LEGO / Re: 2017 New UCS Millennium Falcon

Lego Stores have these in stock.  Got shipments this past weekend.  Most around me were sold out but was able to find one.  Getting it this afternoon.  My wife told me that I have to take that as my Christmas gift for the next 6 years due to how expensive it is.  Well worth it!

Give your local store a call and good luck!

The terrible urge to run out and buy everything Praetorian Guard is getting stronger...........

Looked to me like there were 8 total guards, 2 of each of the 4 unique weapons. Hasbro has made 3 of the 4 (Rey 2 pack, Kylo Force Link 2 pack, BB-8 playset), not counting the 3.75 inch Black Series figure, meaning to have a complete set you'd have to double up on them and wait for the 4th to be made.

Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on this

I think you're good.  I'm also good to go with just two Executioner Stormtroopers.  :D

The Sequel Trilogy / Re: Star Wars: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS)

The second viewing is usually better once you see the more clever details. I still don't like the kids with the over exaggerated expressions and broom kid. That felt like pandering to the kids in the audience. Otherwise I really liked it.

I opened this guy up yesterday and its a sweet figure.  My only complaint is that the elbow articulation sucks.  The layered armor prevents the elbow from moving much at all and I was hoping to do some funky poses with these guys based on the battle scenes in the movie.

It's actually a lot more flexible than you think....it just takes some work to get there. You have to apply some force, but they do bend almost a full 90 degrees with a bit of effort.

I gotta get another one of these Amazon ones for sure...

Yes, there is a great section on the Guards in the Visual Dictionary...there are 8 total flanking Snoke, 3 distinct helmet types.

There are 3 of the regular 6" Guards, 3 of the Amazon 6" Guards, and 2 of the Gamestop/B&N 4-pack exclusive Guards.

I am halfway there to completing the full ranks. I don't know if I can go the full route though. I think I might be happy with just 5...

The Last Jedi / Re: Retail Prices/Sales/Discounts

In my spoiler-avoidance hibernation last week, I missed the fact that EE was offering FREE shipping for all in-stock Star Wars items in your order.

Deal is still good for a few more days if you need anything...

The Sequel Trilogy / Re: Star Wars: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS)

Saw it twice this weekend, and loved it. As some others have said, I liked it even more the second time. I think maybe because there was just so much to take in. So glad I avoided spoilers, the payoff was much better I think. It just seemed so different than the other Star Wars movies, but not in a bad way. I can see the point about Canto Bight basically being pointless, but I also didn't mind it (and I want toys of the falthier beast). I thought Mark Hamill was amazing in this movie. Bummed to see Luke "become one with the force", but thought it was done very well. I was sort of hoping to see him leave the island (for real), and get in on the action, but this was very cool as well. I can see why reaction is a little mixed on the Leia "force fly" moment, but it worked for me, and seeing my daughters reaction to it makes it even better. Really interested to see where they go in 9 now. Also, lots more action figures I hope we get.

And I believe all 4 weapons types are included with the 3 guards (though I don't believe the whip/sword has articulation).

I do recall seeing one guard "break" his twin blade staff into two piece like Ventress does saber.
