My Mom, definitely. She raised me by herself, and did a damn good job, I think. I mean, just look at me now-- you can't get much better than this.   :-*

She came for a visit this weekend, and told me that she was recently diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I'm freaking out way more than she is, and although she assures me that it's not that bad (not the agressively degenerative kind), I'm still not quite sure how to deal with the news. My Mom's been mysteriously ill on and off since I was a kid, so she's actually glad she finally has a diagnosis. She had a best friend a long time ago that had MS, who was wheelchair bound and miserable all the time, she died when I was twelve. She was an amazing person, and I can never forget how the disease ruined her.  My Mother's memory is starting to fail her a little bit, she gets fevers every afternoon and has to sleep, loss of vision in one eye and numbness in one arm, but other than that, it's not too bad for her right now. It's difficult to think that my Supermom, the highly intelligent diva that she is, is not indestructible.

I am primarily Portuguese, Irish and Cherokee Indian, with a little German, English and Swedish mixed in there as well.

Well, we didn't go to Friday's (or as Virex referred to it, Chotchkie's- an Office Space reference), we opted for the Cheesecake Factory instead, which was a wise decision. The drinks and food were amazing. Just amazing. The Junebug at Friday's has Midori melon liqueur, pineapple juice, and I'm not sure what else, but it's damn good.

Scott, you just go ahead and keep grabbing at straws for things to tease me about.   :-*

Looks like tonight the Mom and I will be going to Friday's (a place that I used to incessantly tease people for frequenting until I went myself and tried their drinks). I will no doubt have several Junebugs (one of my favorite things on the planet).

Might I add, I've been a Mr Bungle fan since the first record came out.  You should also check out the new Tomahawk CD.

Yeah, I've got the Tomahawk album and just about everything Patton's ever been involved in. Not a big surprise, I guess.  ;)

Kevin Spacey

This is my favorite quote from Kevin Spacey, the Rebelscum forum member:

"Yes, hello. You loved me in The Usual Suspects, you loved me in L.A. Confidential, you loved me in American Beauty, you hated me in See No Evil, Hear No Evil.

I'm here because of the witness protection program. There was a stalker from some podunk town in Tennessee, and he won't leave me alone, so now I'm here, in hiding.

Wait."

Actually, he only made a few posts altogether, but whatever.  Oh yeah, and there was Cat Power too.

Last night I had Finlandia Cranberry vodka and orange juice, it was Deeeee-lish. I highly recommend the concoction. One has to branch out a bit from Polish beer once in awhile, no?  :-*

While I can't see eye to eye with you on your attraction to Mike Patton, I definitely agree that he's one of the most talented and under-recognized artists out there.

You don't need to love him the way I do, dear Nicklab, what you said about his talent is more than enough. Plus, you agreed with me, and that's what really counts here.  ;)

I'm in chat now, all by myself, and I'm giving out puppies and kittens to the first three people that show up!  :-*
