Star Wars Action Figures / Re: Gregorbian's Customs - UPDATE 12/25/05
« on: December 27, 2005, 04:05 PM »
Great Job!

Your 12" Stuff is Sweet. I have A Bunch of WWII 12 figs. that I've Customized, but I've only made a few Star Wars 12" Customs. You've inspired me to try out a few more.

Both of these 4" customs came out came out really well.

The Mandalore looks great. I like the fact that it's not another Fett Repaint and the Silver Visor is a nice original touch. I picked up a couple of these Kicker figs myself. They are currently sitting in my WIP pile waiting to become Coruscant Speeder Bike Cops.

The Assassin Droid is the real stand out of the Bunch. The Parts Work perfectly together. The Articulation looks well preserved if not improved.  The Paint Aps. are very neat( Good Choice on the Colors). And the Weathering is very realistic.

I can't wait to see more. Keep up the great Work.

Customizing Tips and Tricks / Re: Durability vs. Detail
« on: December 27, 2005, 10:09 AM »
Until recently, I was deffinatley in the detail camp. But this weekend while organizing my Star Wars Room (a never ending project), I destroyed one of my favorite customs, when I stepped on it.  The Hasbro figure I used for the base was not damaged but the Paint Aps were toast. I've also started making Photo Novels, And I am forever touching up where Articulated parts chip the paint while poseing them. So I' m starting to explore more durable options.

I need Gung Ho and Major Barrage Heads for two of the main characters in my Photo Novel Series. Added Hi Tech from the Gi Joe line and The Blonde Saga Imperial Officer (Head Only) to my Fodder needs.

Here is some of the Fodder I have available, This is just a Small Sample of what I have. Please LMk  if you are looking for something in paticular.

Here are the Figs that the heads come with

Thanks Gregorbian!

You were deffinatly an inspiration for these customs. I loved your Dead Clones and wanted to make some for myself but the fodder was a little pricey, until recently when I found AOD 2Packs on clearence for 3.94 a piece at Suncoast Video.

I've missed seeing your custom work around and hope to see some more soon.

Thats a Great looking pair of Rebels you've got there Chewie.

I really Like the Pallet you've chosen for these guys. It's very Rebelish. The Parts mix works perfectly. My only critic is with the title you've given these guys. They look to uniform to be underground resistance fighters. I could see these guys as more of a Alderaanian Royal Guard or something like that.

Great job, I can't wait to see more,

Star Wars Action Figures / Clone Corpse Version 2.0
« on: December 20, 2005, 12:01 AM »
After making a Clone Corpse in Gen. 1 Armor, I had to make the Gen. 2 Version. This time I layered the weathering on much thicker, so that it shows better online. LMk what you think.

Star Wars Action Figures / Re: Customs by Fritzkrieg Update 12-19-2005

Thanks Guys I'm Glad you liked it. This one was really not very difficult. The hardest part was getting the XD Boots on the Ash Legs. The Belt is From a Dollar Store Cop Action figure, and the Head is from my new Favorite Fodder "Major Barrage" from  Gi Joe.

Phruby,

I have a theory about why most Orig. Trillogy Characters Dress the same. The Prequals were a very fashionable time, everyone wore elaborate costumes. Fashion was all over the place, But after the Emperor took over fashion was the first to go. Eveyone had to Dress their role, This made it easier to keep track of who was who and therefore easyier to control. ;D
Just kiddin

Actually I think without the Vest it Just Would'nt of had that Star Wars feel to it.

I love the Dark Armor.

Great Job, I might have to copy this idea for myself, only without the soft goods. I've always liked the look of sculpted Cloaks and Capes over the Cloth ones. Thats no Gripe about your choice though, It's just my personal Preference.

Keep up the Great Work.

Thanks for all the Great feedback guys.

Jesse & Chewie,
I actually did paint  some carbon scoring around the Broken part of the helmet, but it is pretty much washed out in the pic. I find that I have to overdue alot of the weathering work to get the pics to come out better. I could use some Photography tips.

Maybe this guy was killed from a high vilocity impact like a GunShip Crash (That'd look cool, This Guy hanging out of the wreckage of a Gunship High in the Canopy of some Jungle Planet), Damn now I need to find a Gunship to Trash, or maybe a Wookie Bashed him Upside his Skull. Either way it would have caused his helmet to Shatter like a Ceramic Jar on his head.

Bjarkerr,
I tried to add pieces of Body glove in there, but it obscured too much of the Skeleton. That is the sme reason I left off the Gloves Boots and Cod Piece.

Thanks again Guys.

Funny,
I made that Same Trandoshen using those same parts only I kept the Orig. Color for the Uniform. He's going to be in the fist Action Sequence of my Photo Novel.
 Here's the Pic

I love the Rykrof in Clone Armor, but I'm a sucker for Clones.

One thing I would suggest is mabey padding the inside of his helmet. When he has it on it sits to low and it looks like he has no neck.

Keep up the Great work.

Star Wars Action Figures / Good Clone Gone Bad
« on: December 17, 2005, 12:32 AM »
This is my Rotting Clone Corpse. It was a payne to do this one. Lots and lots of Dremel work here. I used an "Army of Darness" Deadite for the base and Chopped and hollowed out the clone Armor from a "Clone Wars" Clone Army fig. for the Armor of corse. I wish the pics had come out better. This one looks much better up close and personal. Hope you like it.
LMK what you think,
