Rebelscum has pictures of the Battle Pack Echo (501st) and a cold weather Plo Koon from a cancelled comic pack. I did not know Clone Wars style comic packs were ever planned.

Trench would make a great mail away. ...At least with the mail away we know we can find the product.

They said no more Clone Wars mail aways.

Chewie's all but a sure bet. Which is why I never considered adding him to my list.

The Bullpen / Re: Captain America: The First Avenger: The Toys!

Saw the comic wave of figures. Not bad, sloppy paint on a few of them. They need to stop being stingy on villains, as some of old types don't know about WINTER SOLDIER (whose Marvel Universe figure peg warms at TRU) but know Zemo and other baddies.

The frisbee "FLYING SHIELD" amuse me...it's just a frisbee! BUT IT'S SUPER PATRIOTIC!

The motorcycle/ATV toys with the figures stuck in riding pose...hated that as a kid, still do.

Hall of Justice / Re: Mattel Green Lantern Movie Figures

Simple articualted figures...I saw some two packs at Meijer for $10 (Jordan and the guy he gets the ring from, and Jordon and some alien GL), which is decent for modern figures. Singles were $7. I think the sculpting is overall better than Infinate Heroes.

The small vehicles were terrible in that they figures with them aren't really action figures when seperated from their machines. Killwog (undersized compared to carded figure) has legs permanently in riding mode, and the battle suit Hal Jordan is just an immovable painted figure that goes inside the armor.

The final battle Parallax was amusing with some chest bursting grabbing monster hand.

Anyone else watch how they ended SG:U?  I can't believe Sci Fi isn't keeping the show going.

The only thing I'll watch on there now is Eureka.   :-[

Universe had much improved, if still often annoyingly cliched. Like putting the women in jeopardy: nurse TJ has Lou Gerig's disease, Chloe becoming an alien, Park going blind. And the disposable character who panics during a crisis just to make a regular cast member look better for their response to them.

There was too much use of the stone to go back to Earth in season 1, when more should've happened with Destiny.

Still, it was engaging. Some people who wanted the cheeky, hokey stuff from SG-1 and Atlantis...but why retread that material in a post LOST/NuBSG era?

Pretty heavily milked movie.

1. Palpatine - Declaration of Empire (that old ROTS deluxe figure doesn't cut it...or even make sense)
2. Padme - Bun Hairdo
3. Denaria Kee (Passel Argente's aide)
4. Veedaaz Awmetth
5. Giddean Danu
6. Imperial Cruiser (Star Destroyer)/Republic Navy Officer
7. Coleman Kcaj
8. Polis Massan GH-7 medical droid and Midwife Droids
9. Koyi Mateil (More Twi'lek chicks the better)
10. Koffi Arana (hey, I didn't see him, either, but he's listed at Starwars.com)

Obscure background senators...fun! I won't list redos we know they'll get to of every clone and clone officer.

The Vintage Collection / Re: Vintage Collection B-Wing

I'm looking forward to skipping this vehicle like the previous two releases.  ;)

I'm glad they show love for the more obscure vehicles. Just not a space fighter collector per se (though, thanks to garage sales, I've got a wing of old style X-Wings...mostly incomplete). My Farlander and Ten Numb figures will just have to sit around and play cards.

Bom Vimdin...  Pure awesomeness to me, since he's the Cantina dude I've wanted the most now for a while (as Hasbro keeps knocking them out pretty steadily).  Love the deco, love the detail...  Loving that he has a rifle he totally doesn't need (and most Cantina dudes don't come with extra weaponry).  I forget but his background I think is a bounty hunter in the EU, so the gun makes sense from that perspective.

Of course he's a bounty hunter. If not, he'd be a spy, criminal, assassin or a rebel sympathizer who later flew a fighter at the Battle of Endor. Nobody in that bar was a drunk who worked at the hardware store or an insurance salesman.

He's the must have figure of the wave for me. Because he's never been made and likely won't be reissued after this.

Was at another WM tonight, same deal but not marked...  Legends are $5.  I got the last Snowtrooper.

I went back to the wal-mart that had them at $7.88 last week and they were still $7.88. So the 3 inconsitent local Wal-Mart thing remains in my area, bummer as the two with more Legends have $6.50 and $7.88 prices. There's just one more store I'm willing to try.

They had scads of AOTC CLones, which really makes the market for those basically nill...  For anyone looking to swap out the old SA sculpt for the new SDA sculpt, you're really going to eat it when selling those I think.  I mean, $5 a piece nets you a ton of them at WM right now, plus the bonus weapons, stands, and the card game thing...   :-\

They've already been devalued over the years, in part to years of Legends, folks selling off their armies and Asian-based ebay auctions (from some that you can sometimes get for $3 a figure). In fact,  that $5 isn't that cheap to me, that's probably the most I would've paid for one even a year or two before the new SA sculpt (which I don't own, as I haven't seen one to buy). Same goes for plain white phase 2's. Lots of them out there. The Legends incenitve is the additional weapons (that are going away) and actually seeing what you are buying.

The Evolutions Darth Maul had soft goods skirt, and no ball hips. Good bet it's the same figure.

Packaged and Loose Pics up at Sandtroopers.com

No surprises.

Yes, the battle droid looks like the current one. But I really doubt this will be only way to get that droid in tan.

The thread at Rebelscum officially ruined this Taun-Taun for me when someone pointed out the arm placement is based on the maquette not the life sized puppet.  :P

They could make Han Solo's and be really quirky and have the "Then I'll see you in hell!"* version of Solo without gloves and a removable hat (to carry in his hand).

*How does a galaxy far, far away have "hell" in its mythology? "Then I'll see you in Mustafar!"...doesn't work.  :P

Collect All 92! / Re: Gamorrean Guard

Friar Tuck sure is heavily armed.

Friar Tuck was one of those impossible to find figures; I never saw one. I do like  that the Friar has his left hand in a fist so he can punch the Sheriff of Nottingham in his stupid ugly face.

Someone should totally customize a new one using the new guard figure.  :D

More Wal-Mart weirdness, the third one closest to me still has Legends and Clone Wars for $6.50.
