I don't really give a stuff if Vos is seen in CW seasons (yet) or not.

Hasbro in their Q&A are pretty specific read pedantic with their selection criteria for getting ANY figures made so Vos is not going to be in the CW series somewhere?

Unlikely.....  ::)

Great character and if he's being made then it beats the other very ho hum characters that have already fill slots in various waves and are peg-heaters not peg-warmers.

So if they are making a Vos for the CW line - yay!!

Collect All 92! / Re: Rebel Commander
« on: June 9, 2010, 05:55 AM »
Was never a fan of the original Rebel Commander figure and this more recent rendition I have not seen in the plastic here in Australia at all (thanks to poor Hasbro distribution)

Pic of the newer version look good and the Derlin head doesn't look bad.

An update to this character would be good, legs closer together would work.

Hi there,Found one of the characters I had in my childhood collection on AU ebay and bid and won - yay!

The character I had was 'Mercer' however in the auction I won there's two others who I never did have and wondered if any members here could assist me in identifying them:

(or... if there's a site out there for reference that anyone knows of either that'd be great help and much appreciated)

Collections / Re: Where Does Your Collection Reside?
« on: June 4, 2010, 09:12 AM »
Good thread  ;D

My collection is currently boxed and in a spare room with some items such as a CW AT-TE on a blanket box in my lounge room for "a display" and I have some loose CW (Bly,Thire,Secura,Sidious,TX-20,Artoo and Threepio and two second released type Magnaguards) and TVC figures (Dak and AT-AT Commander) as well as the G.I.Joe/M.A.S.K. 'Trakker' figure and a MU Modern Thor on my computer desk.

Kind of have been having some less than good thoughts on all of the stuff that is boxed cause it's not "right" for it to not be displayed somehow however as my collection represents hard graft and time gathering it plus it's inherent value to me I cannot sell any of it off.

Dollars wise and space wise it is more than able to remain there so I have to get creative and think of a way to make it displayable which is not impossible.

With this task I shall apply a great axiom: "Do or do not, there is no try"

The Vintage Collection / Re: 2010 "Vintage" Basic Figure Line
« on: May 30, 2010, 12:19 PM »
From Yakface:

The Vintage Collection Wave 3
1x Gamorrean Guard (21482)
1x Ackbar (21483)
1x Jedi Luke (21484)
1x Skiff Guard - Woof (21485)
1x R2 with Pop-up Lightsaber & Drink Tray (21486)
1x Rebel Commando (21487)
1x Yoda with Hover Chair (21481)
1x Wicket & Kneesaa (21488)
1x Rebel Pilot (Wedge) (21489)
1x Clone Trooper (20833)
1x Sandtrooper (20832)
1x Darth Vader (97580)

The Vintage Collection Wave 4
1x Zam Wiessel (24989)
1x Obi-Wan (24990)
1x Peasant Anakin (24991)
1x Peasant Padme (24992)
1x Jango Fett (24993)
1x Kit Fisto (24988)

1x Super Battle Droid (24996)
1x Grievous with Cape (20824)
1x Sandtrooper (20832)
1x Darth Vader (97580)

There are some very interesting choices here.  Very excited obviously by Wedge (hope he's not labeled Rebel Pilot on the card...) and Peasant Padme.  Kneesa???

 agreed...

At the risk of sounding foolish I was wondering are (any or some of) these re-sculpts?

e.g. Ackbar was last done in POTF2 wasn't he?

Impressive..... most impressive....  ;)

I don't recall Leia being that dirty in the movie, ever, but I guess it's possible.

ESB dialogue on the Millenium Falcon -

Leia: "Stop that..."

Han: "Stop what?"

Leia: "My hands are dirty"

Han: "Well my hands are dirty too"

Guys just accept this hobby for what this is, it's a mentally abusive relationship. You start out with the best intentions and things are great for awhile. Then come things like price raises, figures shortages & such that ruffles the feathers. You get pissed at Hasbro and leave the hobby. They make good like an apology with sweet new product offerings to lure you back to make you think like they changed, what happens next: the **** hits the fan again & you leave. You think you left for good but like any good abusive relationship you come back for more when your guard is down thinking "it will be different this time". Right now too many collectors guard are up, but rest assured they will be back. The pattern shows this.

Oh this is so well put.

Many Thanks.  ;D

It's not clear to me how the process of selection for characters to be made is done when it's not sequential at all.

Perhaps Hasbro take GL's comment that the Clone Wars is an anthology and not a chronology into account?  ::)

Other Toy Lines / Re: M.A.S.K.
« on: May 14, 2010, 02:30 AM »
M.A.S.K. was one of my fave toy lines and cartoon in childhood.

After SW had kind of quitened down toys wise it was M.A.S.K. and Robotech toys that I collected/played with then.

Had the CONDOR bike,FIREFLY racing car and the large orange 4WD with Hondo Mclean too.

Good times....  ;D
