I've got three bounty hunters done now. I think I'll donate one of them for the Hurricane katrina relief thing we're doing for e-bay.

If I could afford ricky's clone commando figs, I'd buy them in a heartbeat. Too bad I'm poor and have even poorer sculpting ablilities. if not, I'd have done it myself :P

I still think that ricky's commandoes were the best clones ever. I mean, those things are made from scratch! it's crazy!

Some rebel generals. In case you can't tell, I like Quarren and Trandoshans quite a bit for customs.  ;D

I know this is from the first page, but I had to comment on the human rebel general: What head was used? it looks EXACTLY like my freind's dad!

I still like it. You gave him a striking resemblance to Christopher Lee. I wish my photo editing skills were that good :P

...and this is what our schools are teaching our children.  :-\

Don't worry, it's only a fraction of us that can't formulate grammatically correct sentences. See? I'm fifteen and I can spell on a level that's higher than elementary school standards: there is hope for the future, don't worry.

Customizing Tips and Tricks / Re: Custom Clones - Clean or Dirty?
« on: September 11, 2005, 08:38 PM »
while we're on the subject, does anyone know how to make weathering look really well on like mandalorian armour? I'm trying to see how I can weather my Jatser Mereel.

One thing I've done on ships that I've customized is get an old paint brush, preferably the cheap Walmart kind.  I'll dab it in silver and then wipe of most of the excess paint on a towel or rag.  Then I'll lightly brush it over the surface.  This works pretty well for me.  For vehicles I've done it in both silver and with black for a pretty good look.  However, I haven't tried this on figures before.

That's called drybrushing, it's a very handy technique for customizing figures (just ask CHEWIE  ;)).

I've practiced my dry brushing, actually. Before that post I discovered I could give a "Scratched up armour" look by dry brushing some silver on my mandos. Thanks guys!

Swesome choice of parts for that self-jedi slicer. I've got my self-custom almost done, I just need to find some clonetrooper arms that I had on another custom before. I can't find it though :P

W00t! That's the endor background I submitted!

Well, Like I said, I've got my Ubese bounty hunter finished. I'll submit another one, which doubles as a self-custom for the group project, me as a bounty hunter of course.

that's an awesome self-jedi custom, Chewie! It looks almost exactly like you, too! That's exactly like you actually!

I could see if I can get you one or two from my TRU. They're warming the pegs here, so when I get more money I'll get some for you. I'll see how much the figures are and how much shipping would be, then I'll getback to you ASAP.

The Original Trilogy / Re: The Battle of Endor: Ewoks vs. the Empire
« on: September 10, 2005, 05:22 PM »
Plus, the empire didn't spend too much on the armour to be honest. Stormie armour was more mass-produced than clone armour and made of cheap duraplast. Also, the ewoks defeating the stormies was a symbolism for George in ROTJ. He was trying to convey the message that you could be victorious without advanced technology. the Ewoks were really good at guerilla tactics.

While I agree with chewie on the colouration of Bly and his amigo's visor's, I'd keep the silver visor ofthe aqua clone. It just looks right to me.
