Added one today...  I gotta do a recount on these, but my buddy sold me an extra he had at our local get-together so I've managed to get a replacement in for one the platoon's casualties.  Love this figure...  hate the price.

Welcome aboard Richard...  Feel free to peruse all over this site though.  You may find the conversation a bit more to your liking than maybe what's offered elsewhere.

Have a good time, and take solice in the fact that JediMAC and other staff here keep close tabs on the finds area for just the reasons you came over here.  Vigilant the JD staff is, yeeeessss.

BTW nice theory about Shmi/Palpy.  I'm really curious if, and how that will ever get explained.  The thing about ROTS that I sorta liked and sorta hated was that it didn't wrap up everything nice and neatly.  It actually only opened up more questions which is sorta funny.

Saga Collection '06 / Re: Battle of Hoth Wave
« on: November 6, 2005, 02:42 AM »
I saw (not you Anton, others) that some were surprised at Veers having the removable armor and I was sorta surprised at their surprise...  The armor was pretty plainly obvious that it came off by looking at it.  Not that it looks bad, it just clearly is separately molded pieces.  I didn't realize there were many out there who didn't catch that.

I agree with OTFreak about the hat...  Seems odd if he doesn't have it, and I have to say it's a disappointment if it's the case.  I was really REALLY looking forward to having a hat I could perhaps use for customizing but whatever...

In the end I'll be content with Veers I think...  The whole Saga series is looking cool but I'm more concerned with articulation taking a step backwards after so much advancment in this area by Hasbro...  Ball/socket knees missing on Han (Veers I'm alittle more lenient on) is just a disappointment...  Same goes for Derlin since I consider him an army builder.  Veers I'm so-so on.  He could use them too and I'd be the first to want them but somehow I just don't care as much about him.  Maybe it's all the gear he comes with, I dunno.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Jarhead
« on: November 5, 2005, 01:32 AM »
I'd like tos ee it but it's one of those movies I'm thinking I can't get the gf to go see...

The shot of the A-10's buzzing over the infantry is just great though and really makes you wanna check that out.  Looked nice...  The music though is great too, at least in the commercials, and seems to fit the bill.  Sorta reminded me something of a modern version of Full Metal Jacket or some such, maybe a little more light-hearted at times, i dunno.

Looks good though to me.

It reminded me of Full Metal Jacket a lot too.

I'm suprised, with Jake Gyllenhaal and Jamie Foxx in it, that your gf wouldn't want to see it.

She knows she has all the beefcake she needs at home with me...  Oh yeah...

*sigh*   :'(

Original Trilogy Collection / Re: Carded Wedge, finally!
« on: November 5, 2005, 01:22 AM »
To Hasbro's defense on the helmet, the helmets are often made to fit the head more than heads made to fit the helmets, which is odd but it is how they seem to be done.  Dutch's helmet may have been an awkward fit on Wedge's noggin.  The problem could be minor, it could fit perfectly (I don't have my figs handy to check), or it could be major and not fit at all.  I've noticed that Dutch's helmet doesn't fit a whole lot of my "fodder" heads from other lines too well...  Some the strap is too loose on them and on others the helmet just won't fit on the head.  It's weird.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: ROTS Pegwarmers?
« on: November 5, 2005, 01:18 AM »
After some trips out I've noticed a lot of Collection 1 starting to sit, which is maybe just a short-term lull or perhaps the kids have finally figured out that new video games are out there they want...

Lots of stuff I haven't seen for a while is out there though, like Anakin figures, Chewbacca, etc...  Not much I'm wanting, but still lots of stuff.

The line's going to be a bitch to find if all that's coming in right now is old stuff though.  I did notice that Clones have gone from handfuls here and there to almost none...

Vader's king pegwarmer right now I think.  Almost every WM has an army of him from the solid cases...  Neimoidian is a pegwarmer, but Vader's really outpacing him right now.

