: Minnesota Muskies.
8: The Famine.
9: The Zods.
10: Dunkin' Wookiees.
There you have it, have fun! :)
"Let's get ready to rummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmble!"
-
Damn...no KG :'(
-
FC can play in the C or PF positions. F can ply in the SF or PF positions. G can play in the PG or SG positions.
Thanks!

:D
Have a look here.
http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/hoops/hoops-33.html (http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/hoops/hoops-33.html)
GF isn't listed for some reasonb, but I'm pretty sure can play in SG or SF positions. I think that is what it was like last year anyway.
-
Let's start drafting!!!! :)
-
If we start in the next couple of days (prior to Thursday) I can get a pick or two in myself.
Oh yeah, thanks again Dale. Perfect placement once again so as to not arouse suspicion ;)
-
I did it fair & square! :-* :P
-
Tell him to get his ass in here now and lets go! :)
-
Tell him to get his ass in here now and lets go! :)
Settle down! ::)
-
Yeap. Let's Go!
Scott, in the other drafts, did 10th in the draft order get picks 10 and 11? And did 9th in the draft order get picks 9 and 12 etc...?
-
Yup, that's the way the football pool went Simon.
I'm looking at two rounds probably, max.
-
Tell him to get his ass in here now and lets go! :)
Draft commences tomorrow around 6 PM EST.
-

He'll take Jordan...next
-
Tell him to get his ass in here now and lets go! :)
Draft commences tomorrow around 6 PM EST.
Tell him to hang around a lot for the next two days please. If we can do two rounds, we can do three at least to my spot. It would be nice to be able to pick as much of my team as is possible. Less guys should help the draft go quicker so nobody wander away until Thursday. Please. :-\
-
Why not get his pick so we don't have to sit around all day until 6 PM tomorrow?
-
Like kids in a candy store! ;D
-
Hmmm...last pick, looks like no KG for me :-\. That's ok, let's get this draft going, let the fun begin ;)
-
Won't happen until tonight at the earliest. Remember Dressel is at work without a computer all day, so he won't be checking in. We can hope his buddy shows up at some point during the day and makes a pick, then we can cruise until Dressel's pick, but I'm not counting on it. I suspect the friend will show up tonight too.
If we have enough time, I may rethink my choice to have Simon pick. Early picks are likely more critical, so I may end up making everyone wait a week after Wednesday night :-\
-
Morgbug, I got this done for you so you didn't have to delay the draft a week-
The Jaws owner selects with his first round pick:
Kevin Garnett - Timberwolves
The Jaws owner and I work at the same clinic and will both be picking after 6 PM, it shouldn't be bad, it worked for baseball and football.
Carry on with the draft and I'll take my first rounder for the Dressel's Rebels after 6 PM.
-
Thank you sir. BTW, my teeth hurt :-* Tell Jaws he's a bad man (woman?) for that pick.
-
And we're underway...thanks Dressel. I know there wasn't any way KG would last until pick 10 :P, but still sad to see him go. Good pick for Jaws. Anyways, looks like the Mynocks are up next!
-
Who is whom in this list? Some are rather obvious and now that we know who Jaw's is, that's covered. But whom shall I start ragging on now for not picking absolutely immediately :-[ ::) :P
-
Well, I'm #4 on the list and pick right after you. A much improved drafting spot for me as compared to the football draft.
-
Who is whom in this list? Some are rather obvious and now that we know who Jaw's is, that's covered. But whom shall I start ragging on now for not picking absolutely immediately :-[ ::) :P
Me thinks its Simon! ;D :-*
-
Hmmm, ragging on the commissioner AND the guy that might be making my picks may not be the brightest thing I've done. I'll be getting guys like Mitch Kupchak in the third round :o
1: The jaws. - Little shop of horrors guy
2: Mos Eisley Mynocks. - Simon?
3: Canuckleheads. - Brent
4: Not a Contender. - Jim
5: Thug Squad Ballers. - Jeff or is this Diddly?
6: Dressel's Rebels. - Dressel, duh.
7: Minnesota Muskies. - Scott
8: The Famine. - Kevin
9: The Zods. - KBZ, duh.
10: Dunkin' Wookiees. - Brian
-
I think the Thug Squad is Jeff, but I might be wrong.
1. The Jaws - Kevin Garnett, F
2. Mos Eisley Mynocks
3. Canuckleheads
4. Not a Contender
5. Thug Squad Ballers
6. Dressel's Rebels
7. Minnesota Muskies
8. The Famine
9. The Zods
10. Dunking Wookiees
The Mynocks are on the clock.....
-
Yes, the mighty
5. Thug Squad Ballers
is indeed my team.
My squad is named after my intentions for the draft...
Every guy I pick will have "street cred" as well as maybe a stirke or two against him as far as substance abuse goes. Nothing but the crazies and thugzz on my squad and that shouldn't be too hard in the NBA ;)
Jeff
-
I would think the hard thing to do is find a Nice Guys Finish First kind of team. Presumably it is a prerequisite for your team to have an actual police record. :D Iverson your first pick?
-
It would be fun to put together a team of thugs and crazies Jeff...I guess you'll be starting with:
Allen Iverson
Rasheed Wallace
Ron Artest
Current/Former Portland Trailblazers.... ;)
-
Last year in my Basketball draft at work, I named my team "Washington Generals" and filled the roster with goodie two-shoes and white guys like Mark Madsen and such.
Needless to say, I did very poorly :(
Jeff
-
I'm out of here from 5:30 board time until about 7:00 board time, round about. Jim is out tonight for a while, but I have his first pick. I'll do my best to be quick to be online. I'm on the commute during those time periods, so precisely zero chance of me being here between those times.
Let's try and shoot through three rounds tonight if we can :)

team puerto rico is upset by the red sox being down so early, by the way i do have a strategy and you will see it unfold.....
-
interesting seeing kirilenko goign so early?!?! HE will be a big time player but with the new divisions and matchups picking him over SHAQ???
Shaq wasn't even one of the players I was contemplating taking here and I think it's because of the scoring system we are using. Though, I am a rookie when it comes to fantasy basketball, so it remains to be seen if my judgement is off on this one.

