Looks like a few custom figures mixed in with those troops, I like the 2 covering Gree's back, very nice.

I incorrectly identified this at RS as Darth_Ball's. :-[

Impressive. Most Impressive.

No problem, it happens all the time, someone sent me link to that one and a few others that posted pics of my collection on a couple of other forums.

The reaction varies from anger to amazement, I especially enjoy the angry posts.  I have been singled out as the main reason why people in 49 of the 50 States couldn't find a Tactical Ops Trooper.   The best part of it all is that I traded mostly McFarlane Sportspick chase pieces for a ton of Army Builder figures last year.  Those McFarlane collectors are pretty dedicated to completing those sets with the variants and seem to have easier time finding Star Wars than I do.

Thanks for the compliments on the collection.... ;D

And I must have missed something between here and there, who is this Greenday person that annoys so many?

A tool troll!

I see, well then, now that I have that out of the way, I will stop giving the troll things to reply to.   I am sure he or she has a busy day at school tomorrow.

Nope, I forgot, tomorrow is a Holiday for the younglings, no wonder he or she still up.

What does his being homosexual have to do with anything?

I am sorry, I hereby apologize to the homosexuals, I was incorrect, he is not a homosexual, he is a hermaphrodite.

And I must have missed something between here and there, who is this Greenday person that annoys so many?

I am also sorry, in advance to the hermaphrodite's, it's not his fault that he is a part of your group, he was born that way.

I gave him a can of SPAM to give to Philip at Celebration 3.

He does in fact exist.

Kevin

Good, I am looking forward to meeting to pos in person one day.

It was difficult to see what this guy looks like from that stupid avatar he had up on RS forever with him making that gay pride sign or whatever the hell it was.  I just figured I would just look for the big vag. walking around at the next Star Wars function and that would probably be him.

Wow, I actually had to go back to the beginning and read this thread from the start, since I thought all this time I might be the only one out there that would like to kick Phillip Not-so-Wise in that Jabba size gut of his.

I was wondering if anyone has ever seen Phillip's left nut Dustin in person before or is he just an imaginary jackass?

Those are the 5 that are scheduled to be released, so I would have to say it's legit.  I wouldn't pay that much for them, but I'm sure someone will.

I do agree, I like having the name on the base but I did pass on figures like the Snowtrooper because I have no need for this one. If I want an officer, I can paint an extra Saga Snowtrooper. Bad figure, might be the worse release so far in the line (IMO).

This Snowtrooper is a pretty weak attempt by Hasbro, combining 2 average figures into 1 that still sucks.  I am still holding out hope for a VOTC style Snowtrooper and Royal Guard.

Saga Collection '06 / Re: TSC Recent Purchases
« on: January 15, 2006, 08:44 PM »
In my area I have noticed a trend. The waves are hitting Walmart, then Target, then TRU. After that the Saga waves disappears and we did not see more figures until the next wave hit. Then it was a ratio of 3 Carkoon to 1 Hoth in many Walmarts, some getting a 3 to 2 ratio of Carkoon to Hoth.
My question is has anyone seen a Wally, Target or TRU restock a Saga wave after initially receiving their first shipment?

Yep,  Super Target here put out 2 solid cases of the Hoth wave today, same store put out 2 cases of the Hoth wave last week when it started to hit, with no sign of the Carkoon wave this time around.

I'm real disappointed they didn't make a new Padme either.  Is she going to show up at all this year?

Yes, Target exclusive Snow Bunny Padme is due this year.

so is it confirmed that vader is a 100% straight re-pack? no subtle paint app differences or anything else? from some of the previous posts this seems to be the case. what abot the reeken and R-2 figures. any paint app differences on either of those? how about the accesories that come with R-2. are they any different paint-wise than when they were packed in with the luke x-wing vehicle a couple years ago? just wondering because all my older stuff is packed away right mow. thanks.

I didn't open Vader, but it appears the cape is different, or at least it looks different, it is real tight around his neck, looks like a choker, other than that, looks like a repack to me.  Rieekan is the exact same one as was in the Deluxe pack, that's why I left him hanging on the pegs, they could of at least put his head on the Derlin Body.  The R2 is the VOTC R2 with some tan wash, pack-ins are the same that came with the X-wing except all grey.

Since Hasbro re-packed a VOTC R2 for us, for a 4 bucks less, I am kind of hoping they decide to give us a few more VOTC figures repacked, like the Stormtrooper...but I am not holding my breath on that one...

P.S.  Really sorry to hear about that fire.  I've often wondered what I'd ever do if something like that happened.  Considering it's taken nearly 30 years to get to where I'm at right now, I couldn't even imagine trying to rebuild.  Did you have a special collectibles type of insurance policy, or was your stuff just under your normal insurance?  I've been meaning to look into the collectibles insurance for a while now, but have been too lazy so far...

You can get a more comprehensive policy that covers those types of items or additional collectible coverage added to a standard insurance policy.  There is also a company out there the sells collectibles insurance, seen them at toy shows, etc, but I don't honestly recall the name of that company right now...

Welcome to JD Rob :)  I'm sorry to hear about your house and your collection :'( -- I hope that everyone in your family was alright though.

BTW -- you don't happen to also go by the name Bilbo do you?

Tracy

Bilbo?  Nope, not me.  I am not a big LOTR fan, I like the movies, don't collect the figures and definitely wouldn't choose Bilbo as a nickname.  At least I hope that anyone going by Bilbo is a LOTR fan...

Oh my, are you serious?  I hope not by the smiley at the end, but I can't help but think it is by the blunt way you said that.  I'm sorry if that's the case man, that truly sucks, and I hope everyone was at least ok, as you said...

Insurance is cool and glad you looked at it that way, but it still must hurt some.  I had no idea though, so I'm sorry for making light.  You went through something pretty ****** my friend, and I'm glad to see you so resillient from it.  That shows character.

Nope, it's no joke, wouldn't joke about a thing like that.  I am not superstitious, but I do believe in karma, and joking about that is tempting fate.

It's all good now, like I said no one was hurt physically.  I managed to re-build my modern collection and I posted some pics in the collection section here.  If you see the pictures, you can see why some people don't believe that I ever missed a beat.  The only items I have yet to replace are my Vinatge items.  I can go buy all the vinatge figures as well, but it's just not quite the same.  The ones I lost were mine from day one, got them for X-mas,  birthdays,  as a kid and they had sentimental value.   There is a local toy show here twice a year and I have been buying 1 vintage figure that's in great shape each time I go, so eventually I'll get there....

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone...

Rob
