Revenge of the Sith / Re: R4-P17
« on: November 25, 2005, 06:10 AM »
I just saw a several R4s at WM and one of them was the #68 while the rest were #64.   I picked it up and said to myself, "I'm in the military and move every 2 years.  What the freak am I going to do with this?"  I have 2 already and might have picked it up if and opened it just to freak out MOC collectors ;-)

Braved the stupid crowds this Black Friday morning.  WM at 0530 was ridiculous!!!  I almost didn't even pull into the parking lot, which was full to the gills.  Cop cars everywhere (6) w/ lights going, 2 ambulances, cats and dogs living together!  MASS HYSTERIA!!

Found: Final 5 (1st time I've seen them) including a #68 R4, plus Red Guard, Tarkin, and........the baby figures (Separation of the Twins).

I barely made it out as there were a ton of folks w/ 20" flat screen TVs and other nonsense clogging up every isle.

TRU didn't have anything but the new HALO 2 figures (no Arbiter) and no new Star Wars stuff.   Didn't even try any other store...

*Update* I should add that the Separation of the Twins are put on the pegs just like a regular figure.  No separate section for them and yes they are $4.77 in Northern Virginia just like elsewhere.

Found 3 Shadowtroopers behind the Lava figs (that are collecting dust...mostly Obi Wans).  Got 2, left 1.  I don't know why I got 2 since I already have 4.  :-\ I have the same feeling everytime I see a trooper.  I go to WM and I see tons of AT-RT drivers and I always have this funny feeling that I "need" more.  I don't know what's going on.  It's like I'm insecure about how many of these I have.  I guess it's because the ROTS trooper builders really are SUPER COOL!   Anyone else feel this way?   ???

Star Wars Action Figures / Re: Customs by Fritzkrieg Update 11-22-05

I love that!  Test Pilot is super cool concept too.  It would look mysterious in all black as it would be hard to see the details.  Sort of like that guy with the neat black helmet that Boush knocks down upon entering Jabba's lair.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: ROTS Figure Sales (or price hikes)!

Is "Black Friday" a good day to find figures?  ???  All the moms and grandmas are freaking out and buying stupid stuff so I hate to associate but if there are good SW pickins to be had I might tought it out...  Even if it's just for the sales on some army builders.

There are so many good figures and so many customizing options.  I just got another AT-RT driver so I can paint it all white like some of the newest customs I've seen.  I'll still get more #41 clones too.  They are just that good.  ;)  Definitely the best line ever!

Besides, "variations" get me especially when they are good running changes like the Shocktrooper on the #6 body, the "new" Bly with the dark stripe on his helmet (much more movie accurate).  I have 2 Blys and 1 Custom Bly and I'll still get this new version.  They are just that good...Do I keep saying that?  Yep, they are just that good!  Lucas really hit me in the pocket book when he decided to make "proto-stormtroopers" with different colors!  If he had stuck with the plain white all the way through it would be a much different story...

Revenge of the Sith / Re: ROTS Gunship - Where the hell is it?!

Hey, I live in Alexandria.  Where is this KB?  Sounds like it might be easier to get some figures if folks leave Gunships around for that price.

WOW!  That Gree is bad to the bone!  Can I get one?

I'm kneeling before Wobb...

That's freaking COOL!  Now I'm going to have to pick up an extra AT-RT driver to de-camo.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: Target's "Attack on Coruscant" Clone 5-pack
« on: November 20, 2005, 11:29 AM »
If you want versitility and figures that can be poses well get the Yellow Evo pack.  I all you want are more clones for your legion (i.e., figures to just stand around) the Clone 5-pack is the way to go since you get 2 more for your $20.

Saga Collection '06 / Re: TSC Recent Purchases
« on: November 18, 2005, 09:55 PM »
The stores around me have so much ROTS stock that there has been no sign of the "final 5".  Therefore, I'd just like to preemptively post that when you all start finding the 1st wave of TSC I will not be finding them for like 3-4 months after that... :P