Yeah Shaq's a 2nd rounder according to Yahoo's rankings, ranked 12th.
-
the scoring awards for every category, with shaq on the eastern confernece he will definitively score 22+ and keep his 12+ rebounds per game, dont forget with smaller centers he will keep his blocks per game, all stats are comparable to KG except for the assists where KG AVG 5 comparable to some pg

PTS, REB, AST, ST, BLK, FG%, FT%, and 3's are all scored equally; and Shaq only is good in 4 of those 8 categories. Shaq's free throws, 3's, assists, and steals are way lower than Yahoo's top 10 ranked fantasy players, and his PPG will not be much higher. There are at least 10 other players who are good at 5+ categories. That's the reason for Shaq's 2nd round status.
-
So, is Jeff out posting bail for one of his future players, or what?
-
So, is Jeff out posting bail for one of his future players, or what?
Is he taking Iverson?

:D
Dunno, would certainly fit well with his plan. He may want his big thug first.

Agreed. While Shaq might be good in some of those categories, he will kill you in categories like FT% and in Steals. I opted for someone who is a more well rounded guy, who may come pretty close to Shaqs Pts, Rebounds and Blks, but will kill him in the FT% and steal category.

Okay Nataku is online...

Oh no, I disagree. Just as JediMac would. Shaq works really hard on free throws, honest. :P

Sorry, I was having dinner with my lady... ;)
So, um, With the #5 pick, I choose...

-
juan/dressel, how much longer can you guys hang on tonight? Getting kind of late out east. :-\
Juan will be around till 11, Dressel midnight. We both get up at 6 to head to work, but I check again in the morning before I leave.
-
Hmm, ok. That's completely reasonable. Any chance juan will check in the morning (juan?) as he'll have two in a row.
Not trying to be a jerk, just seeing how far we get before the slowdown is my fault :-\
-
Bug, if I send you my pic(s) and we get to that spot and I'm not on, do you think you can toss them out for me?
Kevin
-
Yup, can do. I'll be around for another 2.5 hours or so. As long as we can get Dressel his next pick, we should make it all the way back to juan, who'll likely be tucked in for the night by the time that happens.
-
i will be here for 30 to 40 minutes more but i will try to check in the morning again if you dont get to me by the time i shut down......dam yankees matt..what a game by mussina...8-2 ....still hope?

Well, we're waiting on KBZ. And any idea who Dunking Wookies are?
Bug- when are you going on vacation?

matt ,red sox are back!!!!!!!

Oh God, Yanks pulled Mussina and put in Sturtze, now it's 8-5 Yanks, Sturtze served up the 2 run HR to Varitek. Can somebody please warm up Rivera?
-
matt ,red sox are back!!!!!!!
They'll have to score 3 runs against a Gordon 8th and Rivera 9th.
-
mosnab owns the Wookiee Franchise
-
mosnab/Brian is the last guy in the list. He's deceptive as he doesn't stay logged in all the time. He's out there, you just can't see him.
I'm heading out to the east coast for work from Thursday (early) until Tuesday the following week. Not real long and we can probably wait it out. I just won't likely have computer access. I'll see if I can arrange anything like a laptop, or check around for an internet cafe or the like.
-

Are you just trying to make your 2nd round pick before you leave, or your 3rd round too?
-
Well, since the order reverses at the end of each round, my third pick is only four picks away from my second. So two more would be ideal. If we actually had folks here (all of them) it would go really quick. But we know from experience with the football draft it didn't work out. Best we did was most of two rounds.
-
red aox are back!!!!!! Rivera is coming but it might be to late as the red sox clearly have the momentum advantage......it seems drafting is done????
-
I'll hang out a few minutes longer to see if Zod makes his pick, otherwise I'll be on bright and early tomorrow morning and get my next 2 out of the way so we can keep moving.

