The Vintage Collection / Re: Vintage Collection Rumors
« on: June 23, 2011, 11:45 AM »
I am actually very excited about some realistic CW figures. I was in that camp that was pissed at the animated figure direction. I really believe that hurt the line and not help. If they were realistic I think it would have brought in some more kids on the mainline. Guys like me who buy most items has only purchased a handful of animated figures most for their accessories, they lost a lot of money with me. Spilled milk now but I am glad they see the writing on the wall and are addressing the market. After the main characters I do not mind seeing some Clone repaints (Echo, Fives) and repaints of Mandos using some Boba/Jango parts in exclusive sets. I agree there are some great aliens to tap into that would be better than repaints. I am all in on this on what they offer.

I always prefer anything OT over all prequel stuff but if it's realistic I am in.

I think we we see a lot of exclusives in lieu of the Blue Ray push. Every retailer will want something special. Outside of not being able to find squat at retail I am very happy with the Vintage line and really look forward to see what left for this year plus the usual small sneak peek at 12'.

I am hoping for a BMF surprise but I know it's very unlikely. I am jonsing for some new stuff and more Han Bespins & Rebel Fleet troopers to complete some scenes.

coupel weeks ago I was playing the sarlac battle, and was telling the old lady that I would like a new Skiff lando and Jedi luke, then the Q&A said we were getiing essentially that with the deleted scene figures, then when I told her about that coincidink, she asked who else I would like to see and I responded with Tarken and Bespin leie now they are announced..so if this spell is still working, should I pontificate a Tonnika sister with her?

Can you mention Ackmena too?

Announcements / Re: Forum Upgrade In-Progress

Thank God...this "temporary" look is HORRIBLE! What a godawful eyesore! Can't wait for the return of the classic JD look.

I do not want to pile on the poop as this is in progress but I just popped on and was thinking WTF. Sometimes Change is not a good thing.

Glad to hear the old colors are coming back!

MP, you are the man!
He is so much the man he sent me $.63 sent back. How much more honest can you get? If that does not speak volumes what does!

Other Toy Lines / Marvel Select Munsters
« on: June 8, 2011, 03:39 PM »
I did not hear one pep or see anything about these until I was opening my SW Vintage Wave 7 cases from BBTS. There was a small card flyer that showed Herman. I opreordered right a way, these a so "F"ing sweet! There is even a build a chair among the 3 in series 1!

I am a huge Munsters fan so I for one am very excited about these and wanted to spread the word. Not sure how many Munster fans are on JD but even if you are not these figure look sweet!

So VBarris cape and hood can coem off seperatly
thats great news, I can keep teh hood and ditch the plastic cape, add a SG one from somehwere.

Correct! It allows the head/hood to be move L/R without the cape itself.

I received my cases last night this entire wave is just awesome!

- Captain Fordo is a really kick ass figure. I have a few to change the looks. Both look great!
- Han Bespin really delivers despite a few minor misses
- Logray is the best Ewok to date and
- Fleet trooper is a figure collectors will go nuts for. I am sad I only have 3. Need more, lots more ASAP!
- Barris is a solid Jedi and making the Cloak a 2 piece plastic was really smart to keep the aesthetic right.
- Bom Vidam is perfect! Lots of accessories, articulation and detail. He is perfect!

This wave is equal to the ROTJ wave! There is not one figure that falls short! FYI - This case also includes the Boba Fett with the corrected boot paint job that was in short supply back during the Xmas season. If you missed him before you will be able to find him. I have 2 available if interested in my trade list. yes, it was a plug and friendly info at the same time.

It's been awhile but I updated my list with a lot of Vintage MOC leftovers from some cases I purchased! I am always open to trades or sales!

The Vintage Collection / Re: Vintage Collection Y-Wing
« on: June 7, 2011, 05:07 PM »
Normally I would agree with JJ sentiment on this not being new but for some reason I am not feeling a void on this not being new.(I was supporting this either way) I think it was hard to justify a new tool with the more sluggish sales the line is currently going through (i have a good friend over there who confirmed this). I think we would have seen a new tool if the CW Y-Wing/Arc SKU performed better at retail. I strongly believe since they flopped the entirely new one was scrapped. It would need to be $70+ to make it happen, people are just not shelling that out these days as loosely as before and the track record of that price point put a nail in it.

I still like what they did with the old tool.

The Vintage Collection / Re: Background character resculpts
« on: June 7, 2011, 04:57 PM »
I think the Sleazbango figure is fine as is, he is a good figure from the lackluster prequels. Why would he ever need to be resculpted? I cannot disagree with having less enthusiasm for prequel backgrounders (or any character from them )in general like I do the OTC. The OTC is loaded with so many lovable muppets and obscurities that seems to never end. I would go nuts for a Wort or the balding seal faced Mosep. I can't think of one prequel character that I am jonesing for.

I would even love to see these losers before prequel characters:

Ariq Joanson

Debnoli

Local Ugly Man # 2 (unnamed)

Corellian Pirate (unnamed)/

I know the above is off topic but it was more in response to the resounding agreement that we all want more OTC before prequel stuff!
