I'm not happy with the final cuts made by the Twins.  Letting Resto go and demoting Tiffee instead of dumping Lecroy, Rivas, Castro and Corky seems like a mistake.  Gardy wasted 4 spots on catchers.  If Mauer can't do it, make him a 3B or OF and go out and get a solid C instead of hanging onto Corky and LeCroy.  Their bench is not going to be very deep.  Hopefully the starters stay healthy or things will get ugly.

It looks like the EB set has vintage reproductions and not new figures if you read this page.

You're welcome.  I know they don't advertise, so a small amount of people know just how good they are.  The owner makes a good amount of money from what I hear.

Good to see 4 WCHA teams in the Frozen Four.  I guess those eastern teams aren't so hot this year.  The MN- ND game will be a fun one to watch.

Yeah, it looks like the John Bobbitt evidence photo.

Man, I'm glad Lindsay is 18 so I don't have to feel dirty when I look at her cleavage.
Is that next book going to be over 1000 pages?

I remember working at Target back in 1999 when the TPM stuff went on sale.  Some of the toys, like the Maul Speeder and the 12 inchers, didn't ring up because somebody didn't have them entered in.  I had a walkie talkie and was able to radio the prices up to the head cashier when she called.  Hopefully stores are ready this time around and things go on without snafus.

That price is outrageous.
I haven't come across TH's in years.  I remember back in 1995 I was able to find three of the VW Bug and three of the '57 T-Bird.  I also have a few others from 1996 that I was lucky enough to find.

I liked ANH and ROTJ much more than ESB, which is weird because I prefer the ESB movie to the other two.  I wonder if they'll do Infinities for the prequels.

I've been to the Boca Chica Taco House on Concord.  I wasn't too impressed.  I forgot to mention the new Pineda's in West St Paul which is on Robert Street in what used to be an Ember's.  They were pretty good, but nothing beats Chipotle IMO.
My favorite sub place has to be Milio's/Big Mikes.  They have fresh ingredients and their bread is some of the best around.  Unfortunately, they don't have any places in the St Paul area and I dislike going to Minneapolis unless I have to.  Jimmy Johns is close in quality, so I can settle for their food without a problem.

Any Twin Cities Arby's fans need to check out Maverick's Roast Beef in Roseville.  It's near the Old Mexico on Lexington.  It's the way Arby's should be IMO.  They use good roast beef.
What are some favorite fast food taco places?  In Mpls/St Paul the choices are Taco Bell, Taco Johns, Chipotle and Zantigo.  I'd like to visit a Del Taco sometime.  My favorites are Chipotle and Zantigo.  They both use fresh ingredients that don't make me sick afterwards.  Chipotle has some of the best guacamole I've ever had and I could eat their fajita burritos every day.  Zantigo is way better than running for the toilet, I mean border.  I used to go there several times a week when I went to Lakewood/Century College.  They have good tacos and burritos.

Power of the Force 2 / Re: What's the figure you hate the most?

It's a toss up between Monkey Leia and R5D4.  They really need to give us a new R5.  It's not like they can't throw a new head on an exisiting R2 body.

Power of the Force 2 / Re: The Beginning of POTF2
« on: March 24, 2005, 05:00 PM »
The last 10 years have gone by so fast.  I remember seeing the pictures for the first time as many others did in Toyfare magazine.  I had picked up some of the Bend-Ems and die cast Action Masters, but they weren't the same.   Real Star Wars figures were coming out again.  I found the Falcon first at Target, so I picked it up.  The first figure I was able to find was Luke at a TRU.  I was able to find the rest of the first wave at a Target shortly afterwards.  They had a limit on them, but it was something like one of each per person, so I was happy with that.  I was a completist with the figures until the POTJ line.

The Mustafar Lego set has light up sabers on Obi and Anakin.  I saw it at WalMart about a week ago.  I almost bought one, but I really need to wait.

LEGO / Re: UCS Deathstar

I wish they would make a Death Star for the figures.  It could be modular like the Jabba Palace sets.  Give us a throne room, a trash compactor, a detention block, a hangar deck, a control room etc and I would be happy.  Maybe they'll do it if this thing sells.
