It's been a while since I made any vintage purchases and then yesterday I went to Wizard World here in Chicago. Started off with getting upgrades for 2 loose figures - AT-ST Driver and Nien Nunb. But then the spending went through the roof when I picked up this bad boy...

I was waffling a bit on whether I wanted to buy it. The price was right and all that but I'm in the market for a home so I'm trying to curb my spending. Then I figured if I'm buying the BMF and AT-TE, I should easily be able to get a vintage AT-AT while I still have the green for it. I'm excited to have this new addition to the vintage collection and can't wait to finally get a new home so I can build a new collection room centered around the vintage.

you can always get the newer stuff later and maybe cheaper, but vintage stuff is hard to come by specially local. imagine if you would of had to get it shipped from eBay or another on-line store. you did the right thing. and to see it before you buy it is always a plus...

you're absolutely right, it's this line of thinking that convinced me to stop screwing around and buy the AT-AT.

matt: i haven't tested the electronics yet, I need to scrounge up some D cells. I'm hoping it works would be fun to play with.  ;D

I always preferred the electronic chin guns on the vintage as opposed to the POTF2 AT-AT.  I need to get my vintage stuff out of my parents' house!

Nice pick-up with the AT-AT there. I love how Kenner tried to cram as many cross-sells on the boxes as possible.  :)

I don't have the pic yet, but I picked up an unpainted micro Hoth Han.  I now just need an unpainted Han in shackles and unpainted Han on tauntaun to have a run off all the Han production micros, both painted and unpainted.  I've got a deal working to get the shackles figure, but I'm waiting for the seller to callme back.

Just a tad over a year ago, I picked up the Uzay Darth Vader limbs on tree. Today in the mail, I received a complete Turkish Uzay Snowtrooper.  ;D  8)

That's always been my favorite part of the vintage packaging. By giving kids ideas on play patterns they easily can push more product.

Dale: great score on the UZAY Snowtrooper, the visor is just awesome on it.
