The Vintage Collection / Re: 2022 TVC Wave 1 (New TVC Wave 22)
« on: February 19, 2022, 02:14 PM »
After many delays Target finally cancelled my pre-orders on this wave.  That's the second time in a few months that they've done that.

I'm glad I recently managed to order all of these on Amazon so I didn't miss out on them, but WTF Target?   ???

Target did the same to me after Amazon came thru with all the figures from this wave. Target has become unreliable for mainline items. They eventually come through on their exclusives, but mainline not at all.

Jeff - there should be a small notch in the main ramp with a tab slightly protruding up in the extension. Pulling down and away on that tab should extend the ramp.

I opened my Razor Crest yesterday and had a lot of issues getting many of the panels to open up. Many felt almost glued into place but were really just tight fits. I had of all things an IG-11 rifle handy to help pry open at the notches for the panels. Thankfully nothing broke but I am left wondering what caused this. Could it be related to the Razor Crests sitting on boats for who knows how long and weather conditions playing a factor? If so, what does that mean for all of the pre orders that haven’t come thru yet?

So it looks like free shipping for non members is no more at Pulse. Just ordered the throne room and two TBS figures and there was a $6.99 shipping charge ($10.99 for “expedited” shipping). For most items, like JMan just said and I mentioned previously, when most items can be found elsewhere, for less price and free shipping, Pulse is going to be a tertiary option at best for most orders going forward.

JMan - did you find Tank Driver Din on Target? I can’t locate a listing there for him. Thanks!

So it looks like all I needed to do was post here. I just got an email from Pulse that my Razor Crest is on the way and due in on Monday. FedEx tracking number shows it’s already left the Pulse warehouse in CA. Funny thing, the status of my order on Pulse still says unfulfilled. I assume that will eventually catch-up

Yeah I don’t know if I could make 8 or more orders over whatever the threshold is (I can’t find it listed on their site) to justify the $50 Premium membership. Not when I can get almost everything at Amazon, Target, or Walmart with free shipping and often for less (did I mention Target has the Darktrooper for $2.50 less than Pulse and Amazon?).

Jeff - so the o-ring retro Joes are all exclusive to Pulse? If I had confidence that they would make a deep lineup with consistent releases that could compel me on the membership. But I don’t see Hasbro having the attention span once they get past the handful of characters they always dole out and then repaint ad nauseum.

I logged in finally to check and mine is scheduled for delivery on Saturday.

I don’t get it how so many people are getting FedEx numbers while on Pulse my order says unfulfilled. They must have figured out who I was from my comments on FB and IG lol, sigh…

So i noticed todaywhen trying to get the latest preorders in, that Pulse has changed their free shipping model for non premium members. It used to be that an order of $50 or more would get you free shipping,  but thats no longer the case. I ordered two TVC Dins and one TBS Darktrooper for a subtotal of $64 and i was charged $6.99 for shipping.

Not too long later i made an order at Amazon but for 5 Dins & a Darktrooped and got me free shipping without Prime. Plus Din was $1 cheaper per figure.

Now that Pulse has limits on purchases, its hard for me to reach whatever their new free shipping threshold will be. Considering,  they are often way behind other retailers at delivering items, the change is going to see me ordering from them far less I think...

The Vintage Collection / Re: Target 2022 TVC Boba Fett (Morak)

Just saw it was available. Put two in my cart and hit order, it complained about an issue but then let me order anyways. Who knows what I got, lol

I wonder if the Fett going out today may be a mistake. Today is the next drop of info for the weekly bounty program which happens at 1pm et. The preorders usually happen the following day at 1pm et so there might be some miscommunication going on there with when Fett was gonna be available?

Does anyone happen to know the exact width and height on this thing?  I’ve reached the Mandalorian part of unpacking my collection and am trying to leave a precise spot for this thing to make it easy to put up when it’s released.

Based on the photos Hasbro shared I would guess it about the width of the Tantive IV set probably just as tall too.

.  Hasbro went for the layup here instead of taking a shot.  And frankly, for the rollout of a new assortment / "expression", they should have been shooting for the lights with something completely new.  Even if they had included something like the carrying case that the Stormtroopers unloaded the E-WEB from would have been that extra little bit of effort that would make this set shine.

We shouldn’t be surprised by Hasbro taking the easy way out. This has been their MO for sometime with new lines/SKUs - first wave or two will be simple rehashes they can quickly pump out. If it succeeds they make new items. If it fails they say there was no support when it should have been obvious they shouldn’t have started with all rehashes. Rinse and repeat.

Might get the Ahsoka set for the birdie and cloak but will be a tough cost to swallow

It’d be much funnier if the 832 were the only actual orders and all the rest were the fudged ones.

Wouldn’t that be a hoot?

JMan made some great points. I think it boils down to Hasbro’s hubris. This was going to be a tough hill to climb and they just piled on the hurdles.

The counter stopped at 832, they must have overloaded the system handling the CC hold removals.  ;D

Check it again, now at 7529.

Now at 5272, wondering if this is them processing all the credit card hold removals.

Now at 8530, the fudging has begun. Of course they will claim slow processing...

Just saw it hit 857, then drop to 8536 and then again to 8535. Me thinks someone hit the minus key accidentally  ;D