KBZ is up...
-
Just looking around, KBZ hasn't been anywhere (Scum, GH, JD) since 3:30pm...
AND, now that I look, I haven't seen him poke in here yet? Has anyone PMed him to let him know it's his pick... at least that way he'll pick tomorrow.
I'm getting sleepy and think I'm headed out for the night.... I'll check back in tomorrow AM.
Jeff
-
Yeah, pretty reasonable for everyone to call it a night. I doubt it will make it back to Dressel for tomorrow morning. The way it goes....
-
How about Yao Ming, C
-
Sorry for holding everyone up, I'll try to not let it happen again.
-
No prob, it happens. Brian is up for two, I suspect first thing in the am, then back to zod.
-
Right on. I'll check at work in the a.m.
-
Okay it's not my turn yet for another 1/2 round, I'll post at 6 PM EST.
Until then....
Go Yanks!!
-
Hey guys, my pick(s), hope that I didn't hold things up at all.
10. Jermaine O'Neal - F
11. Ray Allen - G
-
..........................Zod's Up
-
Is that pick for Zod?
-
Whoops :-[
-
Whooaaaa there boy! Getting a bit excited there are we?
-
I guess so, I have two players I want so if he takes him I'm OK :P
-
Here are people's general posting habits, btw:
Juan - new guy, pretty much only the evening, Dressel drives him too hard.
Simon - morning and then later in the evening due to time zone differences
Brent - no freaking life, lives on the computer
Jim - around most of the time, doesn't say enough :P
Jeff - JD staffer has no life except when it's inconvenient for the rest of us :-*
Dressel (what is your name?) - online early am, might get in around lunch and then good for the evening, staying up later than he should
Scott - quasi-dependable type, too much time spent elsewhere online (pr0n) :P
Kevin - semi-regular appearances, often here during the day and then again around 9 pm, but a little variable
KBZ - usually here in day and again evening, though online less than most of us
Brian - always around, not always logged in, the site's resident cyber stalker ;) (in a nice way)
-
PF, Elton Brand
For the record, I'm online for the entire day on weekdays - I just don't usually have JD open.
-
Damn IT!
-
Isn't it Famines go?
-
That was the other guy...
Ummm, it's still not your pick yet. :-*
-
I think I'm getting senile :-[
-
PF, Elton Brand
For the record, I'm online for the entire day on weekdays - I just don't usually have JD open.
meh, semantics ;) I left my description broad enough that you fit :-*
-
How long are we going to make this draft?
10 rounds with 2 FA pick-ups?
11 rounds with 1 open slot on our bench for a FA?
or a full 12 rounds?
-
I'd say as long as we can
Oh, and Simon
Make sure Undrafted Players are Free Agents instead of having them on Waivers
-
Will do. I'll change it now.
-
I guess it's my pick?
Le Bron James
Kevin
-
3rd Times a Charm :P
Peja Stojakovic - SF
Whew :)
-
Back to Dressel?

We just about had a roll going there, back to Dressel. I'd say we should draft as long as we can, this seems like a good way to do it as long as we can keep things rolling somewhat. The season starts in about two weeks, right? I would think we should be able to get through quite a few rounds in a fair amount of time. Since our league is smaller (than football), it might not take quite as long.
-
We actually have almost 3 Weeks...the first games are Tuesday November 2nd
-
Back to Dressel?
I guess we are done until after 6pm :-\
I'm guessing he's going to poke his head in around lunch time, so don't count him out yet. Check what time he posted Juan's pick yesterday and see if he does the same with his pick today. If so, we should get all the way until Simon gets back online - he doesn't need to sleep.
-
It was at 1:22 board time yesterday. So let's hope he pops on again in the next hour or so.
-
No Dressel.

Zod? Hello?
Still at a debate party?
Watching the ball game?
:(
-
I'm here - was watching the debate.
Pick coming in a second.
-
Ok, well I have to get up in six hours, so I'm out.
I've secured a laptop to use, providing there's a line at the hotel I'm at. It's supposed to be there, so we should be good.
Simon, please do not pick for me, even if I do not log on. Given we have three weeks more or less to get it done, there should be no need. If I am unable to log on, I will be back Tuesday night.
If I am able to log on, tomorrow should be good, but then it's downhill and predominantly later at night I'll be checking in. I am in meetings all day Saturday and Sunday as well and am more than likely to be out drinking on ALL nights - Friday/Sat/Sun. Monday night should be as good as Thursday night.
Again, providing I am around.

KBZ's pick...
-
Michael Finley, SG
-
Nice pick there, I was very tempted to take him as well, KBZ. Seems to be a player that "brings it" night in and night out, and not a "spoiled" type player. Kind of having second thoughts on why I picked Maggette. He's a good player, but I just hates me those Dukies :P.
-
I'm trying. :)
I'm to this what Dressel was to Fantasy Football - I dont' follow it too much so I'm going on the little that I know, and reading a lot online to try to make good choices.
I'll be more or less flying blind as we get to the later rounds.
-
You're not the only one. I follow very little basketball and in fact, have never even heard of 2 of the 3 players I've already drafted. I hope my team is good because they sure aren't familiar. :-\

Dang Canadians. >:(
Probably out tipping a few right now...
Thats Canuckleheads! :P
-
So... I guess Canucklehead either:
A) got too tipsy last night to remember to draft
or
B) didn't have any access to internet like he thought he might
Think he'll make it in here this weekend or are we stalled until next week (Tuesday)?
:-\
Jeff
-
I think Brent mentioned earlier in the thread that he was going to mail Simon his picks incase he can't make it. Not sure, maybe when Simon comes around he can give an answer. :-\
-
He changed his mind on the having Simon pick deal...we can wait until Tuesday IMO if he doesn't show up
-
We're all on hold until Tuesday unless Brent can get access before then.
-
I'll be at the infamous Hooters tonight for my cousins birthday, so I won't be around from 5:30 till who knows, so if Grandpa gets on, my pick will have to wait. Because I'm a celebrity. 8)
Kevin
-
Sorry for the delay lads. I didn't forget, my damn government password didn't work for some stupid reason >:( Oh sure, it will work just fine, just dial in... ******* ::)
Anyway, I'll make a pick, look at the picks and then send someone here my next pick. I'll check in again possibly Saturday, but maybe not until Sunday. I'm paying for this right now so that makes me unhappy, it's one less beer for me :-\
Oh, and yes, due to the unfortunate events of not being able to log in, I did indeed tip a few ;D
Jamaal Magloire, C

The bug is back! 8)
-
Jim has enough names to get my next pick in, so you guys are good for a bit. Again, sorry for the delay and making you guys sit around last night.

