Revenge of the Sith / Re: RotS - Deluxe Figures
« on: April 4, 2005, 12:08 PM »
It's great for the kids (I bought one to play with)  ;D

Everything works except for the most important part - the head/cloak.

Anakin's head actually retracts down into his body when the head/cloak piece is attached!  Why not make it a helmet?

Oops, did I say attach?  Because that never happens - the attachment method is horribly engineered - there is NO way a child can attach the darn thing - I pulled a nut trying to get the Vader helmet attached.

I can post pics tomorrow though a video would do it more justice!

Here's one for the folks who suffer from OCD spelling disorder!

Greivous' Body Guard "name tag" is spelled incorrectly.

It's spelled:  General Greivous's body guard.

I too ordered online as I live in a state that did not participate in the tent sale.

As well, I'm thinking about contacting Hasbro's customer service and asking them if I can still get the figures being that I don't have a store receipt.

 ???

I didn't even hit Target at all this past weekend - I used my coupon at Wal-Mart while everybody was in line at Target and scored my figures for $4.24.

Wish I would've bought all of them instead of the 15 or so that I limited myself to...after opening all of them I really want to buy them all now!

« on: April 4, 2005, 09:18 AM »
Every store I went to this weekend had an empty space where the gunship and ARC-170 were supposed to be...I don't know if I just missed them or if they never arrived!

Is it worth the $30?  The ARC-170 that is...

Ohhh, I just had a kick ass trooper idea:

McQuarrie Concept Trooper
EU Space Trooper
EU Dark Trooper

How's that for a killer set?

Well over at you know where, there are pics of the five packs - and they are exactly as I predicted - rehashes.

I hate to brag, but I did a better job using rehashes than the Big H....although I do need that Asaj lady....and is that the Commtech stormie begging for mercy?

Hasbro would have to be completely off of their rocker to introduce a new scale - odds are they won't cuz they wouldn't fit in the early bird display!  Right?

I mean the fans want something similar to VOTC - if Hasbro introduced a new scale, all of our ships, accessories and secondary characters would be completely obsolete.

Not a wise decision from a money making standpoint.

But my question is, how can they one up VOTC?

I'm perplexed by this, and will not spend $30 for an empty box of air!  You never know, they might send you four buff figures from the POTF2 line - from a certain POV, they are classic reproduction of the original characters!!

 :P

I collect loose so I really don't have the completist in me but damn, all of the figs look nice!

I want to pick up the new wookies, royal guards, tons of clones and the traditional characters like Obi, Anakin, & Palpatine.

I might even pick up a second Gunship since it's only $30 this time.

I love the new style of the clones this go around!  Gettin close to the OT styling!

I will gladly pay $15 for this.  But I would have rather of paid $25 for a better version of it.

 :P

Well you're in luck then.  It's $19.99.

Too expensive for my taste unless it's electronic or something.   >:(

NIN song

And it sounds cool as a user name, don't ya think?!

Any other NIN fans here?  I'm eagerly awaiting Trent's new album, With Teeth, and was quite bummed when I tried to buy tix for their Chicago show (and failed).  later found out that they sold out in less than a minute... :-[

Man, this page alone is driving me nuts!

What a bunch of fine ass all grouped together....if only I were invisible ala the Hollow Man...

Anyway, here are two that I thought of real quick like - Robin may surprise you, but I bet under that newscaster suit there's an incredible bod!

Good one Zod!   ;D

On a serious note, I thought PW was a cool guy, I mean he had the SW collector community monopoly (in my eyes).

Master Replicas is prominent now in the Props section and I'm pretty sure the Big H reads the forum a lot.

On top of that, he has a license, owns TFN and probably charges a pretty hefty price for advertisment space.

What's my point, you're asking?  Keep the clientle happy - the forum members that is.  You know, the people who click on your sponsor links?!

Admit you were wrong in sending out that mass TRU email, apologize; be a man and admit your mistakes.  It's far worse to tell your members that support your site to "get a life" and if you don't like it, ask for banishment.

That's now how I would run a business; but hey, that's just me.

Word spreads quick in the SW community - PW just lit the match on a dry field of brush....

Ahhh, my fellow comrades all together...Cable, Zod and the guy that can't spell.   :P

I, too, received that TRU email at work and I am still wondering how the hell that thing got through our spamware and how RS even got it!!

I tell ya, that Wise character is making money hand over fist off of us - he's whoring us out!!

Dude! Glad to see you here!
I went by Balki at RS until recently. Spuffy started up a Iowa finds thread, so please, join us!  :)

HMI!  Glad to see you kept your "original" user name over here!  I've always liked it!  You can bet I'll be posting in the Iowa Finds thread - no wonder I have not seen Spuffy over at RS - he's posting his finds here!!
