Title: Invasion of the NEWBIE kind!!
Post by: Lemon-Viper on June 3, 2003, 04:35 PM: That's right, I'm a newbie to Vintage Star Wars collecting.

My name is Joel Lemon. I'm 26, married with no kids. I live in Redmond, WA(about 10 miles from Seattle).

Some of you may know me from yojoe.com, joecustoms.com, and for a very short time rebelscum.com. I've been trading/collecting GI Joes for a while and am about to complete my collection. I started collecting vintage Star Wars about 3 weeks ago and am up to 20 figs, only 2 of which are complete. I've got a loooooong way to go. :)

I'll be seeing you all around the board!

Just remember to be patient, look for some good deals, and keep your wits about you, and you should be able to put together a real nice collection of Vintage goodies in no time!

I tried to salvage my GI Joe collection, but as fate would have it, I was rough on my Joes back in the day, and none of the figures were worth the time digging them out of the attic. Of course, one day I will buy a GI Joe figure or something, just to place among my other trophies of childhood (TNMT, Ghostbusters, etc), now if only Hasbro would make a decent Cobra charactor.... :-\... I haven't been to a GI Joe board before, so tell me, am I the only one craving a regular Cobra trooper or Crimson guard figure, instead of these super-armored villians I've seen all over the pegs?

Loved the "YO Joel", Jengo Fettish. Believe it or not but THAT was the first time anyone but me has said that! That was my favorite thing to yell during the cartoons when I was a youngun...
