Thanks Tracy- welcome to JD
yeah, Jesse, last week they started up the radiation again, and my white blood cells last Monday started at 2.1, by Thursday (after 3 rads treatments) dropped to 1.9 and today they dropped all the way to 1.4. So, no chemo still. I only had today left for the current external treatment. I'll be resting the rest of the week- see the gyn oncologist tomorrow. Monday I'll hopefully start chemo again plus switching now to the internal rads - which will be quite painful for me- 2x a week, 5 times today. I don't think they will do one without the other on these treatments because it's such a complicated procedure they want to make sure it works.
The chemo doc says it's unusual that my body just takes such a whipping with treatment- but then again, they are doing a good amount of treatment to me.
After the internal rads, I'll go back and get some more external rads again. whew!
and I got little blue tattoo's today- markings for when I return to radiation so they know where to zap me.
Hopefully it'll all be gone and over with soon
