There was an AOTC Clone pack-in with one of the Darth Vader carrying cases... probably from that piece.

Other Collectibles / New Yoda and Darth Vader backpacks

Got news of these today in the mail...

I ordered the Yoda plush from Comic Images @ C3, and they sent me a letter with these pics and an offer to buy these direct for $39.95, including shipping. I'm sure they will be offered by some retailer later on, but I don't know where. I may have to order the Yoda one, it's too cool.

I got suckered by this website which claims to have the "Exclusive" version in stock. I ordered one last week, thinking I had gotten a steal at $70... but when it showed up, it was the regular version. Not that I'm too shocked by it. But now I'm just pissed off about it. $70 + $10 shipping for the exclusive version would have been a good deal, but for the regular version, it kinda sucks. I think I'm gonna return it.

Disgraceful. That's all I can say.

Know what the biggest problem right now with ebay is? And I guess I shouldn't even say "right now" because it's been going on since forever...

But it's people who overcharge for shipping to make up for selling an item at a "decent" price. I won an auction a week or so back, and the guy charged me $12 to ship 2 figures. $12!! From Virginia to New Jersey, priority mail... $12. The package arrived with a stamp from the P.O. that had $4.20 on it. Man, did he get a nasty email. I knew that it was too much for shipping, but I didn't know how much.

I sent a package to Washington - probably about as far away from NJ you can get within the Continental US - with two Simpsons THOH playsets in it - and those are pretty heavy - and it cost me $15.

Now last nite, I won a few auctions from the same seller. Yeah, I overpaid for a few hard to find figures, and a few UGH figures... but I thought the price was pretty fair considering that I can't find any of these in stores and no one apparently has any extras they are willing to sell at cost. So I end up with a total of 12 figures from this one seller. He contacts me this morning with a total price, and the shipping cost is $23. I wrote him an email and asked him if he was serious. $23!! From Ohio to NJ, there's no way I'm paying $23 for shipping.

The part that sucks about that is he's probably not going to change his pricing, so he's now going to leave me negative feedback stating that I'm a non-paying bidder. And that's ****** up.

jokabofe, i've always loved your customs and your paint applications. wat paints do use again?

Thanks. I generally use either Citadel Miniatures or Tamiya paints. Recently I found a great website that sells Tamiya paints (since they were hard to find locally) and placed a pretty good order - about $190 worth, so I've pretty much got just about every color now.

The Tamiya paints are nice and thin, so they spread quickly and evenly, and dry pretty fast. The only problem is if you're trying to cover an area with a lighter color than the base coat, it may take more than one coat. But I'm really starting to prefer the Tamiya over every other brand.

Yeah, they have him listed as having an "upper body injury", and from what I hear on the radio and such, rumor has it that he seperated the shoulder... which sucks balls. Much like the Rangers did this evening, without him. ******* joke.

Damn, what a ******* mess the Rangers looked like in game 1... 13 penalties. That must be some kind of record. The thing that makes me laugh (and gives me an ounce of hope) is that the Devils scored 6 goals - 5 on the power play, and 1 just as the PP expired. So theoretically, they didn't score any "real" 5-on-5 goals. Now, if the Rangers can stay out of the penalty box tomorrow night, it should be a good game. Then again, if Jagr is out for any extended period of time...  :'(

He came out and admitted it, so I reported him.

Quote
its only listed this way for marketing purposes, so more people see it, often when an item is hot, it helps to list other items with a specific name in the title,

Good one Chris, I was going to do just that... but then I had to go out and forgot about it. Maybe I should report him too...

Hahahaha... it's bad to say, but I have no pity for people who are stupid enough to fall for **** like that. The hard to find "Sega" variant? He doesn't have Sega on him anywhere...

I hate it when people put something in the title of their crappy auction just to get people to click on it... like this one:

STAR WARS COMMANDER CODY YODA #19 JEDI

It's just an auction for a crappy ROTS #19 Yoda... but this ******* has to put Commander Cody in the title so that when people search for commander cody, his auction pops up. Ebay should ban people for doing stupid **** like that.
