I was one of the folks who thought the repacks made sense, from the vantage point that there are lots of folks who came into the films and toys late.  They stop making sense when you see them, when you see there's no incentive (paint changes, new accessories) for collectors to buy them, and when many of these are already available at every KB in America.  I don't know what to think.

Christina I think is gifted in voice, but for some reason wants to be Marylin Manson.  Or a porn star.  Not sure.

And now the TTT repacks:

The only change appears to be Gandalf is whiter.  Wow.

Also, does anyone know what insert Eowyn is on the back of in the ROTK soundtracks?  Thanks.

I echo everyone's sentiments above.  What really impresses me is next year, Hasbro seems to be sweeping up lots of characters we've wanted for a long time.  If the lists are accurate, nearly every Luke will be available.  All the Rebel generals - once pipe dreams - are done in one year.  Ewoks!  The Cabbeshite guy!  R-3PO!  The Dignitaries!  It amazes.   This past year they finished off the Jedi Council (EP1 style).   Does anyone else think there isn't much left to do?

The repacks are very disappointing, particularly Arwen, and WHERE IS BOROMIR?  And wasn't Frodo supposed to be 'NEW'?  Sigh.  I'll only be collecting new figs from now on, for as long as they last.

The only one I'm still looking for is ROTK Gandalf the White.  I saw him once at KB but he was $10, so I decided to wait.  All the stores have around here are Gollum and Smeagol, or Frodo and Eomer.

They're not exactly right, but close enough for my purposes.  I just took the coat off and painted them a sort of blue-gray mix.  I think a better candidate for this would be the Aragorn that comes with Brego, since he has Boromir's gauntlets.

I agree with everyone's nitpicks, but for the most part these look great.  Luke reminds me so much of the day I bought the vintage Jedi Luke, his body entirely wrapped up in his cloak.  Cool.

There were two there when I found him and I really considered buying one to customize a robed version, which would be simple enough.  I've already done that with the Ep1 robed version, so I passed.  For now.  ;D

The Big Lebowski.  It's unstoppably watchable.   ;D

I bought Obi Wan today, and this is without a doubt my favorite PT figure so far.  I'm a huge Obi fan so to see this kind of attention devoted (finally) to the master is much appreciated.  Now all I need is a robed Obi with this much articulation and I'm happy.

I don't like it either, but since I'm an opener, I don't mind so much.  I was sort of looking forward to adding a King Aragorn and Armored Witch King to my carded collection, but alas...