UPDATED. Waiting on the Bug's 6th rounder...
-
Is Lamar Odom a PF or an SF? I only ask because when I was reading about him they called him a PF, so I took him and planned on taking a small forward with my next pick. If Odom can be started as that, it changes my next pick.

I believe he's listed as "F" which means he can qualify at PF or SF.

With ben gordon and lou deng kirk hinrich wont have to force his shots so much, and if curry and chandler finllay decide to start playing like professional basketball players the bulls could become a disruptive force in east...it all translates for bette numbers for hinrich who coul have been rookie of the year if he was not in the same rookie class as melo and king james
-
finally some action good pick with hinrich
Yeah if you like a .390 FG %.
No, I like his 6th ranking in assists, as well as ranking in the top 32 in 3 pters and steals. FG % is but one of 9 stat categories being tracked. And, this is a 6th round pick. Not exactly all-star caliber players left to draft here.

Gordon and Deng? The 2 of them combined haven't played a day in the NBA. Let's see if the two of them ever sink a shot. That said, the Bulls are junk. Their best scorer is Eddy Curry and that's if he can get his weight under 320 pounds for a change. Hinrich is good, but he's in the cellar of the league in FG% and he can really put you in the toilet in that category. On top of that, he does not score a whole lot of PPG, and he's junk in blocks. So it's not like he's just bad at one category, also 200+ TO. Even so, as a 6th rounder he's not all that bad, I get it.
-
Well, I'm making the sacrafice of FG% for a guy who could very well finish in the top 5 in assists this year. And expect he'll improve on his rookie year FG%, seeing how he shot over 47% in his senior yr in college the year before.

I'll trade you my 7th round draft pick for him straight up. One player, one draft pick...no regrets.
-
Sorry, but I'm gonna have to pass on that one. ;)
-
Are we on hold currently?
-
Yep, Brent did mention that he should be able to get back on line sometime this afternoon. Just have to wait & see. :-\
-
Si, waiting for Herr Bug
-
Cuttino Mobley - no idea what position, cool name.
Don't hold your breath on my next pick, it can wait until tomorrow night. I can't get access in the evening and Juan is doubtful to be on between now and then.
Tune in tomorrow... :-*
-
mobley is a shooting a guard and the perfect complement to the agressive francis..... matt remeber its not all about stats in the nba the play of your teammates will afect the individual performance....mcgrady used to play a complentary role when he was in toronto with carter...everybody felt that he was a terrific role player but once he switched to orlando he became a superstar a few people expected him to become the player he is...this year he will make yao play better and his fg% will go up along with his assists....go red sox!!!!!

Jeff will not be around for a few days due to his grandpa passing away. He has sent me his picks so we can keep going which he really didn't need to do...my sympathies again Jeff
And so, he takes
Jason Kidd - PG

Sorry...changing my pick
-
Famine is UP :D
-
Deepest sympathies to Jeff, and God bless you and your family throughout this time. Take care.
Everyone's picking the guys I had up next on my list ;). Oh well, still quite a few good ones left. Quick question, are we done with the draft at the end of round 7, then entering the free agent free for all...or are we drafting further than that? Doesn't matter to me, just curious.
-
Yes Jeff. Sorry to hear about your loss.
I think we have to go the full 12 rounds as I can't just enter 7 names on the rosters.
-
Simon...in Football you could just enter as many players as we had drafted and hit Begin Season and everything else was Free Agency.
I think we should keep going as long as we can, still have 2 weeks
-
Sounds good to me too, we've been making decent progress throughout this draft I think. We can keep it rolling for awhie longer.
-
I reckon we'll get it done.
-
Famine! You just posted in the Fantasy Football thread - you'd best be getting over here next!
-
Yeah yeah I got it. Sheesh, next you'll be sending me PM's telling me I'm up.

Yeah me too. If he comes good this year, he'll be a good fantasy player. If he's to well at the start of the season, you'll be able to but on the injured list and get another player for a few weeks.
-
I was a little suprised that he lasted this long too.
Lucky me I suppose. :)

Kevin, did you mean
Antonio Davis (Chi - FC) or Dale Davis (GS - C) maybe?

I was wondering about the Davis pick as well. Not aware of a center named Ricky Davis.
Brian, you'd make a really good stalker Nope, not here, then *poof* picks made and he's gone.
:D Yeah, I wasn't logged in and just thought I'd stop in to see if it was my turn or not...and saw that it was, so logged in quick and made a couple of picks so I didn't hold things up at all. I wasn't able to stick around and stay online though.
-
I've thought about Houston for like 3 rounds now so to get him now is good value
Also, agree on that. I've been thinking about Houston for a bit as well, and if he stays healthy, he should be a very nice pick up this late in the draft. He gets a lot of flak because of his big contract, but he can still score pretty well.

Chuckles on the clock...
-
I don't see him picked yet so....
Troy Murphy - PF
-
Last pick....
Caron Butler, F
-
So when does free agency start?
Also, could someone remind me of how many bench slots we have to sign FA's?
-
We shouldn't have any FA bench spots since we made it through 12 rounds
Simon should set a time for when the league goes active so everyone has a fair chance at the FA's
-
Dwight Howard - (PF, Orl)
I can't believe the No.1 Draft pick lasted right to the end.
Free agency starts as soon as I publish the teams on October 28. There are 7 scoring positions and 5 bench position; a total of 12 all but The Jaws have chosen.
-
Actually I think it's easier if I publish all of the teams ASAP and then I'll lock all managers until October 29. This means that noboby will be able to make any changes until that date. Is this cool?
-
Sounds good to me, Simon!
Jeff

Ah, okay. Didn't realize the roster was 12.
-
Dwight Howard - (PF, Orl)
I can't believe the No.1 Draft pick lasted right to the end.
I looked at him a number of times and always had him on the list. Tough call, but I didn't pick him based on the preseason results he had. I felt there were enough other guys that have more league experience. Maybe not as much talent, but good otherwise.

is it my turn!!!!! dam they took chandler and troy murphy it sucks picking #1 in the draft

Yep, you're up!
-
Whoops.
My bad, again.
-
Just waiting for the the Jaws last pick so I can publish this baby.

the jaws select....ANDRES NOCIONI FORWARD FOR THE CHICAGO BULLS

Cool! I'll try and get it done today sometime. All Managers have trades and roster changes lock until October 30. Let the fun begin.

