My newest custom is on the way. I've said this before, but I'll go ahead and say it again...some of you guys and gals may have seen my custom gunship and snowspeeder over at RS. If you haven't and want to, you can run a search over there under custom gunship and snowspeeder. I go by the same name over there.
Now, I've got a new one in the works. Hopefully I'll get it together before the end of summer and I've got to start teaching again.

Click on the above link and you'll get 5 pictures so far. Click on each picture and you'll be able to get a description of what I've done so far and will be doing later.

Are you building one of those junker ships made from scrap like in the X-Wing series?
I am unsure.

Interesting idea, I remember reading about "Uglies" in the old Rogue Squadron books.
-
Wow! Can't wait to see more pictures. Looks like a great start on one heck of a project.

I sure am. It's obviously an ugly, primarily combining parts of a TIE interceptor and X wing.

Updated with three more pics.

Click on the link above. I've added two more pictures. Now you can see what the ship will look like. Of course, it's still clean and I've got a some weapons ports to add still.

Hey it looks cool. Good work. Ties are so cool looking and that made it look meaner.
-
Right out of the comics! ;D I like that a lot. Perhaps I might try it with micro machines.

I haven't gotten a lot of responses so I don't know if anyone is still interested.
If you are, progress is coming along well. I'm still have to attach a few things and add a little more weathering. I'm also having a bitch of a time getting an X wing cockpit so I've resorted to ebay and we'll see if I can get it.
I'll post picks of the finished product as soon as a canopy shows up.

Good luck getting that cockpit cover... of if you can't get one, maybe you can try and make your own? Even if it wasn't clear that would be ok, something solid jet black might look pretty cool.
:P

That custom has really come along nicely. If the cockpit from EBay falls through, let us know. We may be able to dig one up somewhere. Good luck!

I've actually thought about that, but I don't think my skills are that good...yet! I guess I could try using a mold of one of the ones I have now and then just painting the whole thing black.
