Awesome Pete! Good scores.

When returning my extra Snow Koon today at Bizarro Target, I happened to check the pegs and saw they had put out ANOTHER case of Wave 10. Only one missing was shirtless Savage.

This makes at least 3 whole cases this store has put out where most of the others haven't even gotten in one yet. Not coincedentally this is the highest grossing store in the area. (Also explains their ballsy $2 price hike)

For people that printed the redemption form, did you just cut it out and fold it in half?

Yep, exactly what I did...

Another odd sighting tonight, a random Snow Koon at my neighborhood Target. Nothing else from the wave, just him. I went ahead and picked this up since it was "only" $7.99 and I am slowly trying to return and cycle through the figures I had to pay $9.89 for across town.

Saw 2 cases of the newest wave at TRU this morning. Seems like more of an "under-40" wave, as I hadn't even heard of half these guys.

Ultron looked pretty sharp, but Namor seemes way too muscly.

Stopped by TRU this morning still hoping to find the impossibly HTF Seripas, only to see that they're already ripped down the front of store display. This is the same store that never ever got in the 4 way shipper with the new Wave 11 swag. Utter, abject failure.  >:(

I can't even remember anymore if this wave has been spotted outside of TRU, but it's probably a moot point since none of the Walmarts are stocking new figures around here and outside of 2 Targets they are stagnating badly too.

Apparently Richmond is not on the Hasbro Reps' map, because there have been NO pulls at any of the stores around here either.

I've officially moved past frustration to indifference. Well, almost.

Always an interesting topic, couple of quick points:

1) RE: Selling on eBay versus scalping. I think the key thing here is the initial listing price. If you list the figure for more or less what it cost you, and let the bidding determine the value that's just free market economics, not gouging. If you were to list something for double or triple what it cost you, plus shipping etc, then that is sort of crossing the line into scalper territory IMO. For mail-away stuff it can be hard to determine what the initial value should be though, given the UPC aspect. So I think there can be some leeway there.

2) The only possible criticism I could see with some validity is that the mail-aways are limited edition items with a finite production run, so in theory buying them up in bulk could reduce the likelihood of an individual from sending in and getting their form redeemed. Not really sure where I come out on that.

3) I think it's the height of hypocrisy for any site, not singling anyone out honestly, to complain about "scalping" whatsoever when they have sponsors like Brian's Toys and other Dbag sites that were selling the SDCC sets for jacked up prices and things like that. Those guys are WAY worse than any individual scalpers roaming around out there, IMO. They have taken it to a whole new level. Just because they pay for advertising does not absolve them of the moral implications of what they are doing. They're scalping, plain and simple.

I don't have a problem with this stuff for the most part, there can be a good deal of grey area involved.

Meh, completely disposable, I barely even remember what happened. I did like the Gungans schooling Grievous. That was pretty sweet. I'd like to think we'd get an animated Tarpals, but at this point I don't think it even matters anymore.

So I guess it's actually between THAT episode and ROTS where Anakin's powers doubled?  ::) Yeah, that might be nice to start thinking about doubling your powers because for being the most powerful Jedi ever you sure seem to get your ass handed to you a lot.

Just once I would like to see some Jedi pull some kick-ass Starkiller moves, like the Force Explosion or throwing the lightsabers, telekinesis, some cool stuff like that. Their attacks are so predictable.

Headed back to the bizarro Target that has seen a steady trickle of new CW swag and wouldn't you know it there was a lone Kamino ARF Trooper lying right underneath the pegs. Crazy. I snagged it of course, meaning I was able to secure all of this wave at the same store over a period of about 2 weeks, albeit a little at a time. So weird.

Very thankful to have closed this wave out though, given all the recent product availability woes. Still not sure when/if I will ever see Seripas, but I have to think that wave will hit outside TRU eventually.

With the first pick in the 2012, the Minnesota Vikings select...

I wish they would get the first pick, they're one of the very few terrible teams this year who would NOT be looking to draft a QB high. Thereby increasing the odds of a trade for the right to draft Andrew Luck. I want that kid in a Redskins uniform in the worst way.

Inhumans could be great, as long as they stay true to the original stories.

I'd buy a Nightsister...not sure why they wouldn't make one for CW too though

Well, exactly! What the hell? They are so hung up on "core characters" let them stick with those. If they put out cool characters in a realistic style that have NOT been done in the animated style, well that just utterly sucks.

Animated first, realistic next. Don't deprive fans of the animated line great character choices for the sake of marketing.

Interesting, I'm glad I don't feel compelled to collect packaging variants, this would be a PITA to track down. The two I have so far are both the "non-wearing" variety.

Wow, for a guy whose two favorite teams are the Braves and the Red Sox, last night was super fun. Like getting kicked in the nuts with an iron boot...twice.

Seriously, 3-2 lead in both games in the 9th and you can't close it out?

I'm sure the Yankees were not trying to tank that game near the end there.  ::)

Does Toryn Farr have some kind of cool EU backstory that would cause fans to want her? Because I am scratching my head over that one...seems like an incredibly boring "action" figure.

I'm not even going there with Jocasta, I still think people are just voting for her to irritate Hasbro.

Doallyn would be the bomb.

Also in that podcast, Derryl confirms that NYCC will have a LOT ("a ton") of TPM3D reveals - movie line, vehicles, a new previously unmentioned sku, etc.  It sounds like they are pretty much showing all their Spring 2012 cards at NYCC and rendering 2012 Toy Fair meaningless for the most part.

No love for the Clone Wars line? There's gotta be something new they can show off, even if it's the next 1-2 waves of figures after Wave 12. There's no way Hasbro doesn't have that stuff planned out already.
