I recently found two Lost Line figures at Toys R Us stuffed in odd places around the toy section. Has anyone had much luck finding these out and about?

Well, in theory, collecting should have some personal meaning, regardless of what you collect, otherwise it's mindless consumerism, but I see what you're saying. The problem is that more often than not, I see many collectors go into automaton mode, buying anything & everything that comes out, and it shouldn't be that way. Maybe that's why I like watching "Collection Intervention" on Sci-Fi so much.
I have caught myself buying things and asking later "why did I buy that?" I wish I would have saved my money for this other thing (Kubricks in my case) that I like more and that I have more of a connection to.
I think I may have seen something like Collection Intervention - this older couple had a specially built barn to house their Cabbage Patch collection. They built a merry go round for their dolls and had "playdates" with other collectors (as if their dolls were real children). It made me feel better about myself!
I thought, "Well at least I'm not that crazy."

I'm very new to this forum but am intrigued by this thread. While I tend to agree with Force Guy(?) because I don't particularly care for the prequel trilogy, I have no interest in collecting everything Star Wars, and i find abject consumerism a little repulsive even though im plenty guilty of it myself, I figure it's not my place to question the collecting habits of others.
Perhaps it would force Hasbro to step up their game if people didn't just buy whatever dreck they put out. But is there really any meaning to any form of collecting? Isn't it all just the accumulation of stuff no matter how selective you may be?

Well - the clips I've seen were pretty cute. I love the animation. I'm a little sad Princess Leia has to play out like a Paris Hilton type... But perhaps it will appeal to younger kids more that way...

I have some more questions for the veterans.. How does one find news about Medicom and new releases? I don't get much from Google searches. Also, in another thread someone mentioned ordering exclusives from the Medicom Club. How does one become a part of that club? Someone also mentioned ordering new releases from people on this forum. How does that work?

Thanks. Currently I'm trying to complete my DX2 series.. but being new just realized I'm missing the two harder to find Kubricks of that series. Well i have the Hoth Leia but no bonus parts.. And I'm not even accounting for the two(?) secret chases from that series..

Hello - I am relatively new to this Kubrick collecting. But quite addicted already. I recently got a Series 6 - Luke Skywalker in X-Wing Fighter Gear. He came in a sealed bag with the box. He looks great. But one of his arms is quite loose/floppy. Is this something that happens from time to time or does it mean it was damaged or is flawed in some way?
