Sandtroopers.com (http://www.sandtroopers.com/sandwatch/hasbro/20110428/) posted a nice loose gallery of Savage Oppress images. He looks pretty slick, and appears to come with all his weapons.
I was a little let down by the character, but since it seems like he'll return at some point I'm glad that he's getting a figure sooner rather than later.
-
I guess there will be another one, with a lightsaber.
This looks like the one from the 2nd episode, witht he sith training and the crazy attack on the temple at the end.
Probably get one with his "sith"(Well he isn't a sith, but whatever haha) robes and lightsaber
Nice to finally see him tho, I was wondering why it was taking so long to see him. I thought he would have been on the shelves when the episode aired
Thanks,
Jim

Dude gets his own thread? Dayum, let the hype commence!
I can only see the tiny image on the front page here, since Sandtroopers does not want me to see their site while I am at work, damn them. But from first glance it looks freaking awesome.
I was not a huge fan of how he turned out on the show either, but the figure looks like a winner.
-
Why is he yellow? Wasn't he more orange?
-
I think he looks decent - but honestly I expected more. Hopefully it will come in the next release of him since this is obviously just the "training" version of him. The weapons look nice.
-
Cool. Another figure for me to see pictures of and then never find in the store to buy.
-
I think hasbro gets its jollys from showing pictures of figures we will never see at normal retail.

Ha! Maybe.
I immediately looked at the ankles, and lack of a joint there and say "it figures". Not a bad looking figure, but as an action character...at least give us Cato/Embo style ankles.
-
Way to yellow, hopefully the final product will be different.
-
Why is he yellow? Wasn't he more orange?
Oppress' colors were based on the Pittsburgh Steeler "black and gold" coloring, so he's definitely not orange, however his yellow may not be exactly right either. I can't really say. To me he looked ok as-is though, but maybe a comparison with a shot from the toon will help.
As far as his own thread goes... When he is given a wave, he'll get folded into a thread for it.
-
I 'm liking it. I'll reserve judgement on the colors until we see official product photography of him. I'm sure the lighting and color correction applied to these first look images are not representative of the true color.

I'm telling myself the same thing.

Well it's about time! If I miss this figure I won't really mind, I want a "Sith gear" version more. This is a nice figure, but the color also seems off to me. It really looks cartoony, too, especially the facial expression. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of wrinkling/detailing on his robe, either.
-
I'm really hoping they give him a lightsaber
-
He's yellow but not lemon yellow, and not orange orange (tricks are for kids) He's supposed to be more of a canary yellow.
Looking forward to him though. I hope he has some kind of garb for his upper torso with him. These CW figures rarely get repeated so it would be nice to have him complete.
-
It seems Savage has TWO figures, armored and unarmored/shirtless... He's in 3 future cases for pre-order on EE right now.

Wow, what a treasure trove of information! Where to start?
1) We're not only getting Hondo Ohnaka re-issued finally in Wave 10, but we're also getting the long awaited Commander Jet! (Oh yeah!)
2) R7-D4 in Wave 12 is a previously unreported figure. Finally, an astromech to go with Plo Koon's starfighter!
3) No mention of Chewie or Tarrful but we get a generic Kashyyk Warrior? Hmm.
4) Repack of Jar-Jar in Wave 12, but no mention of Aayla.
5) All waves listed as August 2011 which confirms my suspicion that we will not be seeing any more new figures before Comic-Con. :( That is a long dry spell.
Thanks for posting, can't wait to see these!
-
Kashyyyk Warrior I'm betting is Tarrfull, but just placing an early bet on that, haha. There were a number of generic ones with him I guess.
-
I'm glad Hasbro was smart enough to place Savage in 3 different cases - figures are already hard to find as it is with the distribution problem, and something tells me that Savage in specific will be a hit with kids and collectors alike - maybe even with the casual buyers, being that he's so similar in design to Darth Maul.
-
Just adding the new pics that popped up...

That Plo Koon looks pretty spiffy... I wouldn't mind if I skipped shirtless Savage, the armored version looks tons better.
-
I will mainly buy the shirtless Savage for my son. He likes the picture of that one more than the armored one. I am sure he will like both though. Plo Koon does look good. I will leave him on the shelf though.

Tunghori has shirtless Oppress and Snow Gear Plo Koon

Commander Jet (http://www.sandtroopers.com/sandwatch/hasbro/20110611/) loose & carded images at ST
-
Awesome, he is going to be so worth the wait! Once the Flitknot speeder comes out I'll be able to recreate that whole battle scene from Geonosis.
-
Ah, I missed the opportunity on savage. unless he pops back up on the bay

He's yellow but not lemon yellow, and not orange orange (tricks are for kids) He's supposed to be more of a canary yellow.
According to the style guide, that yellow is supposed to be Pantone 1225.

Looks a little pale in the pictures.
-
Does anyone know what the fencing-sword thing is that Savage is holding? I don't recall seeing it in the episode.
-
Don't know if this is old news. Kamino ARF on Ebay
ARF Trooper Kamino (http://cgi.ebay.com/Star-Wars-CLONE-WARS-CW56-ARF-CLONE-TROOPER-KAMINO-/250849163631?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a67c6796f)

I got my Savage last week from tunghori and man is he one nice figure. I'd even say his scale and likeness would fit in with the realistic line...really well done
-
Ugh, that's going to kinda tempt me to nab him now.

This wave in stock over at BBTS

I have been checking out the new packaged photos on the Facebook page Yakface was kind enough to pimp...some interesting stuff. They have totally redesigned the packaging. The bubble is much bigger now and covers the whole bottom part of the card. The battle card and die are now positioned somewhat behind the figure rather than off to the side. And they have some kind of new tagline "Check out this gear online!" with arrows pointing to the accessories.
The packaging tweak definitely seems to work for the larger figures like Seripas, not so much the astromechs.
I'm curious where the new figs will show up first. Target seems likely since they are out so far ahead of the curve right now, but I could see it being Walmart too since the 2 seem to take turns being relevant. I believe it was TRU who got the last wave first, so maybe they will lead the way again.

Variation alert - pics from eBay below. No idea which came first, just passing the info along to those who may care... ;)

I saw that posted over at POTF2 (http://potf2.com/potj/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=16793) as well.
I'm betting the "wearing antennas" came first judging by the solicitation photos, but how know with its release being all screwed up.
-
Interesting, I'm glad I don't feel compelled to collect packaging variants, this would be a PITA to track down. The two I have so far are both the "non-wearing" variety.
-
I have seen both versions at Target
-
Found Savage at Target today. And in the very front of the pegs, too, shockingly enough.
