They're mostly only mentioned in fairy tales and legends.  The only actual part they've played in the books is in the cave with Bran.

Yeah, so far I'm liking what they're doing with Preacher.  Tulip is a bit more energetic than I remember.  But that's probably an improvement.

The Preacher books were ahead of their time when it comes to irreverence and just nasty stuff.  I read the first 50 or so issues back when I was in college, and they were wild.  Great characters, too.  I can't imagine they'd be able to bring that stuff to screen without heavy editing, but then it's AMC so who knows.

I had to DVR the premiere - gonna watch it tonight.

The Jeff Goldblum casting blows my mind.  The Grandmaster is such an out-there crazy character, it'll be interesting to see what they do with him.

That finale was intense.  Guessing right until the end on who bites it (I figured it out when SPOILERS Lincoln grabbed Daisy and they didn't show her necklace again  /SPOILERS).  I thought when Mac hugged Daisy, that was probably the most powerful moment of the entire series.

I'm also totally confused by the epilogues.  Daisy becomes Robin Hood - that's easy enough.  But the rest of the threads - total mystery.

I'm worried we'll still see Ward again.  There's the matter of that Kree artifact he dug up - the "only thing" that can destroy him.  That seems like a pretty major plot point to just leave out there hanging.  I don't think we were ever told what happened to it.

Now that Dany has all the Dothraki behind her, I wanna see her roll through Slaver's Bay and raze the whole region.

I went to BABYMETAL over the weekend.  It was one hell of an experience.

Gotta flip 1 and 2 to be chronological, but that is a pretty decent breakdown.

Both events were the result of Sokovia.  Zemo probably didn't know the extent to which the accords were causing a schism in the team.  So it was two concurrent, but independent, lines of events.

And I believe he killed the soldiers so they wouldn't cause the same harm as the Avengers.  He went to Siberia to find and kill them.

There are a couple plot holes, though.  The video camera was very conveniently present at the exact spot of the accident.  And that some plebe from eastern Europe was able to find the info and video when Tony Stark, genius security hacker billionaire, could not... that's a bit of a stretch.

Oh yeah - the little birds being street urchins was stupid, too.   :P

No doubt the R + L = J theory is confirmed, IMO.

As esteemed an actor Sydow is, I'm not real happy with what they've done to the Three Eyed Raven.  The way he looked at the end of Season 4 was awesome.  I guess Sydow has the pull to avoid time in the make-up chair, so now he looks like a puppet in one of the trees on Mr. Rogers.  This was amazing...

I like Arya's story better in the book.  Basically, she cheated to get cured of her blindness (which was the result of intentional poisoning, not an effect of using masks), which left the window open for her retaining free will.  Here it looks like she's going full-on faceless, which is disappointing.

And Daenerys' story has pretty much hit a wall.  Seems like we're looking at a long stretch of garbage before she gets to do anything interesting again.

Sorry to do nothing but pick nits.  It just seems like a lot of stories have stalled out right now.

In the books I believe Littlefinger is still with Sansa.  A completely different girl married Ramsey.  A young girl that sort of resembled Arya that the Boltons told everyone was Arya so Ramsey could have legitimacy in the north.

I don't know how casting an Asian person is somehow offensive to the Chinese.  This might be a case of Marvel addressing a sensitive issue without really understanding if it's a concern for the audience.  There are a dozen ways to have cast an Asian and made things more vague if the concern was really China vs. Tibet.

You don't know how casting an Asian person is somehow offensive because you haven't rigorously studied the issue.  Disney has poured probably hundreds of thousands of dollars into market research on casting, and thus THEY KNOW exactly how casting an Asian person in this role is offensive.  They know in excruciating detail.  They have reams of spreadsheets detailing projected losses for every possible casting scenario.  Disney doesn't do things half-assed.

For us to speculate on what is or isn't offensive is silly, honestly.  We have no idea.

His point is that it's impossible to "solve."  There is no choice that'll make everyone happy, so you decide which damage you want to inflict on yourself.  And they chose to upset "traditionalists" instead of upsetting the Chinese market.

That's probably the most financially sound decision, since it's unlikely a bunch of comic book geeks are going to skip Dr. Strange because Tilda Swinton is the Ancient One.  If they'd cast someone from Tibet (following comic canon), then it's possible the Chinese government wouldn't even allow it to be released in their country.

FWIW, Tibet is disputed territory.  China says it's part of China.  Tibet claims independence.  And ethnic Tibetans are not viewed favorably by many Chinese.
