My understanding from some of the books is that the Hutts tend to have drug cartels or mafia-type syndicates. Let's face it, the Hutts didn't rise to power or anything through hard work.

But according to imdb.com, Lucas is Producer & Executive Producer for the movie, as well as receiving writer credit for the story and characters.

Ah, but WHY is it EU? It is released as a Lucasfilm movie which seems to have been the qualifier for years.

Star Wars Universe / Clone Wars: EU or Prequel?

So does the Clone Wars movie belong in the Prequels or the EU section with the other Clone Wars cartoon?

I do like the homestead, but I'd much rather see updated Lars family figures soon. Beru isn't bad (for a POTF2 figure), but that Owen figure is terrible.

Star Wars Universe / Re: 5 out of 6 movies

Here's an easy one, but no one has done it yet:

5 of the 6 have "the" in the title (A New Hope being the exception).

The Original Trilogy / Re: Uncle Owen/Aunt Beru and C-3PO

I think part of it, too, is that Owen views droids strictly as machinery for the farm. Whereas Luke is comfortable creating a relationship with them. And I don't think Beru had enough contact with them to care. But for Owen, it would be like noticing the difference between two alike hyperspanners. There just wouldn't be any difference to him (now some people who really work with their tools can tell theirs apart from others that exactly alike, but I don't think Owen worked with them on this level).

This past year I started watching them with my 3-year old (he'll be 4 in July). He knows the Star Wars characters better than any kid I've met, so I wanted to let him see some of the movies (though my wife wanted him to be a bit older). We started with Ep IV and waited a bit until we watched another one. He seemed to have some bad dreams. But I've shown him IV, V, VI & I. In that order. The prequels are a little more violent, it seems, so I'm a little slower in showing him those. It'll be a while until he sees Ep. III since it's PG-13 and the others are all PG. He's not ready to be exposed to that yet.

if he were older, I'd probably shown him to them in 1-6 order. But for as young as he is, the OT is a little more kid friendly (Lucas tried to make the PT with more kid appeal, but it's just not as kid friendly as the OT).

It was a good one--I'd be surprised if they don't do a remake at some point in the near future, though.

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: A power only one has achieved....

I'm going to go against the Qui Gon theory. It's a good thought, but it appears that post-death force apparitions appear to who they choose, and no one else is none the wiser. Look at the prequels for that. Vader has no clue that Obi Wan is still guiding Luke--or even able to.

I'm now in the Twin Cities, but still have the figures for sale.
