it is kind of wierd that we are getting two IG assassin droids in one year. Better yet both of them are appearing in wave 2 from each seperate line.

I hope we get Rotta with Ashoka. (movie versions would be even nicer) ;D

Is that IG droid the Magna Guard or Lancer? Anyway, I may buy a couple figures in the wave depending on how they turn out. For some reason an animated C-3PO figure has my interest. I may go for Plo Koon if he's in the clonetrooper disguise. If Asajj turns out well I may get that one as well.

Ah but he will...eventually. Hasbro commented in a very recent Q&A that they plan to make animated figs in the realistic style. So "for now" is correct. I have hopes that Hasbro will follow through with their statement. If they don't it just means I'll be able to end collecting sooner rather than later. Money lost for them and money spent elsewhere for me.

Yeah, whether or not you're a fan of the animation - that wave looks pretty spiffy. I especially like the Plo Koon and Ahsoka.

Plo Koon is probably my favourite of the wave. And the paint apps on the SBD looks like it can mix well with the realistic figures...maybe as a different model lol ::)

damn it's getting harder and harder to resist geting the animated figs.
I like Cody and Ashoka, but I'm a Plo Koon fan and have a small focus on him. As well I kind of feel the same about the Super Batle droid, as if it's a different model. Add the Battle Droid from wave one that I like, plus the 212th battle pack, then there's the cool looking Greivous....damn.
I have to either get NONE at all or just go ahead and collect them. What's going to make it tough is that there is an animated clone with the AT-TE. That might make me crack...

Which sucks, because wave 3 is scheduled to release closer to christmas, and the chances of Canada getting it is slim which will in turn make it very tough to get a plo koon. Atleast Ahsoka and Cody will make it up here though.
But despite my usual "Canada will be forgotten rants" this line is looking really good.

As per our front page (http://www.jedidefender.com/), we've seen carded samples of 3 of the wave today and I saw a Cody sample as well. These are just around the corner I guess. Ahsoka really is my favorite of the wave I think.

All of them look pretty good. My son will want the Super Battle Droid for certain. Of course Plo Koon, Ashoka, and Cody look great. I could probably skip Oddball though. No...no I won't :P

That makes sense. The series launches that week on Cartoon Network. I would start looking for this wave a couple of weeks prior to the date Hasbro published.

A couple of people have found this wave at Target locally here in SoCal.

Definitely a pretty solid wave. Cody is probably the best figure in the bunch, and I like the phase I take on his armor. The Super Battle Droid comes across a bit exagerated, but true to the cartoon styling. Oddball is a lot like the othe grunt Clones, but still decent. And Ahsoka is cool. A little on the small side, but I guess that works for the character. But I'm actually a little worried that little Rotta could easily go missing.

Picked up a set of these at TRU this morning.
Meant to grab the Rex and Clonetrooper variants, but I was in a hurry to get to work and I ended up grabbing a regular old "dirty" version of Rex. Oh well...

Finally found an Ahsoka and will be giving to my daughter, though I might have to steal her lightsaber and give her a different one cause I'm sure it'll wind up broken anyway so why let it go to waste :-\
Jeez when people said her arms were too small for articulation they weren't kidding, there about as thin as coffee stir sticks. :P

I switched the TAC Super Battle Droid's legs with the Clone Wars's ones legs, and they fit perfectly. ;D

I saw a post over on Rebelscum.com a while back (sorry have not had internet for 4 months) which said that there were several variations on the Cody figure.
I believe they were as follows:
Clean
Dirty
With Scar
Without Scar
Can anyone confirm this?
