MR has confirmed (about half way down this thread) that they are re-releasing the ROTJ Luke F/X w/ the updated technology, but it is going to be extremely limited.  It will only be available through retailers.

Very cool news indeed.  I have the original so that will do for me but I'd follow the RS thread or email Jeff directly about ordering one if he's able to get them.

I thought it was rather odd to come with two bookmarks but hey....if that's how to get around the "no we won't be re-releasing it directly" quote MR has been throwing around then that's cool for those that want it!!

Rumors on the Luke ROTJ F/X are flying over at 'Scum.  Looks like Borders may be the retailer that gets it here in the states.  More news to come.

Amy confirmed it was Borders.  The closest one to me would be an 8 hour round trip!!

I'd get it if it was the "power-up" version and easily available but since that looks like it's not the case, I guess I'll have to pass.  (Unless, JD is able to pull off a miracle!! ).

No Borders near here at all.   I'm still not clear what books have to do with selling lightsabers (I guess if you throw in two bookmarks that makes it a good store of choice) but at least they are re-doing them.  I feel bad for those that forked over $500.00 plus for the old version.
