For some reason these images completely blew me away. They're awesome looking. I'd be cautious about getting too crazy over these guys, they could easily be awesome customs...
I'm really digging the shirt-less Kit... Nice indeed.
I'll buy em both if these are real!
-
I'm also pretty excited about these. It looks like Saesee has cloth robes...excellent! Saesee also looks like a great figure to customize. I like the Kit Fisto figure too. This is probably from his rumored underwater fight in the clone wars cartoon.
-
I also noticed that theForce.net had a story (and link) up to scans of the cartoon's sketches that were handed out at Comic-Con, looks like these figures match up fairly well to those sketches.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWW!!!!!
-
Yeah...these were the same guys who posted those nice Coleman pics that Brad had done...so take these with a grain of salt until official confirmationa arises :-*
-
Kit Fisto looks fantastic to me. Nice job if it's a custom. The missing tip of Tiin's horn is a nice touch.
-
I must say, I almost pooped myself when I saw that Kit figure. Oddly enough, I drew Saesee CLONE WARS CARTOON style at work...
I truly hope these are real figs that are schedualed for release...

I am in total awe right now! I cannot believe how awesome those two figures look. :o
What's even better are the drawings of the Clone Wars cartoon from Cartoon Network. I honestly wasn't all that excited about the cartoon, but I am extremely excited about it. I would be very happy if George Lucas would let Cartoon Network run a series of different Star Wars cartoons after the 3rd movie is out. That way the Star Wars genre would continue. I know I would love to see a cartoon based on all the books and comics. That would be sweet!

No shirt, no shoes... No business! (in best Spicoli voice)
Guess Kit won't be eating at a few of the finer dining establishments 'round Coruscant until he finds the rest of his duds! :P I really dig his look though. Very unique, and risque for the SW universe and it's respective Hasbro line - it's first bare chested character! How much you wanna bet this CW Kit has no problem getting a date with my Slave Leia figure...? This stud's got it goin' on!
Saesee looks pretty cool too, with the busted horn and cloth skirt. Definitely at or near the top of the CW line these two Jedi are in my book! 8)

You forgot one Matt...
The worst SW figure of all time (and that says a lot with Rocket R2 out there)

-
Scott, how could you possibly say that Darth Maul figure is the worst figure of all time? Are you on crack or something!? R5-D4, Monkey Face Leia, buff Lando & Luke... you feeling OK buddy?? :-\
That figure was designed because of the comic book from Dark Horse Comics. Looks just like him in that comic book, and I think it was done perfectly.
Everyone has their own opinion I guess.
-
His arms fall off, I hate EU and he is stuck in some rediculous poses due to the lack of ball joints, the way his head and body are leaned...oh and his saber broke while I was taking it out of the package...Worst Figure Ever
I actually don't mind R5, he is a pretty cool with some minor adjustments
-
You forgot one Matt...
Whoops! You're right. Must've forgotten him since he's been off foolin' around with Oola somewhere... But at least Maul's got his boots on still! I thought this Maul figure was actually pretty cool personally. I'm not as rough on my toys as Scott here, so my Maul's limbs are all still happily attached... ;)
-
Those are cool looking!
-
Nice looking figures... Now that's what I call "battle damage"... I'm really looking forward to these. :o
-
Im excited about these two. Kit Fisto is awesome looking!

Has anyone else noticed that Kit looks alot like a Predator?
Kevin

*gets up against tree limbs in a swamp*
He is one..ugly..mutha..
-
He does sorta look like a Predator.

I love the Kit Fisto. Great picture... :) All ripped and ready to tear someone a new one. Kit could have his own cartoon series I think, a nd it'd be popular. Subtitled but popular.
The SaeSae is "eh". I'd liked to see a more neutral figure of him considering his Saga counterpart was a bit of a pre-posed crud figure like so many others. I'm hoping he has good parts that lend well to customization though.
The Kit just rocks though... THAT is a good EU figure. :)
-
Has anyone else noticed on the "separatists" (http://www.iesb.net/cwb8.jpg) page of those sketches, there's a droid that looks an aweful lot like IG-88?
(upper right-hand side)

