Title: Target clearance
Post by: Ben on July 8, 2003, 01:46 PM
It's about time, too.

Action Fleet, Accessory sets, and Deluxe figures for $6.98 each.

Jedi Starfighters for $13.98, if I remember right.

I'm hoping this is to make way for Clone Wars stuff, of which I've seen no hide or hair of.

My Target has about 5 figures on the pegs, Mace Windu's and other lame figures mostly... They are still bogged down with the Accessory Packs, too, specifically Hoth and Hoth and more Hoth... and they've got a million of those Action Fleet's.

They're gonna have to REALLY clearance these to clear out the shelves, the prices you stated just won't cut it, not down here at least.

My Target has about five figures TOTAL on the pegs and has for months. New stuph might be hitting while I've got my back turned (at work, showering, scooping the yard...), but getting rid of the old Accessory Sets in favor of new ones is okay by me.

No clearance in Tuscaloosa's Target.

No sale here tonight...   :-\

Eh, maybe next time...  Was at least remnants of 2003 figures at Target and Wal-Mart though...  Flying R2 (Bleh) and a lone Total Control Mace Windu...

Oh well, maybe another time I'll find something new.

I got a bitchin' winter white German Stuka from 21st Century Toys though, and it's simply awesome.  Plus you get a Pilot AND Gunner with unique heads.

For $45 you really can't beat that considering the size, weight, and complexity of the toy, not to mention the accuracy in deco and the fact you get two pack-in figures with 18 Points of articulation each AND accessories like figure stands, pistol holsters, oxygen masks, and bombs for the plane...

Yup, that's a steal!  What'd I get with the Gunship?  Yup, not nearly as much, and an underscaled ship.  Thank goodness I got it on clearance.  ;D

So my trip wasn't nearly a bad one!

I went to my local Target, but found no sign of clearance. They had about 10 old figures on the pegs and about 5 accessory sets (all Hoth), and a few Action Fleet sets, but nothing else. I hope they get some new stuff soon because this has gotten really annoying.  :(

Found no clearance at my Target but I did find Coleman Trebor, Repacked Maul and Wat Tambor.

Sorry to get any hopes up. :(

Saga Deluxe figures (all three Force Flipping figures  ::) ) are marked down at my Target here in NEPA, but the Accessory Sets are still $9.99.

Finally found a Hoth Han and Boba Fett - PoK at... Wal-Mart!  :o

Felt so lucky I went to TRU and found my first Clone Trooper 3-pack and CW Jedi Starfighter! This one day after I caved and bought over $200 of stuph online.  :-\

Not price reductions but today at Target I picked up Wat Tambor, Padme Wedding, Coleman, Reb Battle Droid, Yoda w/ Chian, Padawan 2-pack.
I left Repaked Han Solo, Darth Maul, & Leia. Also LamaSu, Barris, and other peg warmers.

THOSE are peg warmers!?!?!?   :o  They've never even been in any stores in my area!  Must be nice.

Went back to my Target last night and found all the above mentioned stuff on clearance including the Yoda electronic lightsaber for 16 bucks or so.

They also had Simpsons and Masters of the Universe on clearance too.

For you fellow LOTR collectors: The two-packs are on clearance for something like $8.78. I wish they'd put the Horse/Rider sets on sale, because they've a motherload of Ringwraiths sets at my local Target.

And, after clearing a bunch of junk out, Target gets new stuff! I found Padme and Wat Tambor today. Yay!

The Targets around me are marking all kinds of stuff down right now!  Almost everything in the action figure aisle has been red tagged now, along with a bunch of Legos and many other items as well.  Hopefully some new figures will sneak out to the shelves before the clearance sales are over so I can save a few bucks and get the collection all caught up!   8)

I just hit up Target, they had about 5 Jango Slave 1 Pilots, that's it. I am guessing that they had newer Saga earlier today or yesterday because there were 8 empty peg racks. They also had the Clone Wars pegs with SKU tags, though not a figure to be seen in this line either. I'm going to keep checking back... I still think there may be a Clone Wars promotion coming up.

I wanna bump this up. I was just in Target, and they are clearancing their Action Fleet (old and new), as well as the Accessory packs, as we speak.

I dunno, i think the new Action Fleet line is done for. Not that I care, really. But the clearancing seems to be a bad sign.

Action Fleet is still set for at least a few more waves...

The clearancing at Target is just normal. Target is great in that they don't let stuff stagnate their shelves like WalMart and TRU does.

You'll notice that every reset they rid themselves of shelf warmers and basically just older product.

No sign that AF is done... yet anyway.

Speaking of Action Fleet, I have yet to find the wave with the Republic Gunship in it. God, this town just about sucks for new stuff sometimes.

Not only do the Target's in N.O. not have any clearance prices,  they don't have anything on the pegs!  Target has been very dry lately.

Same here!  The Targets in my immediate area hasn't had squat lately.   >:(

Wave 2 of the Target clearance prices are now hitting the Deluxe figures, the Accessory sets, and the A.F. ships - down to $6.98 each.  I'll wait for the final markdown (ending in a "4"), before I'm actually tempted to pick up any more of them though...   ;)

My Target Star Wars pegs are empty, replaced with - get this - Return of the King figures. Looks like someone can't read a planogram.

Oops, for a minute there I thought I was in the the middle earth forum :D  Well, at least you have TOYS on the pegs.  I have swimming goggles in place of the SW stuff. ???

My Target has taken to placing Yugioh cards and stupid blue dragons in Star Wars' peg space. Maybe they should just place a sign that reads 'F*** Off, Geeks' there instead, because it'd be a more efficient way to get their point across.

It does indeed, though all you're likely to find is the Hoth set.