Modern Trading / POTJ Fleet Troopers For Trade
« on: November 4, 2005, 05:36 AM »
I have 3 of the POTJ Rebel Fleet Trooper hanging around here that I'd like to trade away for some of what I'm in search of.

I'd trade them for any of the following:

-Shocktroopers (Red #6 Clone repaint)
-Any figure from the Clone Evolutions set (especially Sandtrooper)
-Tactical Ops Trooper
-Holographic Plo Koon
-Holographic Ayla Secura
-Clone Wars SA Clonetrooper
-Entertainment Earth 4-pack Clonetrooper (any variant)
-POTJ or Saga "Imperial Officer"
-Amidala w/Ascension Gun
-VOTC Stormtrooper (would trade 2 RFT's for one VOTC Stormie)

This is about all I'm really in search of heavily at the moment...  If there's no offers I'd consider selling the Fleet Troopers as well but I'd rather trade for something I need with these.  Pleas help these guys (they still suck) find a home. :)

Revenge of the Sith / Re: When will the ROTS clearances start?
« on: November 4, 2005, 05:25 AM »
I hope they clearance stuff like that.  We have RT's I'd like to stock up on and the last of the Wookiee Flyers would go with me too for a downed one with some dead Wookiees strewn about it.

Saga '02-'04 / Re: Saga after retail - eBay prices
« on: November 4, 2005, 05:25 AM »
Nowhere NEAR hard to find.  Clearanced at KB in droves.  I bought one simply for the metal hilt to give to my (hoped for at the time) ultimate Maul figure...  Now that I have that figure pretty much with the Evolutions one, youc an guess what he's getting in his stocking for X-Mas! :)

Yes little maully, your own special little metal lightsaber.  Awwwwwww, yeah I love you too buddy....

God it's late and I'm getting weird.  Goodnight.

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: ROTS DVD Nov 1st
« on: November 4, 2005, 04:46 AM »
Agreed on the Rebellion bit John...  That actually has a LOT of importance.  First, it establishes some "scale" to Star Wars...  The petition of 2000 kind of shows the viewer that the Alliance is a "pitiful little band" compared to the Empire...  On the grand scale of things though, the Alliance is F'n huge itself.  It would rival the CIS as far as its ultimate threat to the Empire and it gives some real "meaning" behind the Empire wanting a Death Star.  To me it even reinforces a 2nd DS as being something worth investing in for the Empire as the Alliance is an already large, and supposedly growing body.

The acting was a little eh...  I didn't mind Smits and felt his acting was intentionally "coy" more than "bad".  The worst dialogue delivered in the sequence was Lucas's older daughter...  Good lord must his kids get their usual cameos like this?  Her stupid look at the screen in AOTC, and now her asinine acting job.  One line and it sounded forced!  That's almost worth giving her her own award for.

Yoda's scene is kinda cool.  That's the most deluxe escape pod in history it seems.

Shaak's scene could've been edited down a bit and reinserted.  It really, to me, is the scene out of them all that is necessary to improve ROTS whereas the others could be missing and not have any major impact...  I like the Rebellion scenes but ultimately they don't really change much that's important overall, however Grievous' character is established as a little more of a badass in his executing Shaak sequence, and that's something his character desperately needed.

Toy Reviews / Re: New JD Review: Neimoidian Warrior
« on: November 4, 2005, 04:39 AM »
Hah, thanks Jason. :)

I really think the guy's underrated, but for only having a couple seconds of screentime I guess you can't blame people for not wanting an army.  To me though, army builders are army builders as far as me wanting more than one...  I would like 20 Neimodians when it's all said and done I think, with 2 Commanders at least.  If they were a buck, I'd gladly build a bigger army...

Then though I gotta figure out how to arm them.   :-\  The lame-ass gun he has ain't working.

VOTC Han is the best. :)  Best Solo likeness IMO anyway.

Got this early Paul?  Cool man.
