Hemble, your work never ceases to amaze me.  The thing I like best about this is how you blending to two different toys to make the head and hair.  It looks great.  You definitely need to get a shot of this guy swinging from a vine.  As always, the paint applications are spectacular.

I might be interested in some of the BBI stuff.  Let me know if there is anything good left once you've picked through it.  I'm looking for generic (neutral) human heads too.

For the Poster, you should definitely add some text around it.  Maybe even photoshop in a background picture too.   I think the stars work okay but it might look even cooler with a location shot.  I dunno, something to think about.

I like this droid.  However, I agree its much more believable commissioned as a salvage droid.  He'd look good with my Jawas on Tatooine.

I love the "Stylized" poster look in the last photo.   It would be cool to have more customs displayed in this format.  Obviously you loose the detail of the figure but can really make a cool artistic view.

I thought I posted a comment on this guy but if I did I can't find it...... if I did, then I'll just repeat myself.  Anyway, I really like the way he turned out.   I think the soft goods look excellent!  Soft goods can be very hard to add to a figure and this is very effective.  My only (minor) criticism would be to try and clean up the lines along the face.  As we all know, its tough to paint straight lines  ;D

Fritz,
I like the new deadite.  I think this may be one of my favorites.  You little mini-scene there is believable.  Imagine a Stormtrooper and commander finding a relic from the Clone Wars.  Keep em coming.

For what it's worth.  I finally named this guy:    Semel Odon.  He is a hermit that lives on Tatooine.  His species is the Shenzeeder.

Phruby,  I really like the way Aayla turned out.   The soft goods around the waist came out very well.  I may try to find some leather scraps for other custom projects.

However, now you need to take advantage of the articulation and pose her a bit more!

I really like the female Mando.  You did great job with the sculpy.  It looks very believable..

Concerning paints, you can order Citadel paints (also called Gamesworkshop or Warhammer) paints online at their site.  I'm pretty sure the prices are the same but you'd get stuck with shipping.  Its usually $2.5 - $3.50 for 1/2oz bottle of paint.

It's showing for me Brent... if you aren't getting it, it's a Cave Troll from LOTR.

 :P

I'm thinking it could be something I had almost used in a photonovel.

I've been thinking about it but feel I need to modify it a lot to not be so LOTR.

 :P

Not seeing any photo....

Smartypants - looks good.  It is definitely a nice blend of parts.  One minor criticism would be to tighten up the lines along the face.  That small detailing is obviously very difficult to do.  I really like the soft goods use on this figure!

(sorry Starkid, thanks for correcting me)

Darn, no pictures.... looking forward to seeing this one.  Sounds like an interesting mix of parts!

Fritzkrieg inspired me to try some Star Wars "Hotties"  I picked up a couple of anime figures on Close Out at Sam Goodies.

I'm gonna hold you to that :)  But I'm not holding my breath.

I use an Epson Photopaper and printer too (for my snapshots).  Anyway, its something to keep in mind but even if they did fade some, you could always replace them - thats the beauty of recarding your vintage stuff.

Its nice to see the wall filling up.  I still want the air hockey table, will you a take a Scorch for it? ;)

When you print your cardbacks, do you use a special printer or paper?  I'm just curious about the "archival" quality of the cardbacks and the issues with them fading with time.  When I print pictures on my photoprinter, the fade like nobody's business under florescent lights.
