Feedback / Re: Bad Trader Thread
« on: September 16, 2008, 06:52 PM »
Hi, I've got a problem with an online store not giving me refund for figures I paid for incl shipping, but they never shipped it.
I've contacted the store and they told me that they had it on back order,
but for the last couple off months they had it listed as "instock".
I placed this order containing some SHS figures in early June,
they shipped the cheap ones but didn't incl the ones that costed more,
the Electra figure alone costed me 35 $ and even more so with the shipping.
I contacted the store several times and they keep going on with the same B.S, they'll send me my money back within the week, they'll refund my card asap and thanking me for my patience...
This has been going on for almost 10 weeks now.
I got a strong feeling that this store claims to have items they don't,
and they are stealing money from people buying these items.
I could also be so they are targeting international costumers cause it would be harder for us to visit this store with a baseball bat and not leave until we got our money back.

The store in mind is http://www.TOYGLOBE.com
Is there anything I can do to get back at these a$$ holes.

edit: 2008-09-25

www.toyglobe.com sent me back my money today.
Funny, I sent them a crazy mail about me posting about this in 5-8 different forums each day untill I get my money back and it worked, three days and the money was on my account.  :-D

I love that Tradoshan.  Great smile on him.  Great idea too...why can't they be sith?

Yeah, and I'm planing to make another one, one with a little more character,
What I've come up with so far is that he's a hunter and Darth Trenor uses him for seek and destroy missions, he collects trophies from his hunt's and the only target that escaped him is our hero/ traitor/ deserter...

Yes, they are shiny, I've ran out of Testors dullcoat and tried Games workshop satin varnish, The guy at the store said If I spray lightly the figure wouldn't shine that much...
I just hate it when they don't know the products they are selling :(

Hi!

When I did my Darth Nhil figure I used super sculpey for the armor,
He fell and the spikes and a part of the shoulder armor broke...

I had to redo the armor, so I cut out a corner from a figure bubble and glued left over parts from diffrent figures, anything looked like a spike, then I worked the sculpey on to the armor and put glue over the boiled piece.

He fell two times after that but the armor didn't break.
The moral of this post is, put your sculpey around something more durable and you'll have slightly better odds if an accident occurs.

Or maybe I just got lucky ;)

Good!  ;D I like your work!
My favorite is Maul, you made him as good as any of the top guys n girls making comics for a living!
When I was younger I used to make comics, and I learned to draw my characters from diffrent angels by making customs of them, That was how I got started, without even knowing it.

Jocasta's Reading Room / Re: SW Legacy from Dark Horse Comics
« on: January 30, 2007, 12:16 AM »
The Legacy comic is my favorite, I just love how Cade turned out after seeing his father, friends and mentor being struck down, He didn't become an avenger or some fanatic "save the world" do good'er after the trauma,
Instead he became a thug, a bountyhunter struggling with the memories from the past. Thats realistic to me.

And you probably hate me for this ;),
But how did Luke react on seeing his foster parents killed,
did he have any nightmares over their burnt corpses?,
I don't remember that he had, or that it left any scars.
he took it rather well...
...and that's not real to me.

p.s I got some Legacy customs up in the customs section d.s

Thanks man, your right about the eyes, they are to white and I need to darken the area around them(sockets?).
As for the armor on the chest I used this pic and some other as reference

As you can see on the pic's he got "Vader legs", but in a later issue the pants had changed.

One thing tho is the color of his eyes, I've seen, yellowish almost gold and blue color to them. but wookieepedia says blue...

Wulf's softgoods... The skirt is agen kolar and the black and yellow fabric is made out of my...
... boxers :o :-[
Got them as a Christmas present but they where to small...
but a little cutting and I made em fit Wulf ;)

I painted them, got the idea from when I got some paint on my clothes,
the paint stayed even after washing...

I tested to do some action shots, would really like to put together a photonovel one of these days...
When I know how to do it.
Chewie is Yoda at that stuff, the force is strong in that one :)

Hi, Today I bought some citadel paint, brushes, primer and games workshop purity seal ( satin varnish).
Is there anything I could know before I use the sealer on my custom's,
I've only worked with testors dullcoat before but it was sold out at the store so a bought the one from games workshop...

I also placed an order on some figs, two of them where dagobah Luke's,
so there will be a cade and nihl 1.0 soon :)
