Edit by JediMAC: Split this topic off from Shannon's previous thread, and edited the title.

Unfortunately, the news none of us wanted to hear but knew was coming has arrived.  Shannon passed this weekend.

 :'( She will be missed.

Watto's Junk Yard / I wonder if a blaster was involved...

 ;D

BUFFALO, N.Y. A false alarm at the Buffalo, New York, airport.

Officials say a suspicious bag prompted authorities to clear the airport's main terminal early this morning. The bag was later found to contain "Star Wars" toys and memorabilia.

A spokesman for the Transportation Security Administration tells a Buffalo radio station (W-B-E-N) that the bag was apparently left by someone who departed yesterday on a flight bound for Miami.

After the bag was removed to a secure location, officials discovered it held nothing but "Star Wars" stuff.

The security sweep resulted in long lines at the check-in point.

Watto's Junk Yard / Bad Star Wars mojo in my area...

Just in from the Associated Press....

LINCOLN, Neb.  (AP) - Angry, he is.
Jason Scott of Lincoln says about $4,000 worth of Star Wars memorabilia he's collected since his childhood has been stolen.  The 34 year old Scott says he noticed Friday that the padlock on his storage unit at his apartment complex had been broken.
Upon investigation, he discovered the Star Wars collectibles kept there had been taken.  Among them were an original 12 inch tauntaun figurine, now valued at $125, and two carrying cases with 50 figurines inside.  Also missing are three rare figures of "blue snaggletooth", an obscure character who appeared in the cantina scene in the first 1977 film.  The figure is prized by collectors.
Scott says when he discovered the theft he "almost hyperventilated".

Guess the moral of the story, don't store in a storage unit.

« on: February 26, 2005, 12:34 PM »
A very simple topic.  I started looking over my collection, which is in the midst of being unpacked from box after box for display and it hit me.  When did I first start all this madness and when did I go over the edge?

So, here is all you need to do...
complete the following phrase~~~

I realized I became a fanatical Star Wars Collector when...

Hey! Here's a great suggestion for the mods.  Why don't you have us take surveys on every inane thought that comes into your head?  ::) ::) It sure seems to work for other collecting websites.

Here's some ideas for GREAT surveys!  ::)

Your favorite sandwhich spread
Your favorite type of fish (pet or food)
Your favorite kind of subject in school

I think INANE SURVEYS ROCK!  :P

Modern Classifieds / Desparately Seeking Bobaphat
« on: April 30, 2004, 06:40 PM »
Am trying to connect with the SW fan who goes by the name of Bobaphat over at Rebelscum.  I believe he also trades here.

If that is the case, I would like Bobaphat to give me an email regarding our possible purchase.  I sent one PM over at the 'scum right before the forum changes and another yesterday.  Due to the forum shifts back and forth this week, not sure if you got either of them.

If you are Bobaphat or know him, I would like a reply at hansolo_506@yahoo.com.

THANKS!

Watto's Junk Yard / Your favorite quick snack..whatcha like?
« on: January 17, 2004, 01:49 PM »
I was wandering into our kitchen last night and got to thinking about what I could fix myself really quick.  That brings me to the question,...

what is your ultimate thing to fix (not cookies, etc) that you really enjoy eating as a quick snack?

For me it's a PBJ (grape) and a tall glass of ice cold milk.

Yours?

Watto's Junk Yard / Sci-Fi Hotties.. ONLY Sci-Fi
« on: January 13, 2004, 05:24 PM »
Since we have been debating who is or isn't hot in OCB's thread... I felt we needed to get specific.

Thusly, the thread for those hot in the Science Fiction realm.  Who are your choices?  We will start with the one that got me thinking about it.

Mystique, as portrayed by Rebecca Romaijn Stamos.

EDIT>>>sorry... looks like someone disabled my first link.  Hope the second pic I chose is more appropriate.
