The Original Trilogy / Re: Star Wars Trilogy DVD Impressions
« on: September 23, 2004, 11:25 AM »
I noticed a wierd thing with Yoda's dialogue when Yoda is on Luke's back and Luke asks "Is the darkside stronger?". When Yoda answers he says "No.", then there's a mumble and he says,  "Easier. More Seductive"

I noticed it in the documentary when they showed a clip and on the DVD so I guess it's always been there but I never noticed it.

Has anyone else noticed this? Anybody know what the whole line is/should be?

I watched it last night at work on my portable DVD player. Awesome picture on this little unit, the sound & man is it clear!  :o

As for the scene, right after Yoda's little training speech, Luke says "Vader. Is the dark side stronger?"
Yoda replys, "No, no, no. Quicker, easier, more seductive". Quicker is said very fast & sounds like a mumble.

Thanks! Weird that I never noticed that before.

I picked mine up at Westwood BB at midnight. It rang up at 51.99 and I didn't think anything of it in the excitement. Today I was watching ANH and it had two spots where the DVD hung up. I returned it to another BB and got new copy and a $10 credit to my card.

I wonder if anybody else overpaid and didn't notice.

Here's a sample of the updated Vader voice (old mix first, new second):

Vader Change

Much, much better.

Wow that is better! I always hated that it sounded as if Vader was speaking into an empty coffee can in ANH.

The Jabba scene looks much much better. Jabba looks good and at least Han isn't poking him in the face like in SE.

The Greedo scene looks better but I still want the original back.

The duel looks awesome.

Excuse me, but is that a GREEN lightsaber there?!?   ???   >:(

It can't possibly be.  Right?  Please tell me that's not what I'm seeing.  Please.

Uh. WTF?!

That is just not right. Where did this pic come from? Please tell me that this a PhotoShop job that someone made as a sick joke.

midnite madness... for a dvd? man, get a life  :P - what are you gonna do when you get home, spend the next 6 hours watching it??

uh... no. But this way I don't have to get up early the next day and head to Target at 8am.

I took the day off on the 21st so I'll just spend all day watching them. ;D

I'll be hitting the Best Buy Midnight Madness. Hopefully I can win one of the 3 prize packages their giving away. Each one includes the DVD's an X-BOX, SW Battlefront and the grand proze includes MR Vader lightsaber.

Should be fun.

I know we have bunch of L.A./SoCal people on the board so I was wondering who plans on going to the Midnight Madness at Best Buy in Westwood.

It looks like it should be a lot of fun. Cool prizes and people dressed up. There's only nin locations nationwide hosting these which I find very surprising.

I've already taken the day off from work on the 21st so I'll defeinitely be there the night before...

who's with me?! ;D