Yeah getting stuck with Kevin Garnett is a real hardship to overcome.

Guys, casn you all check the draft resuts to make sure I got them all right.
http://basketball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/nba/43035/draftresults (http://basketball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/nba/43035/draftresults)
After that I'll switch the light to green, but you still won't be able to make roster changes for a few days.

I checked it out and signed in; my roster is empty still and I don't see any link for draft results. Help?
-
The link with the teams listed shows my team accurately, but when I click on "my team" there's nothing there.
-
I cant see my team either....
-
Gotta wait until he makes the league go live...
Just looking over the teams I really like The Jaws squad, solid draft, nice work
-
The league is now live. All players appear from October 30. Managers are locked until tomorrow.

Okay my team still says empty in all slots. I'll check tomorrow the 30th.

Click on the October 30th link on the team page. You'll be able to change the team around there.

I have tried to submit lineups for all dates up to and including November 3rd, and this is the result:
There was a problem:
• You are locked from this action. (Error #154)
Something is still locking us out from making lineup changes.
-
Yeah it's still locked until tomorrow. Are all the teams cool?
-
It's all go.
-
So does this work like football where we need to set rosters every day and if a player isn't playing on a given day we're without that player for that day? Or is it somehow different. I read the scoring rules posted earlier in this thread but I'm still fuzzy on how the best way to go about setting my day-to-day roster is.
-
You only get 82 games per position for each of the 7 active roster spots
So you can change your roster daily but you can also probably just keep your main 7 active and substitute based on injuries and on hot/cold playing
-
Okay - so if I have a roster set for today, does it automatically roll over to the next day/game or does it need to be set up for every day?
-
I would guess its the same as Baseball, once you set a lineup its that way until you change it
-
Ok, stupid question time:
I set my lineup, it's all good. But I am a little baffled. When I was drafting, I had on my list two point guards. Now when I check the list of mine, I have only one, Billups with Detroit. Presumably I can (and here's the question, or cannot?) put in a guy listed as guard at the PG position??? Or no, I cannot do that, only can sub in a guy that yahoo specifically calls a point guard? I picked up Quentin Richardson thinking another possible PG, but I think I screwed that up, not that I'm about to dump Richardson.
That aside, I like the looks of my team. The preseason, for what it's worth left me pretty pleased. Bryant, Marion, Stoudemire, Magloire, Mobley, Richardson and Gooden all had excellent preseason stats.
Really dumb question. Is the weighting more towards points and rebounds or other stats like percentages? I'll go back in the thread and look, but could use a little help too.
Having a very hard time benching one of Mobley, Richardson or Gooden ???
-
What the duce?!
There was a problem:
• That position has already been filled. (Error #159)
• That position has already been filled. (Error #159)
• That position has already been filled. (Error #159)
• That position has already been filled. (Error #159)
• You have an internal roster error. (Error #290)
I'm once again confused.

