I had no idea the "exploding" feature on the POTF2 Speeder Bikes was so realistic... 

I feel like we're in a weird place where the only things I really liked in Expanded Universe are being brought into canon, but here are a few...

I'm in the same boat with the Legends EU. There were so many good stories that I really enjoyed and would want figures from, particularly from the X-Wing novels, KOTOR, and the NJO,  While I definitely want these for my collection, I can't imagine they would sell very well to the mass market these days. And most of the other more common figures I'd want are slowly being pulled into Canon EU.

I wasn't initially entirely sold on Cad Bane's live-action appearance... but it has definitely grown on me. The figure though, wow. I really think this one looks fantastic. I really think they nailed him and appreciate the slightly bluer skin tone. My only real gripe (and it's fairly minor) is that the hat looks slightly wonky, and not as straight as the film version. I assume it may be a limitation of the materials in 3.75" scale since it is removable. I am increasingly more and more in favor of alternate heads rather than removable helmets for TVC. Hats though are a bit different since it's nice to be able to pose the figures holding their hats. The cloak looks really good and plastic feels like the right choice sculpt-wise but it will be interesting to see how it affects the pose-ability of the figure. Overall though. I'm very happy with the images for Bane. It's nice to get all-new things. (Perfect choice for a cardback image, too.)

Jayson put up images saying the Tusken Raider is built out of the TVC Rey body.

I don’t know if it’s the start of a trend, but to me this is good news.  I don’t need the same figure painted thirty ways, but if Hasbro can use existing parts to give us unique characters, I’m all for it.  The tooling library is enormous, use it in clever ways like this.

Dropping the images here so we have them for reference. Overall I'd say this Tusken would have been one of my most wanted figures from TBOBF, so I am happy to her(?). I agree, the Rey part usage here feels smart. These are the kinds of kitbashes I generally don't mind for secondary characters, especially when they are done well. Given the current environment, I'd much rather have figures of secondary or background characters that are only 80-90% accurate, than either not getting the figure at all or getting fewer secondary or background characters made period.

I only have the previous TVC version and neither of its wings turn fully upright on their own without assistance and are both slightly limp when the ship is on the display stand. ( )

I like the decor on the new one, but I don't have space for a second version and still can't justify the $200 for it, especially since Hasbro didn't fix the wings.

11 - Unnamed Inquisitor - (Final Ahsoka episode) - {Realistic TVC style}

I'm fairly certain that he's been identified as the 6th Brother Inquisitor.  And yet another Star Wars animation character voiced by Clancy Brown!!!  I think he's up to 3 voice characters and 1 live action character at this point.

Nice, I had seen rumors but hadn't seen anything official naming him yet. I just went off of the credits & IMDB, both of which still had him listed as just "Inquisitor". I never read the Ahsoka novel which apparently tells the same (obviously more fleshed out) story as the last episode of Tales of the Jedi, and it names the Inquisitor as 6th Brother Inquisitor. Good enough for me. 

I didn't realize that we were going to get a two-fer this week. That was a pleasant surprise last night. Both were really strong episodes. As much as I do still enjoy the stand-alone episodes, I really love when they dive deeper into the foundations of the early Empire as these two episodes did. The senate scene at the end of Episode 8 was a chef's kiss, I got chills. I am hoping we still get to see Rex & Echo pop back in frequently.

Damn good episodes this week…strong Clone Wars vibes throughout. Ian is so money.

I can’t help but think how amazing it would be if this show had its own dedicated 3.75” animated line. 

I never really did the animated figures (originally due to money and space) but I'd be down for a few. I'd still prefer TVC-styled-realistic-figures inspired by The Bad Batch. I really miss the days of getting more than a single wave of figures from a new movie/show...
