Kubricks / Kubrick Stormtrooper Han & Luke 2-Pack

It's a pity that they appear to have gone for a straight reissue of these figures. At least if there was a different paint app the original chases wouldn't be completely devalued. If this trend keeps up I can see myself losing interst in this line.

Also, any word on a 2010 5 pack? Surely we would have heard by now if there was one on the way...

So can we expect any new Star Wars kubrick info/pictures out of Wonderfest??? Does Medicom typically have a display/make announcements at this show???

I'm disappointed that we still haen't seen any pics of DX3/4 from this years exhibition...Jeff, I note you say that it takes some time for these pics to surface...Has it taken this long in previous years???

Turns out I couldn't wait. Got my Anakin on Friday there. I really like the figure (even if it is only a repaint).

First full set of 9 is up on eBay. $499 from ronnicshop. That's mad money for this set. I can't see either of the two chases going for much more than $100 once the hype dies down...

Yeah the chase situation with the DX wave has been pretty disappointing overall.

I want to get the chases but I really hope that the Fett can be picked up for cheap. I would like to get it to complete the collection but would be very slow to pay big money for him.

No interest in the background display...

Anyone got a gut feeling on this one. I want to pick it up but I hate paying over the odds on these. I've been offered one for $135 shipped from a seller that I trust. What do people think??? Is this likely to go much lower?

I was just looking at the (admittedly bad) picture of the Fett chase that is purportedly part of this line.

The only difference that I can see between this figure and the S1 chase with the red gauntlets is the tone of the plasitc for the figure itself. The S1 figure looks to be a dark grey colour and this one looks almost white. Has anyone else noticed any other differences?

Also any ideas why Medicom are rehashing chases when there are a millon other figures they could give us?

If we are doomed to getting repaints how about a vintage style Yak-Face....I'd rather something like that as opposed to seeing older figures thrown up again.

I wonder if his head will also be removable??? And surely he has to come with a net of some sort so Chewie can carry him around...

Are we likely to see official pictures from the event or will we have to rely on someone taking pictures on the sly? It's killing me hearing about all these new figures on display and not being able to see photos of them. There are quite a few Be@rbrick pics floating around but nothing of the Star Wars Kubes...Anyone have any insights?

When do people think the master cases will start arriving? I note they were due to ship on the 20th...I really want to see some better shots of these figures (particularly Jabba...).

I'm in exactly the same boat as I Am Sith. Picked up the Sandtrooper about six months ago. I really hope that there is some difference with this version (even if it's only as minor as the changes they made to the Snowtrooper in the DX2 wave).

I'm really not blown away by these announcements at all...

Those prices are ridiculous...I'd say anyone who pays that'll be kicking themselves in a months time. Once the hype dies down I think these will be cheaper.

I guess from the sound of things that the Fett is a 1/96 chase. It seems like such a weak option given the number of Fetts we have already gotten...we have 13 different versions of this character already. I really hope that they surprise us with final chase but I don't think it's looking likely.

I now have really mixed feelings about this whole move to the DX line. The base set both for this series and series 2 have far to many variants for my liking. So far, out of the eight figures revealed for DX1 we are only really getting two new characters (not counting Jabba)!!!

On top of this, while I do love the Jabba figure, I really am not crazy about the upcoming vehicles announced for DX2 and beyond (AT-ST/Sandspeeder by the looks of things). I don't think they fit in all that well with the rest of the collection. I assume the extra cost of producing these 'build a figures' means less is being spent on the base figures. Right now, if I had to choose between the current waves of reissues/repaints with vehiles and going back to waves with more original figures I think I'd prefer the latter.