A special thanks to Dressle, and NONE OF YOU, for helping me fix my dilema. 8)
Kevin
-
Not too bad so far... hanging in the meaty middle of the pack.
Gah, my shooting % are terrible! Both on the floor and the line, definately my weekness so far.
Jeff
-
I'm doing bad. I still don't quite understand how the scoring works or who I should be playing at what time...
-
How am I doing?
I'm afraid to mess with anything.
Kevin
-
Man I have three potential busts on my team with Dalembert, Christie and Jason Terry doing jack crap so far. The rest of my team is doing fine but finding those two bench guys has been a challenge for me :-\
-
You want to talk about a crappy team?
I'm in way over my head here. I should have just stuck to football.
I still don't quite understand the scoring and I still don't quite understand who on my team should be playing and whether or not I need to strategically bench and play certain people at certain times etc...
-
Each team is ranked for cumulative stats accrued through the season from 1 to 10. If you have the most rebounds, say, you get a 10, the next person with the 2nd most rebounds gets a 9. You want to try and get as many 10's and 9's and 8's as possible
Benching guys who are sucking and plugging in hot guys is the key...as is trying to guess matchups (which may be a little advanced) You also have to look and see if you can make up ground in catagories by inserting players with that ability (such as a rebounding forward if you are short on rebounds etc)
I wouldn't change my line-up every day though since there is an 82 game limit per starting position
-
I haven't the foggyest of how I'm doing. Everytime I try and check the page, I get an error.
Any ideas? :-\
Kevin
-
Are you still getting errors Kevin?
-
I try not to touch it. Dressle helps me out from time to time with it.
I hate it.
Kevin
-
:'(
Another week and still in last place.
I gotta do something to light a fire under my boys...
-
Well, thanks to Friday night's activities, I'll be without the services of Jermaine O'Neal for about a third of the season :). Oh well, glad I picked up K-Mart at the PF position as well. And, it could be worse, I could have drafted Ron Artest (sorry jaws, I believe). None of us could have imagined this was going to happen though. Certainly an interesting year, Pacers could have a tough time here for awhile.
-
Count me in as one of those who is greatly affected by the suspension. Stephen Jackson is on my team. Dumb bastage. >:(
-
I'm loving my team, glad to have picked up Juwan Howard too who's having a nice year so far with the Mavs. :)
-
My suspension came and went before I even saw the video: Chauncy Billups.
Not sure what's going on with my team right now, as a group they're kind of dogging it :-\
-
To the top! I was a little leery of trading Dirk for Duncan but I think its helped both Simon and my teams out. I like how this is set up, perhaps we'll do the same for baseball this year
-
Looks like I should have stuck to football.
I still don't even really understand how to manage my team to make sure I'm maximizing each guy's playing time and getting the most out of everyone...
-
To the top!
:-X
-
Uh, dumb question, but what rank is more relevant? O-rank or the preceding week's rank?
-
Ok, thanks. I've had a few guys that are sort of dogging it and made a couple of moves, but wasn't sure how good those moves were. Essentially they all matter, but O-rank is overall for the most part.
My team is like our weather, a yo-yo.
-
Well, I've made some line-up changes this week and am now thrilled to see that I've moved up into a slim lead for 8th place.
If by some miracle my team can finish 6th or better, I'll consider this effort a resounding sucess.
-
O-Rank is a Yahoo arbitrary ranking based on this year and prior years stats
Rank is actual rank and I usually look a Season Rank as a factor in who I bench and pick up with little regard to O-Rank
-
It appears that I got my facts a little backwards there. Listen to Scott.
-
Hard to stay attentive to this league, given the number of games. Hadn't checked in of late to see what was up, so apologies to those that proposed trades if I took a long time in responding.
But since I looked and I'm at #1 right now, I thought it best to bump it up before I drop out of that position. My players are performing quite well at the moment:
PG C. Billups (Det - PG) 24
SG K. Bryant (LAL - SG) 10
SF S. Marion (Pho - F,SF) 1
PF A. Stoudemire (Pho - FC,PF) 16
C P. Brown (NO - FC,PF) 46
Util Q. Richardson (Pho - GF,SG) 6
Util D. Gooden (Cle - F,PF) 33
those are my current season ranks after the players, my entire starting rotation in the top 50 (for the moment). My biggest disappointment right now is Cuttino Mobley. Most pleasant surprise is Phoenix.
-
;)
-
Just noticed that I'm near the bottom in terms of number of games played. Is that just because of the way the shchedule is working out? Or am I doing something wrong? I haven't been changing my roster up - should I be trying to get lots of guys to play each night or if I just leave my best 7 guys in will I, in the end, get the same number of games played as everyone else?
Went to my first basketball game last night - Mavs/Wizards - pretty fun, got to watch from a luxury box and see two guys on my team have a big night.
Fun stuff.
-
Perhaps your guys have been hurt this year, that would mean you could substitute some players a few nights in a row to try and catch up
There is a link on your team page called:
Maximum Games Played (it's down near the bottom)
It should tell you what your pace is over an 82 game season and whether you could do some substitutions
-
Didn't know that utility was there - that helps a lot.
Thanks!
-
Waivers suck.
-
So if you have a player who's supposed to play one night, but he gets the flu and ends up being a last minute decision to sit out - do you still get charged a Game Played if you don't know that he's going to end up sitting and you leave him on the roster for that night?
-

No, you don't get charged a game played until the player spends 1 second of official time on the court.
-
It sure does seam like a lot of good top 5 round players are or were injured or suspended at some point this season. Baron Davis, Ron Artest, Jermaine O'Neal, Andrei Kirilenko, Richard Jefferson, Jamal Crawford, LeBron James, Chris Webber, Jason Kidd, Larry Hughes, Al Harrington, Vince Carter, Ben Wallace, Pau Gasol, Peja Stojakovic, Kobe Bryant.
And now Zach Randolph is out again, and Kevin Garnett looks like he's playing on a bum left knee and could go down at any time.
-
No, you don't get charged a game played until the player spends 1 second of official time on the court.
Good to know.
Now I'm gonna push my way into the top 5!
-
I just picked up Joel Przybilla...here's my story
A guy in my real world Fantasy Football league played high school hoops for our hometown. Joel played high school ball two towns over and in their senior year they met up. My buddy held Joel to 4 points that night and stuffed him. We give him **** all of the time about how he should be in the NBA if he's doing that to Prizz
He's on a tear though, and I need rebounding and shot blocking bad bad bad...hopefully Peja comes back soon and I can start gaining some ground back
-
Need Rebounds?
...trade propsed.
-
I wish I understood how this worked in the first place :-[ ::) I kinda have a grasp on it, but can't quite figure out why Dressel's total never varies much. Actually since about a month into the season, there's been very little movement at all.
-

Remind you of any other fantasy sport OCB?
-
Presumably baseball was like that? Would that mean there's a problem with the scoring or is it just you gloating :P
-

Clearly it's a glitch :-X
-
Really? I've just been a bit baffled. I looked at your players and then looked at mine, since for most of the season I've been fairly close. Not that I did a great job drafting, just that I ended up taking a pile of Phoenix guys that have played really well so my team ended up pretty good. I couldn't figure out why I was still number two when I had seven guys in the top 50 (this years weekly/monthly rank) when you didn't. Honestly, I don't understand the scoring system and maybe I'm really deficient in an area that keeps me down.
-
I think Brent you're behind because Dressel has a bunch more games in than you do (almost 20) Looks like your Utility spots are down a few games so you could make up some ground there
-
Yeah, I'm down about 13 or so there. Is that all it takes? Like I said, I'm there, I know what I have, but I haven't figured it all out yet.
-
If this trade is allowed...I quit...seriously

