The Vintage Collection / Re: The Future of Star Wars Collecting?
« on: April 30, 2013, 11:18 AM »
when will "new" product start hitting the shelves? By "new" I mean black series wave 1 or a new exclusive or something.  I am at a loss for the timeline of releases for upcoming Star Wars product.

Star Wars Universe / Re: Are you ready for yearly Star Wars films?
« on: April 23, 2013, 08:37 PM »
what exactly is a standalone film?

i was figuring it is basically a movie following one of the characters we know (rumoured Han or Boba or Yoda) and putting them into an all new storyline, completely unrelated to anything in prior films or the future trilogy. Also having an all new cast of new supporting characters.

I honestly liked the first one better.  The direction in this one was was horrible as was the editing.  The plot was a mess.  The action sequences were all too close up so you really couldn't see what was going on.  Character development was terrible.  Firefly seemed a little light in his loafers (perhaps this was Stevenson's porr attempt at a Southern accent).  Zartan never got to be Zartan - and then he died.  Oh yeah Zartan died (reemphasizing cuz that sucks real bad), and Zandar, and Firefly....

insert other things...

there was just a lot going on that I didn't like.

thanks for the heads up!!!

Thranduil and Beorn are news to me!  At first I only saw Thranduil was in the Myrkwood pack and I was pissed - but then saw he is available as a single - awesome!

I am definitely down for these:
-Thorin Oakenshield Adventure Pack: Nori, Ori, Dori, Gloin and Thorin
- Bilbo Baggins Burglar Pack: Bifur, Bombur, Bofur, Oin and Exclusive 3.75" Invisible Bilbo

and these as individuals:  Radagast, Thranduil, Azog, Beorn

cant wait to see what else is coming - yes I am expecting more!  One thing they left off the list - Azog and the White Warg

Dollar store orange Storm Shadow on Ebay via China:  http://www.ebay.com/itm/271190218733?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

I hate walking into the dollar stores in my area and wasted so much gas looking for the last round of figures so I just bit on this.  You can make an offer to get the figure at a lower cost - you get three attempts for it to accept your best offer.

I tried $8 - declined
$9 - declined
$10 - accepted.

So either the sweet spot is $10 or it is between $9-$10 in case any of you want to bite and try and get it for the lowest price possible.   ;) :P

Collector's Tips / Re: Wall Paint in your collecting room.
« on: April 15, 2013, 08:22 PM »
I have four shelves that are 96.5 inches long and 16 inches deep - these are the "short shelves".  The other 4 shelves, aka the "long shelves," are 157 inches long by 16 inches deep.

and yeah, I thought I had plenty of room.....

and then my Indiana Jones collection took up nearly 3/4 of one of my "short" shelves - and I kinda crammed stuff in!

vehicles take up a lot more space than one might think...
