I'm kind of excited about Colton. Like the Retro look of the costumes. He'll make for some good customs, and hopefully an updated Antilles with a headswap. I feel so alone on this one...

The Legacy Collection / Re: Legacy Wave 10 - A New Hope (Fall 2009)

I just ordered an embarrassing amount of Scanner Techs, Col Dyers and several others.
I can't be sure, but Tungori may be getting early samples, because all the Maroon Geonosis Battle Droids I ordered came with painted eyes, where I'm lead to understand the packaged versions (which haven't, and may not show up at retail here) do not?
Whatever the case, it's a great way to army build without  having to resort to retail, while the price for me is relatively the same :)

Received a few of these loose of Ebay today. Giran and Nikto are spectacular, was surprised to see knee joints on Giran, although the sculpt leaves them a little superfluous. Major Panno is pretty solid too, just wish he had been given a holster and somewhere to put the comlink. Leia is a little disappointing, especially the paint apps on the separate torso. Very sloppy work there. Wish I had pics to share, but if you guys have questions, let us know  :) Didn't get the others from this ave, just these 4.

... At this point I wouldn't mind all future battle droids to be one piece PVC with no articulation, kind of like those little plastic army men. 2 per pack and were good. :-\

Hasbro, please ignore the above comment. Clearly this person was under the influence of medication or other mind altering substances...  ::)
Nope, just realising that the plastic Hasbro uses is just to flimsy for this sculpt, and remember, this will probably be the go-to sculpt for a while.  So I'd rather see Hasbro use either stiffer plastic that can handle the articulation, like they could in the earlier 90's, or not bother with articulation at all and give what I suggested above in preposed positions like the Clone Wars line 3 pqacks. But only when it comes to Battle Droids.

The Holiday special has some great cantina guys, but if we ever get Ackmena I'd want a Tork http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Tork as well, ever since I saw him on the cover of an old Starlog. ;D

Got the figures I wanted off my ebay dealer, don't get to exited over the new battle droid. The arms and legs are now ball jointed, and the head moves more freely than earlier versions, but it is still extremely flimsy, and is unable to hold the blaster with both hands. The POTJ security droid is still hands down the best version. At this point I wouldn't mind all future battle droids to be one piece PVC with no articulation, kind of like those little plastic army men. 2 per pack and were good. :-\

Got A few John D's from the same seller, good to see the neck post is painted flesh, unlike the X-wing Wedge. And why is it that these minor characters (thinking back to the death star briefing set) are getting such awesome headsculpts, while the main characters, Luke, Mace etc are still so off. This is the perfect X-wing Pilot.

I got a few Wedges' off Tunghori, and the ball socket is very small, and completely orange, no flesh colored paint at all.  The headsculpt isn't as good as the comic pack, but passable. Helmet is nifty. I found it easier to custom Biggs, Keyan and some others on the Nrin body, by cutting down the socket aqnd adding gloves. However, I'll grab some John D's and see if it has a better socket. Corran too, when he's available.

I think we'll see a rerelease of The Yavin Tech, especially if Hasbro has to do a repaint wave further down the track. Surely their internal marketing shows this set to be a hit ? It hasn't be released yet downunder, but I've bought 13 loose tech of ebay as really good prices. I'd buy at least another ten if was single carded...

Those legs still look mighty flimsy though...

Just because I haven't seen it mentioned, I swapped the lower legs of Cpt Needa with Jundland Luke. Color is so very slightly lighter on the legs, but I think they look cool. Still love to see the Tank legs on further versions though...and I personally wish the uniform was the the grey color of Jerjerrod and Veers, which seems more sreen acurate, though really hard to tell with Imp uniform.
Also Leia-best headsculpt so far and not pin headed. Absolutely perfect. Got a spare on Mac Starkiller 8)

The comic that came with Tank and the Amanin warrior was definitely one of Dark Horse's better efforts in the EMPIRE title.  I would've like to have seen a little more articulation in the Amanin, but it's a pretty good figure considering the price point.  But the sticking point for me with this set is the color of Tank's uniform.  The concept behind a UNIFORM is that it helps a military unit achieve a UNIFORM appearance.  His uni doesn't match any of the other Imperial officers in terms of the coloring.

Here I was thinking the same thing. If they colored Tank the uniform Imperial gray, I would've bought at least 6 of these sets...
His coloring is interpretive of the comic, which everyone complained about on the Marvel sets, but seemed to give this one a pass ???

I just can't bring myself to army build this one, it's just... wrong. Really annoyed as Hasbro. To me this is the most disappointing rebel figure since Jan Dodonna. Can't want to hear their explanation. "Couldn't cost it out". Everything else is perfect, so why? >:(

I wanted a rugged, beat- the- crap outta someone Indy, so I used the following:
KOTCS Indy legs and head, cut down, hair painted and hat from DX horse Indy
TOD Indy torso (I know-sacrilege!)
Arms, jacket, satchel and belt from LC Indy
Finally, I wanted him to be fightin' mad, so I used the right (gloved) clenched fist from GI Joe Shipwreck, and open left from the same, but haven't painted them a leather color yet. I'd really like to do another and dusty him up a bit, but we'll see how easy the TOD Indy is to come by...Also hoping someone has a good recipe for a Nepal Marion.
Sorry no pics, but trust me, its a pretty good recipe :)
