Title: Business Cards in InDesign 2
Post by: Angry Ewok on February 3, 2007, 08:59 PM
Is there an easy way to setup a page of 10 business cards? I used to do this in PageMaker, but I'm on InDesign now, and can't, for the life of me, find a simple template.

Help.

Design one business card how you want it in the upper left of a letter sized page, then use the Step and Repeat (under the edit menu) to offset the remaining 9 cards.

Horizontal offset the first card (3.5 in) and then Step and Repeat those 2 cards 4 more times Vertically 2" for a total of 10 per sheet.

I was hoping there was an easier way. I know this isn't brain science, but for whatever reason I can never get the cards set on the right margins... It's been a while since I did a setup for b/c's.

These are just vanilla cards, really, nothing fancy to excuse my being totally clueless... the printing margins just confuse the hell out of me, I guess.

In any event, I've got it stepped/repeated and everything, should have it to my boss to proof pretty soon. Thanks for the reminder about the Step & Repeat.
