Rogue One / Re: Rogue One 3.75" Wave 2

I was able to get Jynn, Chirrut and Cassian from this wave couple days before Force Friday from a local connection...

Jynn is the best of the trio. Chirrut is decent, but Cassian is sub-par... at least from my perspective.  He should of at the very least had a removable hat.  Chirrut also would really benefit from articulation on his wrists.

I think it's a pretty good bet that the 5 POA Death Trooper Specialist will make it to retail before the WalMart exclusive version.  The same goes for the 5 POA Shoretrooper figure, whichever version it is.  I see that happening very deliberately.

I've also been wondering this:  is Admiral Raddus a conscious nod to Ibtisam from the Dark Horse ROGUE SQUADRON title?

Maybe he is... but looks like the movie is going to have some more of the species with gray/blue skin too... looks really cool to me.

I placed an order as well for 2 sets of the 3.75" walls on Friday.  Can't wait to get them!

Well you were right, it is designed to pop off.  Mine really had a hard time popping out.  Maybe I just have a crummy one.

Anyways, with the launcher off, this thing looks superb.  I'll probably pick up one more.

I picked one of these up yesterday.

I have to say, it looks really good but has a major problem for me... Hasbro added a big missile launcher to the side that is not removable... you can remove some screws from the side of the bike, but even then it looks like you'd have to actually break the plastic to get to the other set of screws that hold the launcher in place... so stupid...

You're talking about the Rebels animateds Imperial Speeder Bike right? That missile launcher is designed to be removed, it pops right off. Sounds like you got a problematic launcher.

It is?  Not from what I see.  I tried and if I pull it any harder, it's going to break.  Please show me a pic if you can of how it easily pops off.

Rogue One / Re: Rogue One Imperial AT-ACT Set

Early look on YouTube of the walker (and LOTS of other stuff, stick around for all of it):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwMc7FzLBr4

I'll say the walking feature is pretty cool. The Nerf thing is pretty cool. All that combined with the reviewer's enthusiasm really warmed me up to this thing. I would love to have one just to play with all the stuff and then put it away forever. That said, it's tiny and SO OVERPRICED as to be beyond belief. This is at best a $150 toy. $200 is stretching reason. If I can get it for below $200, I'll definitely consider it.

Yes, $150-$200 is my acceptable range for this thing as well.  I will pay in that ballpark price once it hits that low, which I assume it will.

Well, I watched the guy at TRU pull one out of a case, alongside the Ezra and AT-RT repack.

Rogue One / Re: Rogue One "FORCE FRIDAY" Official Thread...
« on: September 29, 2016, 09:32 PM »
I do expect more than a few "ripples in the Force" coming up too. Targets around here have showed zero signs of prepping so far, and I find it a little hard to believe they will all magically have their aisles reset by 8am tomorrow when the doors open with all the new stuff on display. Just like I find it hard to believe that at 12:01am every Walmart computer will update instantly to allow the proper ring-up, pricing and sale of the new stuff. I foresee many possible checkout line frustrations...

Does anyone know Target's plan?  Are they just going to put these on pegs in the normal aisle, or will they drop these on standees like they did for the refresh when the movie was released in April?  Last year my local Targets had stuff in both the toy aisle and in a "seasonal" aisle in the back dedicated to TFA product (clothing, toys, cereal, etc.).

Not sure on how much product, but some of the stores have a big cardboard AT-ACT that will be part of the endcap display... it's huge.

The TRU by me got in over 20 cases of 3.75" Wave 1 that I got to take a sneak peek at over the weekend.

I'm confused.

So does this mean that JTA's concerns are unfounded if someone scanned the other item that IS allowed for sale?

Yep, but keep in mind, it's the same assortment as currently warming pegs (Ezra Speeder and AT-RT walker) - and those are repacked in this case too - so some stores might not even order these at all...?  If you see this though, I'd grab it right away as it might be one of the harder Rogue One items to come by.

Just found one on eBay too, so at least I don't think I'm going crazy.

Oh, I'm sorry - you are asking about the Imperial Speeder - NOT the AT-ACT.

Yes, I saw the Imperial Speeder in a TRU stockroom on Saturday.

Doubtful. Who even knows if the AT-ACT will hit at this point as no boxed shots or shelf reports have turned up for it yet.

Didn't CHEWIE see one at a TRU last week or something?

I'm actually fine to wait. The more $$$ I can save this week, the better.

No, I didn't see it... here's my posts at various forums about what I saw:

I was fortunate enough to go into the stockroom at a TRU today, and was able to see what they have ready to go onto the floor... they had a LOT of the first wave of 3.75 (20 cases?) and about a dozen cases of the first wave of Rogue One TBS 6"... and lots of 3.75" 2-pks... looked like a fair supply of vehicles too... was able to open some of the cases, and for 5POA, these do look extremely good.

A little more details about when the employee at my local TRU allowed my son and I into the stockroom yesterday.

The quantity of 3.75" figures was impressive. It had to be about 20 cases.  He popped open a case (all was Wave 1 there) and I got to look at the figures.  They all looked extremely sharp for 5POA.  They also had quite a few cases of the 2-pks.  The figures looked great, except for Poe.  He just looked ridiculous... that set will pegwarm.  I did notice that the Sabine I saw had REALLY sharp paint apps... much better than ANY Rebels figure I've seen.

He also popped open a case of the 6 inch wave.  They looked good... didn't realize that Rey was in there again, with her lightsaber... I don't think she needs to be release AGAIN already, but whatever.  Mask-less Kylo looked good.  And the Rogue One figures looked awesome.  They had at least a dozen cases of that wave.

He said he thought there were TIE Strikers and U-Wings buried behind all the other stuff and I thought I saw a couple TIE Striker cases.  But lots of figures at least were there.  I didn't see the AT-ACT or I would have asked if he'd pop a box open.  Also, he said they were expecting another big shipment of Rogue One stuff Tuesday this week.

For anyone with a TRU in your area that is doing Midnight Madness, I was able to go into a local TRU stockroom last weekend. The employee gave me an early look at what they had - which was a ton of Wave 1 3.75" Rogue One, a lot of 6"TBS Wave 1... much more than what they got in last year for the event. Obviously this will vary by store, but I'd be surprised to see my area Walmarts have as many of these figures out on Day 1 as what this TRU had ready to set in the aisles.
END SNIP

I did mention in a thread at RS that I had seen the Rebels Imperial speederbike though.