It does look a bit like IG-88, but in the books he is exactly as he appears in ESB. So, I really don't know who that droid is in the picture. Good idea though.
-
I'd say that is IG...right down to the bandolier
The thing that bothers me about this whole thing is that they tricked out everything...headsets, bandoliers, gizmos etc...and then you look at some of the spoiler images from EIII and really there is a nice transition to that from EII...shirtless Jedi? Yoda with a sombrero?
This is why I can never get into EU and most concept crap should stay where it is...crap
Oh and we are forgetting the most naked figure in the line
(http://www.rebelscum.com/potj/POTJdxlukebactafront.jpg)
-
I like em both, but Kit is my favorite of the two.
-
Kit is definitely my favorite of the two!
-
I wish that Kit had a shirt on... this shows that they are gearing that towards kids totally.
What the hell kind of species is Kit Fisto anyway?
:P
-
hes a Lucasian
a creature spawned out of the dirtiest of places, the lucas mind.
btw, i love the figures.
Kit looks really cool, but saesee...
i hope its not a cloth dress... lol
but well.. i can't really comment much because hte pics are just too damn small to do an analysis... haha
-
Kit in the concept book is shirtless because he's swimming so I figure that's what they're going with. I'm cool with him as is, because he looks to be good custom fodder, though a "poseable" Kit would be nice someday considering how crap his Saga figure is. :(
-
Actually, I hope Saesee does have cloth robes. That way he'll fit in the Jedi Starfighter, since he's supposed to be one of the Jedi Order's best pilots.
-
Yep, Saesee would look cool in a Starfighter.
So what's going on, you low down dirty Scoundrel??
:P
-
Well having seen the New pics i have a new/more comments to make.
the Kit Fisto, although having a he-man name... is really cool.. hehe.
yes very similar to the concept art also..
i too would like more articulation on him though, ball joint arms would have been nice..
he does have ankles though, i guess thats a plus... especially because its on both of them.
maybe Hasbro is learning to do equal articulation on both sides of a figure...
Saesee does have cloth, and that will enable him to lead your Jedi Starfighters into dog fights..
it looks pretty good and a lil ragged.. but considering its mid war, that is good.. but the material appears to be some what thin.
oh well i guess.
oh and the headgear looks to be removeable as a backside headshot reveals.
but i guess only time will truly tell.
-
Yeah, Saesee jumped 10x in my opinion. I like him even more than Kit at this point.
That looks to be one VERY poseable figure.
I wish the Saga Jedi for last year had this much attention paid to them... The Clone Wars Jedi strike me as some very nice figures... If we'd gotten a Kit Fisto in his Jedi Garb like that, or Nikto Jedi, or Shaak Ti, or whoever... I'd have liked to see poseable versions of ALL those figures. Instead it was the pre-posed figures of 2002 who aren't likely to see many (if any) resculpts. :(
The Jedi rocked all in the movie, too bad their respective figures couldn't say the same.
-

:P
Same old, same old, CHEWIE. Can't wait for this new stuff to be in my collection. I'm sick of seeing Jango Pilot on the pegs! :P
-
Yep, I think that this is by far the best Sae Sae Tiin figure that Hasbro has produced. I didn't really feel that way until I opened him, here's why I like him so much:
- all of his guantlets are removable
- his headgreat is removable
- his cloth skirt looks cool, but plastic might have been better
- he can hold his lightsaber with both hands
- he has articulated wrists AND elbows
- he looks pissed off
- his broken off horn looks very cool
- his lightsaber blade is removable
- he does NOT look like an EU figure at all with his extra gear removed
Yep, this is a must have guys! Definitely pick this guy up, he's worth it.
:P
-
I agree. This figure proves a few things in my book.
1) Soft Goods skirts for Jedi can work well I think... Colors match well, and look good I think, and if we got at least one well articulated soft-goods Jedi figure of every Jedi, I'd be much happier with the Jedi figures. Awesome sculpts on some Jedi have been sorely hampered by lacking articulation or robes that do nothing but hinder the figure's poseability.
2) ALLLLLLLLLL Jedi should have arm articulation enough to hold a sabre with 2 hands and still pose their arms at their sides. All of them having ankle articulation (ball/socket) would also help very much in the poseability department, but the arms are key.
3) The jedi pilot headgear does NOT need to be bulky and stupid looking to be removable.
4) Armor doesn't have to be bulky and stupid looking either for it to come off.
5) This figure is more fun than ANY Saga Jedi figure I bought last year. Hands down. I wish they were more like CW Sae Sae Tinn. He's a good one.
-
This has been (other than the SA Clone) my most anticipated CW figure, and I am not disappointed at all. I think the soft goods works very well, especially since he's a pilot, and should be able to sit in the jedi starfighter. I like him so much I may even customize a red starfighter just for him.
This figure really shows to me that someone at Hasbro is using their head. He's a realistic Clone Wars figure. He doesn't look EU. The broken horn looks great, and the face sculpt alone gives us more character development that we've ever seen on film.
I hasbro decides to continue the CW line at some point, I hope they use this amount of imagination, other than just giving us Batman style add-ons.
-
I just got this Saesee Tiin (note spelling, Saesee Tiin ;D ), and this is a great figure! It has definitely exceeded expectations in terms of sculpting, articulation, and the execution of the softgoods. I'd like to get a couple more, and I think I may "retire" my POTJ and SAGA versions. There's just the matter of the broken horn.
I have one gripe, and I think it's a legitimate one: he doesn't fit in my Jedi Starfighter's cockpit. Saesee Tiin's bio states that he's one of the greatest pilots of the Jedi order. He's even depicted in the Clone Wars cartoon piloting a Jedi Starfighter. Well, I tried putting him in the cockpit, and the canopy won't snap shut. ::)
-
At first SST would not fit in my Blue Starfighter as well. I found out if you push him in all the way and slightly make him sit up and not against the seatback he fits rather well and the canopy shuts all the way. It looks as if he is leaning foward to look out but it works.
I really like this figure.
-
I'm glad to see that everyone seems to agree that this is the best Saesee Tiin (thanks Nicklab) yet. It's much better than the POTJ or SAGA versions.
He has even found a home in my Arena Diorama, I find this version to be much more appealing. :D
:P
-
I agree whole-heartedly. Best Tiin ever.
-
Mine still doesn't fit. And that's in both my red SAGA one, and the blue Clone Wars Jedi Starfighter.
-
I got this one a few days ago, I really like it alot... the soft goods to me where a nice touch. :)
-
this threads a little old, but i think saesee would look just as nice piloting a republic gunship (assumign he'll fit). i just thought of that right now. maybe he never does it in any of the episodes or anything, but i think it would look rad.
