Revenge of the Sith / Re: NEW TIE Fighter

"... i still wish they get rid of the ancient battery pack and sculpt us a freaking engine...."

They did, the TIE tha KB had last year has the proper little hole for the engine.  The batterypack is gone.  This ne sculpt will have the updated engine area.

Y'know, if someone really wants ideas on a small item to mass produce and sell, the red stuffed cantina chairs would be great.  They could be sold as "Space Lounge Chairs."  One could also make the little round bar tables with the lights in the center.

They should do a paint variation with the light grey from ANH.

I really don't undertsand wanting reapacks. If you're a new collector, and there's a figure from that past that you don't have and you really want, go to Ebay or Brian's Toys or something.  I mean, if I started collecting McFarlane toys today, I would expect to buyolder ones  through dealers and auctions.  I don't expect a toy company to repackage old stuff just becasue I missed it.  I would want the company to focus on new stuff.

I don't mean to be harsh, but one of the fun parts about collecting is tracking down older pieces that you really like.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: Happy for the "Slow Down"?
« on: August 3, 2005, 10:35 AM »
I lucked out the other day at KB of all places.  They had the Pilot Obi-Wan wave, and the Mustafar Anikin wave.  Ani was the only figure that was gone.  It was nice to get 5 new figures in one day.  I have yet to see Tarkin, or the Zukusa wave.

Oh yeah, put the Eopie in some sort of Tatooine pack with Kister and Wald and I'll be super happy.

Y'know, that slug could have a windup feature that makes it's legs wiggle back and forth, and it could have wheels underneath that would make it scoot across the carpet.  I'm all for it.

I agree with "only new stuff' when it comes to creatures.  I'm sure they're all avaliable on ebay for decnt prices.

This looks nice, I think that the photos are pretty unclear...

The package made me laugh. Leave it to Hasbro to promote "Larger Scale Wings" instead of "Proper Scale Wings!"

Other Collectibles / Attactix Breaking?
« on: August 1, 2005, 10:57 AM »
I bought a few sets of Attactix for my 9 year old nephew yesterday.  Within an hour of moderate play, two of the "strikers' were no longer working.  The springs just gave up.  Is this common?

Yeah, I just picked him up, and I must say I'm really happy with him. He looks great next to Evo Ani.

I really wish he'd come with and extra left hand in the "v" pointing postition he used before fighting GG.  That would have made this figure the best ever.

Love the face too.  Something so right about it.

Hey,  That figure looks great.  Just curious, what is that he's satning on.  Looks like some sort of pegboard, but the holes seem really small, and did you put the pegs in?

Whatever that materiak is, it would be great for display pieces.

I want a Rebel Fleet Trooper.  Please?

Realistically, 50.00 is fine.  In NYC, the Sideshow figures (Planet of the Apes, Outer Limits, X-Files) all seem to got for about $40-45.  I would expect that SW would be a bit more expensive.  It's always seems to be the case.

Not sure if this is off-topic, but after getting the Evolutions Anikin set, I'd love a neutral, posable "Refugee" Anikin from AOTC.  The one from Saga with the telescoping goofsaber was nonsense.

Saga Collection '06 / Re: Advertising
« on: July 25, 2005, 10:38 PM »
Hasbro ran a few magazine adds during the second part of Saga.  But it was odd because the adds were in toy collector magazines (Tomarts, Toy Fare), and I thought that the SW line was for kids...
