Inflation made the price go up $20 since they announced this? That seems believable. 

I am a sucker though, so I will probably still do it.

I think I'm going to take a wait and see approach on this one.  $80 seems fairly steep.

I'm also not super excited about the choices.  If they had a Jedi option I'd probably be more interested.  I'd probably end up going with the X-Wing pilot based on the four options available.

Personally I'd be more interested in a 3.75" scale, but I get it that all the other toy lines are 6" so they're keeping it consistent.

Yeah, at $60 I'd probably do it even though I've pretty much stopped collecting 6" figures, but at $80, I'm hesitant.

And like you said, Dave, where's the Jedi option?  That Star Wars!  But I heard that Hasbro will eventually add choices in the future, so hopefully Jedi will be one of them.

Yeah, that's a bold choice for sure.  Hard to justify that right off the bat...

Jedi don't wear gloves or dickies... 

All four Star Wars choices have zero exposed skin other than the head.  Saves the problem of having to match skin-tone on the head/hands/neck if all your choices are wearing gloves and some type of collar/shirt around the neck.

I didn't consider that, and I think you're on to something, Jeff.  Here are the options:

The choices include Stormtrooper, X-Wing pilot, [Hoth] Leia, Mandalorian, Black Panther, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Black Widow, Red Power Ranger, Pink Power Ranger, Snake Eyes, Scarlett, and a male or female Ghostbuster.

All of those figures wear gloves, dickies, or has their neck concealed.

It would have been fun to get my youngest nieces and nephews made out as padawans, but:

- jedi aren't offered (likely, as mentioned above, other exposed skin not matching the color of the face)
- the extra $20 per is a kick in the 'nads
- I recall when this was introduced a few months back that 16 was the minimum age

I tried it.  The thing barely looked like me at all. 

When I was checking it out the price was listed as $59.99.  But in light of how it looked I'm not going to do it.

I tried it as well, but didn’t really see the likeness either. I think the $60 price is just for the weekend, then it jumps to $80? It would be kind of fun if it looked reasonably close, but it will probably be a case by case thing.

Every time I tried doing a Selfie Series scan I was left wondering "Who does this actually look like?"  Because I didn't get the sense that the shape of the head was anything like mine.  So I never ordered one of these.
