I heard that Kevin!

I'm starting to feel like a total dork with my "Star Warsy" name...  Scott started a bad trend.  OCB bit the dust, then Nataku, now Tydirium, rebeltraders, and Zod...  The peer pressure is killing me!

Oh, and to answer the original question of this thread, Rob means:

rob    ( P )  Pronunciation Key  (rb)
v. robbed, rob·bing, robs
v. tr.
Law. To take property from (a person) illegally by using or threatening to use violence or force; commit robbery upon.
To take valuable or desired articles unlawfully from: rob a bank.

To deprive unjustly of something belonging to, desired by, or legally due (someone): robbed her of her professional standing.
To deprive of something injuriously: a parasite that robs a tree of its sap.

I was thinking the same thing the other day. My roommate (who has been one of my best friends since highschool) thinks I'm a dweeb for having a name like "Sith Lord Chaos." Since we are on a first name basis here anyways, I thought I'd join the croud. I never start trends, I just follow them. ::)

My name means "little king." I happen to be neither little nor a king. :P
"This is the way."

I never really found a name that stuck or meant anything to me. It's nice to see the real names becoming a trend.

I think it would actually stick if everyone had a unique real name instead of a unique forum name.
I remember my dream now.

Long ago, in college, I used to use a chatroom BBS called Olohof to keep in touch with some friends.   The first time I logged in there was as a guest.  I asked the room how I got a user name, and someone told me to type "/n name"

Being a total noob I took those directions literally and the system changed my ID to name.   It stuck.

 For 10 years.

Yikes.  I'm getting old, and I've wasted far too much of my life online.

This sticker is dangerous and inconvenient, but I do love Fig Newtons.

10 years?  and you are saying you are getting old, blah blah blah???  That's nothing... I feel like a grandma next to that...

Well, whippersnapper, I remember when Prodigy was only in around 5 cities and we were glad to have it!  You didn't even get to choose a name, you were assigned 4 letters, a number and then another letter.  I think I was vxtn28c.  Yeppers.  The C meant I was a kid, since A goes to the primary and B goes to a secondary (like dad and mom). I was actually 18 and going to college at this time.   And we were glad when we actually got colors besides blue, gray, white and black on our screens!  And we were MORE than glad when we finally moved from 1200 bps to 2400 bps... Why, we could leave the room and do something else before the next screen would come up.  And don't even ask how many online divorces I had already been through by the time you were typing in your little "n/name" thing!
tsk tsk tsk... young'uns...
You are starting to damage my calm.

My real name is "Gregory" but on a test (I think it was the "Early Warning Test") there were only enough boxes for "Gregor" and then it had my middle initial, which was "B".  From that point on, I went by "Gregorb" (because there are too many "Gregory's" out there!)
Gregorbian is just what I use for screennames and stuff, I guess it's some sort of reference to Gregorian monks or the Gregorian calendar or whatever  ::)  I just kinda like the ring to it  ;)
The scariest thing that I've ever seen,
Is the terrible AT-AT walking machine.
It's as big as a house on walking legs,
and whatever it steps on it crushes like eggs.

Bah, I originated the first name bandwagon years before those fools.  :P