I don't see the problem. I'm very far into the hole and those players are of less use to me than they would be in the right hands. No one ever offered, that I know of, for them. I really don't see the problem. :-\
Kevin
-
I really don't see the problem. :-\
Kevin
The first part of your post is the problem.
You can't just give-up and dump all your good players to the best team in the league! While maybe it's not cheating directly, it's a close as you can get and it's a pretty crappy thing to do to the guys in 2,3,4 places. Pretty crappy of you and Dressel to even try it IMHO.
If this is the way it's going to be, where the crappiest team scuttles itself for the good of one of the best teams, then Simon or Brent or Scott you can have Nash, Francis, Camby, and who ever else you want from my squad...
Jeff
-
I've tried trading for Iverson for the last two months ::)
-
I think there might be a problem with Yahoo first. It occasionaly works for me. If you remember I was having problems with Yahoo with Football. With Basketball, I think I recall actually getting a trade proposal from MYSELF, or somthing odd like that, because it stuck in my mind. We shall see how it works out.

Hmmmmm....
When I tried to make a similar trade for Alge Crumpler for Keyshawn Johnson late in the season I was immediately branded a cheater by none other than Dressel himself.
I say no to any trades like that.
-
I am going to say 3 things on this topic:
1. Scott - Famine told me that earlier this season you offered Richard Hamilton and Jason Terry for Allen Iverson. I suppose if that was accepted, that would have been fine with you? So just stop it.
2. The Jaws just scored Jermaine O'Neal, Ray Allen and Emeka Okafor in an extremely lopsided deal from Dunking Wookies who is also out of the running.
3. And hey, I offer up a deal, if it gets accepted, so be it.
Even with my deal, after that BLOWOUT Jaws just scored, even though he's 7 points back of me, he is going to BEAT me. I had to try.
-
Didn't The JAWS just secure Ray Allen, Jermaine O'Neal, and Emeka Okafor in a pretty lopsided trade? For Garnett, Kurry, and Jamison, right? That's a little slanted, but no one is on that. I don't know. :P
Kevin
EDIT:
Dressle beat me to it. :-[
-
Absolutely, JAWS gains 8 categories, rebounds, blocks, 3's in a HUGE way, and loses only in assists slightly. Because of that lopsided deal, all 9 of us may as well quit right now. At least I'm trying to salvage my season.
-
Just a couple more thoughts here...
First off, I like playing fantasy too much with you guys to argue about this, so I'm not going to. But 2 more obvious points here. Zod - HoloElvis was upset about an official scorer's decision that cost him a game and started spewing his stars all over the league. This is hardly the same thing. Scott - I don't understand how you can say "you're quitting" when you attempted to get Iverson for practically nothing, and would have been just fine, not to mention silent, about that had Famine accepted that one rather than mine.
This is way too silly a thing for me to argue about. I've said my share.
-

::)
Nothing like being a bit dramatic, eh?
The Jaws trade (which ISN'T finalized yet and can still be vetoed):
Jaws (Players to Trade)
K. Garnett (Min - F) season rank 2
A. Jamison (Was - F) season rank 41
E. Curry (Chi - C) season rank 185
Dunking Wookiees (Players to Trade)
R. Allen (Sea - SG) season rank 15
J. O'Neal (Ind - PF) season rank 78
E. Okafor (Cha - FC) season rank 85
Average of Jaws 3 players traded: 76
Average of Wookiees 3 players traded: 59
Brian is getting KG, season rank #2 (and the best player included in the trade), so I'd expect a bit of lopside towards jaws for that reason...
Now let's look at your trade...
Dressel's Rebels (Players to Trade)
A. Miller (Den - PG) season rank 71
C. Atkins (LAL - PG) season rank 59
W. Szczerbiak (Min - SF) season rank 102
The Famine (Players to Trade)
A. Iverson (Phi - G,PG,SG) season rank 18
A. Walker (Bos - F) season rank 37
Average of Dressel 3 players traded: 83
Average of Famine 2 players traded: 28
With numbers as lop-sided as this, I'd expect Famine to be getting the #1 rated player at LEAST. Since I don't see Famine getting any kind of KG quality player, I have to assume it's a crappy trade.
Let's be real here... Give me a break ::)
Jeff
-
Garnett #2
Jamison #41
Allen #15
O'Neal #78
I know Allen and O'Neal have been out, but look at last months ranks and that's still even (Okafor and Curry count for ****) I think that's a fair deal
-
Well I'm scraping and clawing my way up from 9th, and while I know I've got little to no chance of winning the league, I find it hard to accept that this is one of the explanations:
3. And hey, I offer up a deal, if it gets accepted, so be it.
That was no where near good enough for you when I was leading in the Football league and tried to upgrade my TE position (I was called a cheater), but it's okay now?
Nothing changes the fact that you're trading a bunch of bench players for the 2nd highest scorer in the league.
-
Garnett #2
Jamison #41
Allen #15
O'Neal #78
I know Allen and O'Neal have been out, but look at last months ranks and that's still even (Okafor and Curry count for ****) I think that's a fair deal
Fair like Iverson for Hamilton/Terry?
Okafor is a blocks and rebounds TERROR. Curry is...Curry is nothing.
And you cannot even compare Allen and O'Neal to Garnett and Jamison, that part too is hand's down Allen and O'Neal.
Bah, you're making me talk about this. Gotta leave this thread.
:P
-
Who's the commisioner? Dressel?
BTW, I tried to vote against the trade and all it told me was that 'registration is over' after I clicked the button... so I have no idea if the vote worked...
-
I'll tell you what, I voluntarily withdraw the trade.
But I leave you with this Scott, who still hasn't responded, it was just fine and dandy when you tried Iverson for Hamilton/Terry, right?
Whoever the commish is can delete the trade.
-
Terry is ranked #42 right now, how does he suck? And Hamilton was my starting SG for the first two months of the season which is when I offered the deal
-

