No. Of course not. It froze, lost all my information. Also, the shipping was more than the figure. That is a NO rule in my handbook. It may have been a stupid decision on my part, but I made no further effort to obtain one. If I have a spare 70 bucks to throw away one day, I'll snag one on Ebay. If not, I wont die.

If the same fiasco happens with Hicks, no more exclusives (From Spawn.com) for me, ever.

EDIT: I used the spare cash my grandma gave me to pay for it on some Star Wars stuff. 8)

As it stands the Predator is now sold out.  I wouldn't be surprised to see them put more on sale shortly, but right now the store is sold out.

It took me about 2 hours to "buy" mine. Ive never been able to get through before so could anyone help me with this confirmation letter they sent me. It sounds like I bought it but I didnt..

Here's the letter:

We are in the process of confirming the availability of the product(s) you ordered and the method of payment you have designated (both of which are set forth below). Once we have completed that confirmation process, we will be able to accept your order and proceed to shipment.

Attention: During peak ordering periods, it could take up to four weeks for your order to be delivered to you. Our peak periods are during the release of new items, especially Exclusives, and December. All other times, you can expect to receive your order in about one week. All orders are shipped in the order in which they are received.

Once your order enters “ready to ship” status (as shown in your order history profile) your credit card will be charged. When your order actually ships an order tracking number notification will be sent to the email address you entered when placing your order.

If you should need to contact us regarding this order, please go to http://www.spawn.com/info/contact.aspx . Please send your message to “McFarlane Toys Collector's Club” and make sure you include your order number along with your contact information.

Does everyone get one of these letters? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Robb

Thats my first time ordering off Spawn too & I got the same email. Its just an order confirmation & they will let you know when they ship your item out on a first come first serve basis. Depending on how many they had, it will take time to get the orders out. Should be no problem, just keep an eye out on your email from them.

Yup, everyone got that email, so basically it's a confirmation email.  The system is set up to cover what they have in stock and runs out when they're gone.  Damn logical, I can think of a retailer that could use that.  But Spawn.com always holds a pile in reserve.  I expect some more (not THAT many) will come on line in a while once they've verified they filled the first days orders.

LUCKY. :P Maybe if they did things a little better, I'd have gotten a notice too.

It appears my presumption that more would be available is incorrect.  Posted on the spawn.com board by Dion Bozman:

Quote
Official word: There is no more inventory. This figure is SOLD OUT. Unless we find a lot of duplicate orders -- which we don't expect -- there is about zero chance this item will be offered again online. We did save a limited number to be sold in the Tempe Store as promised next Wednesday, Nov. 24.

Congrats to those who got the figure and my apologies to those who missed it.

I still think there is an absolute ton of them out there, the site was busy all day and very slow.  I would think the production run would be at least 10,000 or so.

There maybe that possibility that some orders may not get filled due to Credit Cards not being approved. Then again... :-\
