30th Anniversary Collection / Re: Hasbro Figure Stands
« on: June 5, 2007, 11:03 PM »
Got mine this morning. I wish they'd release them as movie specific sets. Hell, I'd settle for a set that just said 'Star Wars',but overall I'm glad to have them.

Sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere or should be elsewhere, but what do you folks who have squads of snowies do with the UGH things (if not redeeming them yourselves)? Do you trade or sell them or would you consider doing so?

I'm plannign on keeping a set or two for myself. I'll have a third set. I'll probably trade for something else. (This AFTER I mail it in. It would be in bad taste to just trade the little stickers, IMHO. But at least with the coins, there is something solid to trade, not to mention you DID spend $4.95 to send away for the coin set. So that seems more fair when asking for something in trade. Again just my opinion though.

Thanks. I was just curious. I'm considering building a squad of snowies and wasn't sure what everyone else is doing with the leftover stickers. Most likely, I won't be getting more than 1 set of figures, but I know I won't need more than 1 coin set.

I'm looking for Yoda/wilted lettuce trooper. Can anyone help me out?

One thing that might get their attention and maybe ellicit a real response is a submission (a well worded, intelligent, level-headed, yet stern submisson) to the Q & A session once those resume. Can't hurt. If they're like most companies, the left hand often doesn't know what he right hand is doing. Maybe by getting the word to the folks who actually answer those questions a positive resolution could be reached.

At least it isn't the "Who's your daddy?" pack with Anakin and Padme.  ;)

Shouldn't the "Who's your daddy?" set have Anakin & Shmi?  :)

I saw these the other night too. I think it was Tuesday night. I have one stashed, but for now I'm worried about finding Biggs to finish out Wave 3 and getting the Vintage figs.

For future exclusives, they should put a large banner stating the item isn't subject to discounts or coupons on the product description page. Then on the checkout page, they need to add a pop-up or something that takes the code out & informs the buyer, yet again, that the item isn't subject to discounts or coupons. They should at least eat the shipping and use this as a learning experiene.

I found all of Wave 3 except for Biggs, Mi'iyoom & Ellis. The new stormie is OK, basically a VOTC w/ a different head & removable helmet. Maybe it's just me but his neck seems bit short. With the helmet on it looks like he's shrugging.

Don't worry then.... you're only missing Biggs since those aliens are in wave 4 ;D

Right on. I saw the aliens listed in Scum's website as being part of Wave 3 but elsewhere as Wave 4. I guess I find them when I find them. If I find Biggs in the next couple days, that'll be the fastest I've ever gotten an entire wave.

SW Monkey: I can't tell if the helmet is fixed or not. I'm not sure what it's being compared to I guess. On the figure, it looks fine except it looks like he's hunched over. The helmet fits pretty loose compared to others. I have mine displayed with the helmet tucked under his arm. I'm not sure if the head is all new or re-used from the Death Star Gunner w/ scars added.

I'm kind of on the fence with this thing. On one hand, if the exclusion is on the site in plain view then it's the customer's fault for not looking/reading. On the other hand though if there is an exclusion of any kind whatsoever, it should be item description page well before you get to the check out. In the interest of good customer relations for an already dicey situation, I think they should stick to the code (so to speak). What portion of the page was the exclusion on? I didn't see one when I ordered the figure stands. I used the code for those & haven't gotten any emails saying it wouldn't be honored.

Thanks. Since I already have most of the Saga Legends figs in one form or another, it'll make getting the coins easier.

I picked up McChewie yesterday. He is one rocking figure. He's huge. Gotta be 4" easy. He's just as ugly as the original painting. The only drawback is trying to get the BFG into his hand.

Am I correct in the assumption that the Saga Legends coins are movie specific rather than character specific?

I found 5/6 of Wave 3 this morning. The only one I have left to find is Biggs in Academy Uniform. I was shocked. Found McChewie right out of the gate!

One thing I just noticed on the Jawa- He comes with a droid caller. I never noticed it in the pictures. He has a holster for the droid caller in addition to the one for his sidearm.