If you're going to talk about Jason Terry, then go ahead and talk about Andre Miller that I traded him, who's WAY better.
I'm gonna be the better person here and let the commish withdraw that particular deal.
But give me a break Scott, don't insult my intelligence.
-
How in the hell do you get Miller that much better than Terry?
Terry has him in FG, FT, 3Pointers, and Turnovers and they are almost even in Steals and Blocks...plus he's ranked ahead of Miller. Please ::)
And, it was in November, not today. I've offered him Peja and Terry just last week and got shot down. You admit you're taking advantage of the situation so that's good enough for me
-

I'll tell you what I'm gonna do Scott, I'm gonna continue to whip your ass in every fantasy sport: Football, Baseball, Basketball. And end the discussion here. You're second fiddle to me anyhow, I'd probably be pissed if I were you too :-*
Again, whoever the NBA commish is, I want the Iverson deal deleted please, to bury this hatchet. It's not worth all the muss and fuss.
Hey, it was fun to get everyone all passionate about fantasy sports though.
Okay back to baseball.
-
To me its a sign you're scared that you aren't going to win this one :P I'd like my chances if Peja was healthy, his injury is killing me
-
I thought I had Crumpler all season ??? Oops, never mind, I want no real part of this.
-
To me its a sign you're scared that you aren't going to win this one
You saw me admit that I'm going to lose, right? It's more than a sign, it's a flat out admission.
Anyhow, too much fantasy love. Back to baseball.
:D
-
I'm sorry if the trade I have going with Jaws is causing any troubles, and if people have problems with it, feel free to veto. We had tried to work out a couple of different offers, and ended up going with this one. I am honestly not trying to be lopsided in any way. I probably don't know all the fantasy ins and outs as well as the rest of you, but from a pure basketball standpoint, I didn't think that it was too bad of a deal. Much of the attraction for me was being able to get my favorite player on my team (KG), but Jamison sweetened the deal as well. I was unsure about the Okafor-Curry part, but thought I could make it work to get the other two. I had other players I could plug in at the SG and F/Util positions, so it worked out for me. Again, I honestly wasn't trying to do anything sneaky and felt it was a good trade for me personally, but if anyone has problems with it, feel free to veto. This is supposed to be for fun, and I certainly don't want to upset anyone.

To be fair to Jaws, he offered up KG to me as well. I didn't want to give up what he wanted so I declined.
-
KG was also offered to me and I passed.
-
I too was offered KG :P
-
Maybe I was the only sucker then :P.
Like I said, I thought it was a fair enough trade, but maybe the fact that I'm somewhat out of it and obviously needed a team shake up...and the fact that it was KG...influenced my decision somewhat. If anyone (or everyone) thinks it is shady or lopsided, I have no problem with it being vetoed. I definitely don't want to cause any problems or animosity.

I thought it was fair

Doesn't bother me. I just want someone to offer me a couple of really good players for my dregs. I'm not overly hopeful though :P
-
Sorry this is a bad trade too.
A. Miller
T. Prince
for
A. Iverson
Actually I tried to veto all the trades that Dressel and Famine made in the past. To me it seems that Famine doesn't care about his team and is dumping all his good played off to Dressel, which has stacked his team with All-Stars and and assured him of a win. This is unfair.

NO, actually thats very decent. Thats a trade of players doing somthing halfway decent. Now I have to scramble and scrape with what I have to get up to number 9. There's a madness behind my reason.

I voted against this one too, sorry

I'll keep that in mind.

Man... My team was playing fantastically for a period of a few weeks... I climbed up from 9th to 5th at one point and was hoping to make a push into fourth...
Then all the sudden Stackhouse comes back and Finley sucks again....
The Trailblazers change coaches and Stoudamire sees his minutes drop - and all the sudden he can't make a shot...
Kobe comes back and Odom's points drop....
Blah.

Looks like there is someone new in 1st Place :-*

For some reason I cannot get access to my team. Did the commish lock me from my team, or what?

I think you had a link to Rebelscum in your signature or something, so Scott banned you from the league. Sorry Kev. You should know better, dumbass. :P

Three days left, again it looks like I'm always a bridesmaid, never a bride. I only hope I can finish ahead of Dressel :)

There's a first time for everything! And no, not you confessing to wearing a bridesmaid gown, this we already knew. I meant you finishing ahead of me in a fantasy league :)

Congrats to Brent on being the 2004-2005 JD Fantasy Basketball Champion. Riding his trio of Suns to domination, he came on strong the last month here to take the whole thing
It was a fun year and I look forward to beating Dressel again next year!

Congrats Brent!
Scott - Congrats on the big achievement. No, not managing to get creamed by me in fantasy football when I watched my first entire football game of my life last fall. And no, not bowing to the defending champion (your's truly) of fantasy baseball. Congrats on finishing 5/10th of a point higher than me in the standings in fantasy basketball! I guess when you never win these things, it must be quite an achievement for you. We're very proud.
